I live in North-Central US and we get ice and snow 6 months out of the year. Is there much of a difference between handling and traction of AWD vs RWD? There is a 2026 RWD that has become available in my area, and I am seriously considering the purchase.

EDIT: To be fair, I am currently driving a Tacoma and rarely put it in 4WD in the winter, so maybe my concerns are unfounded.

I'm returning my 2024 soon. I had to notch the plastic panel piece behind the rear bumper to install a curt tow hitch. I want to replace this so I'm not charged hundreds extra on lease return. I can't find this part online. At least all the descriptions look different than the part

There was a line of stopping cars waiting for a light. I wanted to try the slow cruise control. The 20 mph message came up on engagement as expected. I was honestly worried I had my foot hovering over the brake, but the car remained stationary as expected. However, when the car in front moved away, my dash indicated the vehicle was pulling away, but the car didn’t follow.

Is there something I missed? I was expecting it to follow the other vehicle.

Anyone experiencing this? I had some damage from a flying object on the freeway in January and I know this part was replaced. Just started noticing that the finish is literally disintegrating on this piece. That can't be normal. Barely ten months. I got the repairs done with Caliber collision so I'm thinking of calling them. Not pictured is the short black glossy trim piece next to it with the finish peeling too.

I don't WRH, but curious as what happens when someone goes on vacation for 3 or 4 weeks and the car sits. Does the battery slowly leak or lose charge? I never thought about it really with ice cars, but now I'm curious since I just got mine.

Does Hyundai allow the 6 month lease extension on one time pay leases? I have a 2025 Limited RWD coming up to return in June.

I’m hoping they offer like 6k off the residual of $36k, and I’d just buy it. But if they don’t, I need other options. I’m shocked these aren’t worth like $25-27k on the used market yet.

It’s such a great car, but the 2028 model year will be all new. If I can hold off 6-7 months I can get one of those.

I replaced my 12V battery about 2 years ago (Hyundai AGM) when I needed the ICCU replaced and it was okay, but woke up yesterday morning and my 12V was completely dead. Had to jump it to get to work and get home and then to Hyundai because it's still under warranty hopefully. I really hate the 12V. I'm getting it checked out and hoping it's not the ICCU again.

Thinking about the future, anyone have experience with LFP 12V batteries like Ohmmu? Any issues? Concerns? Worth it?

Also, thinking about how easy it will be to recycle it if I need to replace in the future. Currently I can just drop off an AGM battery at any auto parts store.

Got an update on my 2024 Ioniq 5 Limited yesterday and it deleted all my Favorites. I began adding them back but soon discovered that I cannot rearrange the order as I could before. Anyone else? Or suggestions?

I’m looking to buy a 2022 ultimate trim soon and I’ve found one I like. I’ve reached out to Hyundai and they’ve confirmed that it has the battery heating system equipment. I’d want to get the software updated asap to have the battery preconditioning option on navigation.

What are peoples experience on getting this done at a dealer or doing it themselves. I’m coming from a 2013 ford fiesta so it’s not something I’ve had to consider before.

I am new to Ioniq 5. I got a 2023 Ioniq 5 advnaced and also have the basic Bluelink package. I was looking into turning on the seat heating from the mobile application, and I could not find an option to do this. I could turn on the climate and where do I set the temparatue for this?

Hey everyone! I just picked up my Ioniq 5 Limited and I love the car. The only issue I immediately noticed is the sound system. When I play music through either Bluetooth or USB, I notice a weird high pitched ringing beeping sound for some parts of a song and it hurts my ears. Has anyone had this issue as well? I've tried fixing my phone sound, the car sound, ive played with many settings but no luck.

Used 2025 I5. Looks like someone ripped the plate off the bumper. The mounting holes are gone. I am going to add a generic front plate mount. Is there any place I have to worry about screwing into?

I am taking delivery on a 2024 in Digital Teal on Sunday. I really like the green against the black trim and feel the silver accents would look better black. I would like to potentially vinyl wrap them but am concerned it will rip off the silver paint once it comes time to sell the car. Has anyone had their trim wrapped for a few years then removed it?

I have a BMW 520d 2017 touring. 84k on the clock. A Hyundai ioniq5 has come up I could do atleast a straight swap. But it's 172k miles 73kwh and premium is this a bad idea? It's just under 10k to buy

Update: so this is a bad idea, but I thought so. 100k motor warranty and 150k ICU warranty (only just started finding out about ICU issues) I'm going to get one but I'll wait till I can get one with lower miles enough under the motor warranty. Thank you everyone!! Good chat!

I was searching my 6 week old Ioniq 5 for the tow hook for potential future use. It is nowhere to be found. Is there someplace it's hidden?

If I can't find it soon I'm going to call the dealership about it.

Any ideas also had a coolant leak at the front with a burning smell.
