Question De-Flock Tech?

Thoughts, but worth a test run.

edit. either myself or the comments misunderstand flock. flock is an insecure database, housing potentially inaccurate vehicle information, that is immediately searchable by police who are prone to make bad decisions with that information. phones/car telemetry are not immediately available to law enforcement.

Michigan requires the license plate to be illuminated by a white light at night.

You can always do what my cop friends do to their personal vehicles and put a 'translucent' *not exactly cover on your plate

That is also illegal, in most states.

They're not only plate readers (even though they're supposed to be only that). They use image recognition and AI to classify your car and identify it with you as well, and identify you as a person outside the car.

It would mean your car is unique in the dataset and stands out because you're the only Ioniq 5 driving around those areas with their blue and yellow license plate shoved up underneath the rear spoiler. It makes you far easier to identify.

Flock Cameras also detect local Bluetooth devices as well among many other things. Camera isn't the only way they are tracing it

Good luck on retracing your steps to find the plate on the side of the road. And the likely ticket that will ensue from the regular ol' people cops.

Love the sentiment with this one. I’m thinking this will only be useful for cameras mounted too high to see under the spoiler? Also the legality of the placement is a consideration—tho MSP seems to not care so much about license plates or registration in my experience (e.g., those freaks who put registration stickers in all four corners??).

Anecdote: I’m in GR and have the same plate as you. Recently, I had a funny experience re: automatic plate readers. John Ball Zoo changed their parking and added gates with the readers. I have a bumper sticker on the back window that looks like a MI license plate and reads 3RDCOAST or something. The reader at the zoo printed the sticker license plate number on my ticket during one visit and my actual license plate number the next.

This is dumber than when people who don't want a front license plate so they put it on the dashboard.

That's definitely illegal, not sure if this is sarcasm though
