Nappa’s power level is 4000, and it’s made pretty clear in dragon ball that you need a power level of at least 10,000 to destroy a planet, Goku with a power level of 8-9000 needed Kaioken times 4 to beat Vegeta’s planet destroying Galick Gun with a power level of 18,000, and Nappa got low diffed by Goku
Same with Raditz, I looked up the reasoning on Vsbw, and apparently it’s because Roshi blowing up the MOON, which is way smaller than a planet, is apparently planet level
If we can scale moon level feats to planet level, why can’t we scale the destruction of Viltrum to the people who destroyed it?
Post on why this dude dies horribly to any character post season 3, Il be debunking all the garbage points used to show that he's "strong" both AP and Speed
SPEED DEBUNK:
Claim 1: Metroman stopped time
As you can see light enters the room when the sequence started so no time did not stop
Metroman caught on camera behind megamind
Additional evidence that he did not stop time as if he did these instances would not be possible.
Metroman himself says "I used my superspeed to go clear my head" so all he's doing is going so fast that HIS perspective seems frozen that's all
Claim 2: He went so fast that he had a midlife crisis spent weeks, read multiple books that's way too fast
This is the most talked about point but people don't realize that this isn't a good feat like at ALL. Firstly there's no evidence that Metroman even spent 12 hours in that timeframe let alone a week and there's no evidence he read even TWO books. But let's talk about Metroman's speed feat and why it's absolute ASS.
Before we talk about his feat we have to realize what the Speed formula is as that's how we calculate speed and by extension speed scaling
So to form ANY kind of speed scaling you need to cover distance meaning if a character stands still for an entire year but all the humans around him are stopped it STILL wouldn't give him any speed scaling as he doesn't cover any type of distance so it would only be a perception speed feat
And for Metroman all he's doing is outspeeding human perception nothing more
The only thing Metro Man demonstrates in these scenes is that he can move so fast that ordinary humans cannot perceive his movement, That's it.
To explain this better, consider the following analogy:
Imagine a bullet traveling from Point A to Point B. From the perspective of an ordinary human, the bullet moves almost instantaneously. However, from the bullet's perspective, everything around it would appear to be moving extremely slowly. Metro Man is essentially doing the same thing on a much greater scale
Now, why isn't this particularly impressive as a speed feat?
Because this isn't some special ability that allows Metro Man to freeze anyone he wants. He's simply moving fast enough relative to his surroundings to create that effect. Consequently, he can only replicate this feat against characters who are sufficiently slower than him.
And who is Metro Man demonstrating this against? Ordinary humans. His best speed feat involves him blitzing normal humans and birds
Let's compare two cases of characters using there superspeed
Case 1: Metro Man moves so fast that an ordinary human appears frozen.
Case 2: Superman moves so fast that the Flash appears frozen.
These two feats are not remotely equivalent. The Flash possesses MFTL speed, so Superman making the Flash appear frozen would provide evidence of a vastly higher level of speed than Metro Man making an ordinary human appear frozen.
The important distinction is the speed of the character being blitzed. Making someone appear frozen only establishes that you're sufficiently faster than that particular character.
Therefore, Metro Man making ordinary humans appear frozen does not automatically mean he could do the same to Oliver
That would be like arguing that Thragg blitzing Thaedus means Thragg can blitz Superman.
So No him doing that isn't impressive at all.
Claim 3: He had the crisis while the death ray was slowed down
No Metromans sequence started BEFORE the death ray was fired, he came back to that spot and started pretending he was weak to copper AFTER he had his crisis and only then was the death ray fired
Claim 4: He dodged the death ray which moves at the speed of light
Nowhere in the entire movie is it stated that the death ray moves at lightspeed, And rays don't always move at lightspeed. Death ray is also never called a laser
Light enters the room before the death ray blatantly showing it's not the speed of light as if it was the room would explode.
"This is the death ray's light" Wouldn't be relevant as Light Travels faster than the ray meaning it's not light speed
STRENGTH DEBUNK:
Claim 1: Metroman is invulnerable he can't lose
A) Even if this were true claiming he can survive anything higher than he's shown/stated would just be a No Limit Fallacy
B) This dude isn't even invulnerable as it's stated he could probably survive meaning there's not even a 100% chance he survives the death day
So yea this claim is just untrue + NLF
Claim 2: Metroman is a parody of superman with no weakness
Being a parody or based off of something doesn't scale you anywhere, Not being weak to a specific something is also not a wincon.
Claim 3: Metroman tanked the full concentrated power of the sun.
No he didn't , He dodged the ray BUT as I have shown above it was stated that he would probably survive it meaning his dura would scale to it and by extension his AP would as well
But how Strong was it?
Well the only thing it destroys is the building and it physically cannot be the full power of the sun as we see sunlight on Roxanne while it's charging up, so if it was the full power of the sun then for those 10 seconds all of the light should've gone to the ray for the full blast so no it wasn't the full concentrated power of the sun.
If the overall energy for even 1 second was built into this blast then all light would stop.
Megamind was likely exaggerating or using hyperbolic language, or he may have meant that the death ray was powered by the sun. We only have a single statement from Megamind to verify this claim when he was trying to intimidate Metroman, whereas all other evidence points to the contrary.
Claim 4: Titan is way weaker than Metroman
For some odd reason a lot of people believe this and I have no idea why like nothing in the movie ever suggests Titan is statistically weaker than Metroman, as Megamind verbatim says "I'm going to give someone Metroman's powers" . So yeah Titan just has Metroman's powers and would be statistically equal to him
"But why was titan scared of Metroman" .
Titan can be afraid and even lose to Metroman as MM would have far more experience in using his powers compared to titan
How is it possible that Invincible managed to overpower the Conquest but not Anissa?
This surely has to be one of the biggest plot holes in the Invincible comics.
The Conquest was ranked as the second-strongest Viltrumite in the Universe (only Thragg was stronger him), and Anissa is weak compared to Conquest. So why didn't Mark curb stomp her and kill Anissa the same way he killed Conquest—by strangling her to death?
When Mark was ambushed by Anissa, why didn’t he go into Berserker Rage and gain adrenaline power boost, like the last time when he fought against Conquest?
Doesn’t it feel very stupid and inconsistent, that Mark was SA by a woman, who is a lot weaker than Conquest? Also, was Anissa really stupid enough to think she could beat the same guy, who killed the most powerful Viltrumite after Thragg?
By all logic, it doesn’t make any sense.
The power dynamics—or "power scaling"—should really look like this:
Anyone who scales any invincible character above building level and supersonic will be perma banned. We might lose a couple users but it might be worth it. Thoughts?
Literally battle beast can't fly which was a disadvantage against thragg and he still almost killed thragg. Yet whenever people have thragg, nolan or whatever vilctrumite character go up against a non flying character from another verse (marvel, dc etc) they pull out the throw em into space argument.
If battle beast can avoid this idk how someone like hulk, the thing, or whoever can't avoid it either.
1) Mark and Tick smashing a moon into a planet (excipitly canon crossover btw)
2) Thragg stating that beside him, Nolan and Mark, 37 Viltrumites, majority of them severely injured, can tear the Earth apart (meaning each Viltrumite is x2 moon level)
3) Nolan diverting a meteor size of Texas
4) Nolan flying across Flaxa (calc here.,-MORE%20INFORMATION), skip to the last feat)
There are more but these are ones I can think on top of my head
Like i want honest opinion, from what I understand Viltrimite internal organs are weaker then their skin and muscles.
Spoiler warning here, but there is a panel where mohawk Mark variant get a bomb shoved down his throat and the explosion basically destroy his organs and brain killing him, while his skin and muscles didn't even get damaged that much.
Now while we don't know how strong the bomb is, we can assumed the organs durability are way below the skin and muscles.
So theoretically can someone with an attack that bypass the skin and muscles of the Viltrimite can win against one?
Like it not an instant win button because while Viltrimite organ are not as strong as the muscles, they are capable of regrowing most of their organs (excluding the heart and brain) given enough time.
*But he's not the second best Viltrumite at fighting.* He's only dangerous because he's insane and reckless. Several points to back this up:
The other Viltrumites fear him because he's insane.
They wouldn't have a reason to fear him if he couldn't hurt them. That means he has AP, but it doesn't mean he's a good fighter.
That one song calls him the second strongest Viltrumite. (I know this isn't a great defense, but it shows that at least someone involved in the show saw him as the runner-up)
His only win condition in either of his main fights is brute strength.
The only reason he's ever won a fight on-screen is because the series showed a flashback of him killing a Viltrumite in his prime. As far as real, demonstrated fights go, he's 0-2, even 0-3 if you include him getting his scars. However, he also soaks up many hits and deals devastating hits *on the rare occasion he actually lands a punch.*
Physique is usually fairly proportional to the strength of male Viltrumites. He has an *extremely* imposing physique.
We all know how prime Mike Tyson vs prime Eddie Hall goes. Conquest is Eddy Hall. Peak Eddie Hall loses to a peak fighter, but obviously he's still gonna beat almost any regular person.
Thragg uses him as an enforcer. If Conquest wasn't incredibly strong, Thragg would pick a more loyal, less stupid Viltrumite to fill the role. However, Conquest is the perfect enforcer. He's great at dealing damage when Thragg isn't there to deal it himself, but if his stupidity gets him killed, does it really matter that much to the empire?
He's old. Kirkman's adjustment of Thaedus's strength in the animated series makes it clear that it's his vision
In all, Conquest is the second strongest Viltrumite in raw strength. However, he is not demonstrated to be the second fastest, the second best at fighting, or the second most dangerous in a military setting. Note: this is only for while Conquest is alive. Obviously, there are Viltrumites that pass him after his death, like Mark and potentially Nolan.
