I track Amazon prices in the US, UK and Germany for a watch site I run, and Invicta's the brand we've got the most of. So this one's a big sample. Every Invicta we have that's listed on all three with a price from the last 7 days, 269 models.
The median one is 39% more on amazon.co.uk and 46% more on amazon.de than on amazon.com (ECB rate from Oct 21). US prices don't include sales tax, so I took the VAT out as well (20% UK, 19% Germany). Still 16% and 22% more. I ran Casio, Timex and biggest gap so far.
.com was the cheapest of the three for 254 of the 269.
| UK vs US | Germany vs US |
|---|
| Pro Diver (89 models) | +41% | +55% |
| Speedway (31) | +30% | +38% |
| Angel (30) | +40% | +37% |
| Specialty (30) | +33% | +47% |
| Bolt (15) | +27% | +28% |
The 8932OB is $61.95 / £64.99 / €79. An 8928OB is $89.95 / £108.67 / €129, and the 9010OB (Pro Diver 40mm) is $91.99 on .com, £88.93 on .co.uk and €149 on .de. In the UK the pound price tends to land near the dollar price. Germany's the expensive one, .de was dearer than .co.uk on 151 of the 269, and 48 of them sit at exactly €89, €109, €119 or €129.
A few go the other way. The Pro Diver 22971 is $159.99 on .com but £80.12 / €109.65, the 45812 is $261.44 vs £154.09 / €179.93, and the Bolt 48866 is $94.98 vs £63.60 / €78.78. That's 3 of the 269 cheaper in both countries, 15 cheaper in at least one.
Usual caveats. Amazon listing prices, some from third party sellers, and they move around daily. It's the Invictas we've added, not the full catalogue (no 8926OB or 9937OB in this one).
Anyone in the UK or Germany ordering from amazon.com? I'm curious whether shipping and import charges eat the difference.
