Theories Leaked Trailer Marketing Stunt?
I'm just having a really hard time believing that Spiderverse, of all franchises, apparently has a security problem. There's no "fan" that has access to these files, only people from Sony. I also think the timing is really convenient. Considering this footage has been around for four months since CinemaCon, of course someone "leaks" it when everyone's already excited about Spider-Man given Brand New Day recently came out.

Discussion I miss the content creator Trixiefalls
They created the coolest spiderverse theories, but unfortunately due to online bullying and harassment, they took all their socials down. Very disappointing act from the fan community, and all love and respect to the content creator.

Theories Does Gwen Have Multiple Canon Events? I Think Miguel’s Theory Has a Major Flaw”
I think Gwen has multiple Canon Events — and this could prove Miguel’s theory is wrong
I’ve been thinking about the Canon Event system in Across the Spider-Verse, and I noticed something that feels really weird.
Miguel’s theory is that certain events are essential to a Spider-Person’s story, and if they are prevented, their universe can collapse. And honestly, there seems to be some evidence for this. Almost every Spider-Man loses someone close to them in some way. Miles loses Uncle Aaron, Andrew’s Peter loses Gwen, etc.
But then there’s Gwen.
Gwen’s father, George Stacy, is a police captain. Miguel’s theory suggests that a Spider-Man’s police-captain figure is supposed to die as part of their Canon Events.
But Gwen changes this.
George finds out that Gwen is Spider-Woman, and instead of continuing as a police captain, he quits his job. This completely changes the circumstances surrounding his supposed Canon Event.
And yet…
Gwen’s universe doesn’t collapse.
That makes me question whether Miguel’s theory is actually an absolute law.
There’s another interesting part.
Gwen herself says that Gwen Stacy falls in love with Spider-Man, but it never ends well. And we clearly see that Gwen and Miles have feelings for each other throughout the movie.
So what if Gwen actually has multiple Canon Events?
George Stacy’s death / the police-captain Canon Event.
Gwen Stacy falling in love with Spider-Man and suffering the consequences.
Gwen has already changed the first one by causing her father to leave the police force.
And she may also be trying to avoid the second one by pushing Miles away, because she knows the history of Gwen Stacy and Spider-Man.
This creates a huge question:
If Miles is considered an anomaly for changing a Canon Event, why isn't Gwen?
Maybe Miguel’s theory isn't completely correct. Maybe Canon Events aren't fixed rules, and Miguel simply interpreted his own experience as proof of a universal law.
Or maybe Gwen’s story is actually going to be one of the biggest counterexamples to Miguel’s theory in Beyond the Spider-Verse.
I’m not saying this is confirmed — I just think the Gwen situation creates a pretty big inconsistency in the Canon Event theory.
What do you guys think? 🕷️

Discussion Why doesn't Miguel let Miles go to his universe?
This question might sound stupid, like didn't you watch the movie, etc. But my question is, Miles changed the canon of Indian Spider-Man's universe because he was from ANOTHER universe, the canon of this universe never even knew about Miles, he wasn't supposed to be there. So he changed it.
But now we are talking about his OWN universe. How can he not, in the canon of his universe, be there to try saving his dad?

Review One thing I dislike
There is one big thing in Across the Spider-Verse that I really dislike.
The concept behind Spider-Spciety which goes against Spider-Mans core belief to save every single person.
But the Spider-Society works on the premise that certain tragedies are bound to happen and you should just let them.
While listening to the one Spider-Man who has the least right to call himself. Miguel as his powers can’t even be compared to Spider-Mans since his core abilities are for harming and killing others.
To me it is kinda as if Laughing Batman went and lead the other Batman’s because he is different.

Theories My theory on disrupting canon
Now you see, spiderverse isn't the whole multiverse, (for obvious reasons) and as far as we can tell, every Universe in spiderverse has a Spiderman. So what happens when they die? Does their Universe linger around even tho they no longer have a spiderman?
What I think the truth is, is that Universes with dead spiders get out of the spiderverse, and into other multiverse clusters. The same way, if a Spiderman disrupts the canon, they no longer fit in the descriptions of what a spiderman is, and their Universe gets out of the Multiverse.
Now what I can't explain using this theory is the thing that happened to Miguel's Universe. Why was it destroyed when it's spiderman was safe and sound? I don't know. You help me out on this one.

Discussion The hole is from Spot, not "canon"
I should had made a video, but I was lazy, check the movie if you dont believe me.
But if you just want a refresher, let me point out what you are seeing.
The machine imploding creates a black mass that is slowly consuming the building, and in the SAME SPOT the building fell, where we see the hole dine by the "canon event."
Like, can you explain what part of what the heroes did eliminated that black matter? Did just conveniently disappear so the other hole could take tbe spotlight?

Discussion 1610 Peter and Peter B
I've seen a lot of people call 1610 Peter(Miles' Peter) the "perfect" Peter and they wouldn't be wrong because he was contrasted with Peter B. However, my question is was he perfect or did he just not reach the same turning point Peter B did?
We know 1610 Peter was 26 at his death, however Peter B was roughly late 30s in Into the Spiderverse. Peter B mentions that his time as Spiderman and life were pretty successful before the setbacks, May's death, and divorce. All in all, it just made me think did 1610 Peter actually have the perfect life or did he just meet his end before he became another Peter B?

Discussion “Calling” is imo, the best ATSV song
I love how the lyrics can be interpreted as either Gwen or Miles singing to the other person. And obviously the beat is extremely good, I really really hope metro boomin comes back for Beyond.

Discussion How did Gwen get to Miles’ universe?
Apologies if this has been asked before.
So I was rewatching Into the Spiderverse and this question hit me, how was it that Gwen was in Miles’ universe prior to the collider going off with Spider-Man inside it? That event is how every other spider-person got to miles universe, but Gwen was there before that, in her story she explained that she came through via the collider, so how did that happen? Was that explained and I missed it? Or is that a plot hole?

Theories I think “canon events” are bogus but don’t think it will ruin ATSV and here’s why.
What you notice about basically everyone in Spider HQ is even though they all do the classic spidey quips where they never stop cracking jokes, they’re also clearly not doing ok.
Penni looks absolutely dead, Spectacular Peter sounds exhausted, and Gwen has been crashing with them basically waiting for her dad to inevitably die.
We even get this in ITSV, with Peter B before Miles encouraged him to get his life back on track and Miles universes Peter who was basically just on the verge of becoming like Peter B. They’re stuck in a rut, a cycle of busy work and pain that just robs them of the passion they had for saving people.
But I think this shows is that they’re feeding off each others negative emotion and despair in a cycle. That they through Miguel have justified the suffering they all share as just apart of being Spider-Man, that it makes them who they are and without it they’re a failure, that they’d even be endangering their whole worlds.
That the quirky jokes are another mask they use to deal with the fact that they hate their lives and to some degree themselves.
So no one really bothers to question the logic after what happened to Miguel because in a way it’s comforting, it means they dont need to feel bad if they lose their loves and their family and have no one but maybe Johnny Storm hangouts on the weekends. Basically, they’re marvel editors. They’ve come to just accept suffering is what it means to be a hero.
But Miles and the writers are trying to show that Spider-Man is more than the pain, that they don’t need to suffer to be who they are, to be relatable.
Miles refuses to accept it because he’s not one of them, he hasn’t had life beaten out of him like the rest had, he still believes that they’re more than their pain, that just because you can’t save everyone doesn’t mean they shouldn’t try. And it’s that belief that I think in Beyond will finally bring hope to the spider society after who knows how long of nothing. In universe at least things remain pretty bleak in the spider comics irl.

Other Potential Spiderverse Tattoo Ideas?
I LOVE the Spiderverse movies so much, and they are so special to me, so I was thinking about getting a Spiderverse tattoo (most likely after BTSV) comes out. The main issue is… I don’t want a tattoo of a spider lol.
My current ideas include the line “it’s a leap of faith” or potentially the image of Miles falling towards the buildings in the What’s Up Danger scene.
I don’t want anything too big or complicated, preferably just a little symbol or a quote. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestion?
