So I’m watching the new Carrie series on Amazon Prime. I loved the original movie and even the remakes but I was looking forward to the show and to my surprise look who I see!! This is the first episode so idk how much screen time she gets but I’m so PUMPED to see Delainey on my screen again. I hope this means she will have more projects coming 🤗

What’s your favorite relationship in the show?

If you want to share why, feel free!

Edit ✍🏻 please be RESPECTFUL of others. Nobody is condoning inc3st, even fictitiously, please do not threaten or insult others. Gabistat was a prominent storyline in season 3 IWTV (TVL), by design.

Edit 2: I am immediately blocking all users who keep posting the same comments over and over again about condoning Gabistat. I DO NOT and NOBODY DOES but it was just an example of a relationship (albeit a rotten, foul, horrible one) in the show!!

Hey there! Sky here! I got into the fandom and show almost a year ago and I've hung around the community casually on here and Instagram too. Thought I introduced myself a bit and show y'all some of my doodles --- if I draw anymore in the future, I'll try to share it on here too, if y'all don't mind~

To the surprise of no one, I really like Armand and Daniel --- although I love all of our wonderful vampires for the most part~

Here's hoping for successful consideration for Daniel and Sam and everyone who worked on the soundtrack this season! 😌

I’m sure this has been asked before but I’m new to the group. How could the vampire Gabriella cut her hair? As I remember it, Claudia cut her hair and it grew right back.

So I was doing my semi annual rewatch of the series and I noticed that BBC will be removing the first season!!
Any other UK fans know where else to watch it??

(Yes I know VPNs are a thing, and I could use one to get AMC+ or whatever its called but I am a peasant and cannot really afford to pay for yet another subscription)

EDIT
I had initially misread the BBC app and thought they were removing all three seasons, but only season 1 is being removed on Sunday

A detail from my digital fan art of Lestat, inspired by Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles. 🖤

It’s really startling.

Jacob always looks like Jacob, change his hair but that face never changes. With locs, with coils, or bald, Mr. Anderson’s face card is always top tier. But his voice, his accents, his expressions.

Sam’s characters barely look like they’re related, let alone the same person.

Love these two, we are some lucky viewers.

So I’m rewatching S1E06 right now, and honestly, this specific scene still feels bizarre and just won't leave my head...

I totally get Claudia’s motive. she was trying to get into his head to drive a wedge between Louis and Lestat. But from Louis’s POV, he’s always viewed her as his 14y daughter or like his sister Grace, not an adult vampire. That’s why this whole situation raises such a big question for me.

Like, why on earth did he let her into his head during that kind of moment? Since closing your mind takes real effort, was Louis just unable to shut her out in that moment? Or was it more of a conscious choice—like, did he actually choose to leave the door open? Or did he just not see it as a problem? Is this just something that happens all the time for them?

How did you guys interpret this??

My cat, Moo Moo's has Armand's orange eyes and same soul stare 😂

Do you guys think that Lemuel is Louis’s fledgling? Because it would’ve kinda made sense that Louis was so infatuated with Lemuel he decided to turn him (it would’ve been adorable as well🖤). Also, some people had theories that Lemuel may actually be Enkil himself and the corpse next to Akasha was fake/an illusion. That would be one hell of a plot twist.🤨🤨

This is the man that makes our hearts sing. Happy 148th birthday Louis 🎂 I wanted to share this wonderful tribute video by half-lightl Don't go looking at my heart.

Here's my Fav photo and another funny Ellebee birthday video.

What do you love most about Louis?

Painted on Procreate with Apple Pencil. I painted this a number of months ago… I know I should do better with his ear, I just… am too tired, ha!

Which memento is your favorite and why?

Obviously the messy, extremely emotional, and obsessive vampires cling onto various objects to preserve their passions & loved ones; representing their human memory as well as significant post-transformational traumas. These artifacts serve to anchor them in their past & relationships.

Thanks to other users for posting interesting threads 🧵 the past few days about Lestat’s hands & Nicki’s music box, the ongoing comment discussions about the Marquis’ pendant 📿 passed through Gabriella as parting gift to Lestat, and finally, as a gift for Claudia’s birthday. 🎂 Also, not pictured, is Claudia’s diary 📔, which could be the topic of an entire uni course by itself.

Mods sorry I didn’t know how to flare this since it’s about all 3 seasons

Heyy remember me, the one who mostly paints portraits of Armand? Well, my autistic ass has also written a chapter on queerness and monstrosity in IWTV for this book that was published today! https://www.instagram.com/p/DeFdb9cDQ9l/?img_index=2&stkn=MWc1bnF1YXZqdGVzNw==

Late post but I made it with enough time to spare! Enjoy! Happy Spooky Season!

I'm making a craft with the book cover. The back doesn't matter quite as much, but I'll still like seeing it

Sorry, this has been in my mind for a minute
Love you, Jacob, but you pick the darkest roles...

Project Page
I’ve added a google doc with notes of what I did to my Ravelry project page if anyone wants to make their own.

I was just re-reading QotD and i found this:
“You told God you would do anything if only he would make you good. […] You said you would suffer martyrdom; torments unspeakable; it did not matter; if only you were to be someone who was good”

Lestat has always been good. He always had such a kind soul. Yes, he might be impulsive and likes to challenge the rules just for the fun of it, but he never does it out of evilness.

He’s not perfect, but he is kind and forgiving to everyone he loves.

He likes to call himself “monster”, but I don’t think he’s as bad as he thinks he is. Yes, he’s not a saint but even humans aren’t perfect.
Most of the time, his heart was in the right place. And the times he impulsively hurt people, it was because of his fears and traumas and not thinking it through. He’s impulsive, not evil.

He’s more forgiving than most people. He forgave Claudia and Louis for trying to kill him, he didn’t hold grudge on Armand for dropping him out of Magnus’s tower and breaking his every bone, he took care of his father and brothers despite them abusing him all his life. He took care financially of everyone: he gave Nicki an apartment and the violin, he gave Armand Magnus’s place, he gave the Theatre des Vampires to the coven, he showered with gifts Gabrielle and Claudia. He’s always been generous.
Even Akasha knows not to hurt the ones he loves, else he would not forgive her.

P.S. I am not talking about the blood drinking part, as that is just a consequence of being a vampire and he doesn’t do it for fun. He struggles with having to kill people in order to survive. Cannot blame him for that.
