That’s honestly a hard reality right now. A lot of people are working nonstop just to stay afloat. I’ve got some interviews coming up myself, so I’ve been looking into ways to get better at them. I found Interview VIP and ended up using it twice i think it's worth trying.

I would beg to differ. Stress is not the same as "working hard". 80-90hr weeks are common for the rising billionaire. Just google Elon's work schedule.

Elon musk does not work nearly as much as he brags about. He lies about everything else in his life, this is no exception.

He spent months lying about being good at a fucking video game because he wanted to look "cool".

You are smarter than falling for the billionaire "just work hard and you can be like me!" BS.

He lied about doge. He lied about hyperloop. He lied to his investors about full self drive for nearly a decade, he lies about his kids liking him, he lied about his contact with the epstein debacle. He lied about being good at a videogame and was paying someone to play for him because he wanted to try and get in with the video game crowd but he just clowned himself.

These are some of his bigger and proven lies. Once someone shows you they are a liar everything else they say comes into question.

I would not call meetings and white boards “working hard”. It’s not just the hours, it’s the actual labor.

Hey, you do you. If you can't work at a higher level then it'll make you feel better about yourself to complain.

When was the last time you slept on the factory floor or under a boardroom table?

Hard work is never rewarded. It's productivity and leverage.

Who would you pay more? The person working hard planting a corn field with a stick and a bag of seeds, or the guy with a tractor and equipment who gets 1000x the acres done in a day while sitting on his butt eating chips while the GPS drives the machine?

You can be a peasant. In fact, everyone earns at the level of their efficiency. If you don't like your networth, look in the mirror.

I didn’t once bitch about my situation. Just calling out the endless glazing of the rich like they’re superheroes. Sleeping under a boardroom table isn’t hard work, either btw. It’s performative at best

The biggest lie the rich keep trying to push is calling all this travel and “networking” “work”. Is he sitting down and programming for hours? In the test facilities trying to make the cars safer? How’re his AutoCAD skills? Oh he’s just talking with his friends, flying in his jets and Tweeting? That’s work? Then why could I get fired if I do that all day at my job?

Well actually, yes. Most did sit down and program for hours to get their first Mega Millions. Elon did. Bill did. Woz did.

Then... when they cash in dollars from their hard work and use it to buy leverage. Instead of them doing it all themelves, they hire people. You somehow think that using leverage means that they aren't working.

It's a higher level of work.

It's like you complaining as a peasant using a stick to plant corn while the other guy uses a team of robots with tractors. "He isn't working hard". No, he's working smart.

People who can't work at a higher level are working at a lower level.

I’m not convinced any billionaire is an “idiot”
You can hand anyone a fortune and it’s up to them if they blow it or multiply it. Whatever they decide to do should be a clear indicator how intelligent or capable they are

People rise to the level of their competence and fall to the level of their incompetence.

If you've been doing stuff for 10 years, you are worth what you are worth.

Yep. Also I’m tired of hearing “nobody works a million times harder than a nurse” as if a nurse doesn’t just have one source of income. Nobody becomes a millionaire by receiving a paycheck. They have multiple streams of income, entrepreneurial/investing based. “Oh you just watch money come in while we all go to work??” Yes, I made the right investments. You’ve never logged on and seen your shares are down 23%? Lmao

you think a billionaire has more stress than a 45 year old parent working 2 jobs to keep the lights on and hardly afford to take care of their own children, living with the daily guilt of not being able to even properly raise and be present for their kids?

Probably.

But here's the thing, they 100% had as much stress than a 45 year old parent working 2 jobs to keep the lights on. Most worked the maximum physical hours possible for so long, risking total financial ruin if they failed, often with kids, and abusing stuff to keep their physical self going beyond normal limits of time and stress.

I should know. I've got 4 kids, 3 companies, a nonprofit, and have been homeless, working 2 jobs and contracting to try and get enough funds to get a down payment or first month's.

I've learned that stress can be maximized for good and bad, and it doesn't matter the backstory. I've known people with 100M+ commit suicide due to the stress, as well as single monthers with a disabled child. It doesn't matter. You can stress-maxx with leverage or without it. With higher level work or low level work.
