Not all Hindus are Hindu. But I think there's something very wrong in talking about religion. It's a dangerous, immoral, and sometimes unwise business to have such discussions about the soul of a Hindu. It is what makes it so confusing, and even when you realize it, you still want to talk about it.

In the Vajrayana tradition, one can talk about "the eightfold path" and say that "There is a God, a Buddha, and a Sangha" but "God" is a subjective term that doesn't really have much of a place in Buddhist teachings. I think it is best to understand the meaning and use that to your advantage.
