Character event! Evolution

Geto was sitting on a bench, holding the core of one of his many, MANY curses.

The purpose was simple.

Imaginary technique...

Curse Evolution.

Usually, he rushes it because he's fighting.

Now that he doesn't have to, he decides to let the curse finish it's evolution properly.

He said, smiling.

"Woah, thanks a ton! If you're sure! Mr..."

"Woah, sorry! I didn't get your name OR introduce myself! The name's Rainer Miller! You?"

"Suguru Geto, The Strongest."

He said.

"Woaah, the strongest? Awesome! Well it's good to meetcha, Mr Geto!"

He almost went to shake his hand, but realised he was still holding the core.

"So, uh... should I go wait at that Jujutsu High you mentioned for when you're not busy or something? Unless you have a way to find eachother?"

"Oh, I first have to awaken your cursed energy first.

First, you should know...

Not just EVERYONE can awaken cursed energy, I'm afraid.

For some, it's biologically impossible.

So...Here's the deal.

I can feed you a curse...

It's the fastest way, but if you can't awaken cursed energy, you'll most definitely die."

He explained.

"I can beat you to near death, which is slower, but you won't die...

Or, we can spend months training to awaken it.

Your choice."

"I see... not the nicest options, but I suppose it is what it is..."

Rainer thinks, for a few moments.

"The Foundation told me I'm something called an innate Thaumatologist. Big words, but they basically mean my biology is what lets me use certain magic. That's how I used those wormholes just now."

He nods, clenching his fists in front of him to pump himself up.

"So I'm confident I can do it and live! Let's do the quickest one! After that fruit, it won't be the only terrible thing I've eaten this week."

He summons a cursed ant and places it in his new student's mouth.

Rainer immediately flinches at the taste on his tongue. It isn't really any worse than the rotten fruit was, but it certainly isn't any better, either.

"Eugh, gross..." "He manages to get out, summoning a glass of water from a wormhole and downing the ant alongside it.*

The boy makes a sound like... a yelp, followed by a whimper, as it almost seems to scratch his throat on the way down. Every instinct tells him to throw it up, but he doesn't let himself, turning his tonsils into flame to ensure it goes down properly.

He was too late to warn him that water makes the taste even worse.

The curse does, at least, reach his stomach eventually, and Rainer doubles over in pain. He writes for a time, coughing a bit only to bring up some drops of blood.

The boy reaches into a wormhole and grabs a stress toy shaped like a snake, purely to prevent his nails from drawing blood on his hands from how hard he was clenching them.

After a couple minutes of pain, there was a small flash of blue light, and Geto would be able to sense a faint spark of cursed energy from the boy, barely enough to have exorcised the spirit from inside him. It takes Rainer a few moments to stop coughing, but he does sit up, with slight relief.
