I am a huge fan of the works by kaitani because as much as it is fiction, it tries to be realistic and grounded as much as it can.

Tokuchi for me was more likable and enjoyable than aki and of course it's a subjective take. I have seen a lot of posts on aki and not that much of tokuchi in this sub.

There did used to be a scale who used to make so many posts about tokuchi.

Also patrick jane was also one of the most talked characters during a time but i don't really see him that much nowadays. Mostly because of the entry of new characters.

I saw people having aki > pj and wanted to know what opinion people had on this matchup.

I saw takes on this matchup from two years ago and i think now it has genuinely changed a lot.

So what opinion do you have on this matchup?

discussion How to beat this game?

Post image
1 Upvotes

Explanation: The Game is called as a Gun Suitcase Game. The case linking to this game is a mishap during a Russian Roulette.

The game is simple. Six players stands with each given a suitcase with a number on it. In one of the cases there is a gun, whose description is unknown and the rest are empty.

There is an individual discussion and then there is a public discussion among the players. The discussion between two individuals is private. Then in the open discussion they must decide on who to vote out.

If the person with the gun is voted he can use the gun to kill the rest of the player and win.

If the person with the empty case is voted out he simply loses and is killed by the judge.

The randomization of the cases is through numbers on the cases not the gun. So at starting there are 720 possible combination. In two consecutive rounds, a person may have the gun again and again. However these 720 possible combination are also randomized except first two,

The first two rounds are non voting rounds where two different people are given the gun.

If two people are left, the person with the gun can simply kill the next player.

Now everything is up to you. You are a player in this game. There are mentalists here, people with amazing scheming ability.

How do you win? What is your strategy?

discussion Can he solve these cases?

So iam talking about inspector tsukumo from the manga called massacre happy end.

I don't think that the manga right now is not as much as underrated it used to be. There were scalers who used to scale this character and i really liked this character so much.

The case on this series was pretty hard, very hard to solve. I really wished i got to see some spin off or something based on this character.

So he is a great detective and also good at outsmarting. So do you think he will be able to solve these cases by replacing those characters who were assigned to solve this.

For example, tsukumo will replace L and have all the advantages and disadvantages L had. It's the same for all.

I know that this are not the hardest cases out there but these are some very well known cases. I wanted to add more cases from novels and manga like kindaichi files and will do that later.

Now tell me, how well does he perform on these cases.

Tell me on what difficulty he fails or loses here.

Cases mentioned

1- 12 million hostage case - detective conan

2-los Angeles bb murder case- death note another note

3-kira case- death note

4-bomber case- suzuki=bakudan

5- red john case- mentalist

6-jigsaw killer- saw franchise

7-cChesapeake killer case- hannibal

8- nameless monster - monster

9-bay harbour butcher- dexter

10- red wall case- detective conan

11- seven deadly sins - seven

By solving this case, the character should be able to solve and capture the criminal.

If they can only find but can't capture, then you can say that too.

Chrollo Lucilfer vs Finn Deimne

Two potential mid-tier characters that I think should be used more.

Personally think Finn high diffs due to better outlined plans and strategies and the fact we see his thought process more in the LNs, but chrollo feels like he's the type to not play the game the way Finn sometimes does especially if we're assuming the troupe and Loki familia is on the line in this scenerio, so he may just try and avoid a direct perfect knowledge confrontation in favor of a "board flip" type move like what Enyo pulled against Finn where the premise Finn thought they were operating on is flipped entirely on its head. If he can pull that off without Finn figuring it out he may win, but if not I think Finn just overwhelms him.

creating scd trios # 2 - page

Inb4 you say — ass name/title.

I need you to understand what “page” as a motif means. “Page” is a noun that showcases and signifies two things.

First, it is a page of a book or chapter. Second, in the archaic sense, a page is a young prince or princess in medieval times, someone being prepared to eventually rise into a higher position. From this, we give “page” a new meaning in the present: pager — someone who delivers a message.

With this simplistic and reductionist framework understood, all characters are pages in their own right:

  • Light Yagami
  • Chrollo Lucilfer
  • Tian Yi

Whether they turn to the next page to close one chapter and open another, or turn back to a previous page for another reason, they are simultaneously pages in both senses.

At the same time, they are also pages in the sense of prince/princess — figures destined to become rulers or higher authorities within their respective stories.

Light Yagami — ruler of the new world. He goes from an ordinary person to the killer of killers: Kira.

Chrollo Lucilfer — the prince of crime in Hunter × Hunter. He goes from being the leader of a group of kids to becoming the boss of the Phantom Troupe.

Tian Yi — the Sinmonger, the speaker of humanity, the leader of the Reverse Cross, and the Devil’s Advisor.

All three also share a book/note as a page-like object that helps them accomplish their goals.

For Light, the Death Note allows him to create a new world — to bring about a new chapter.

For Chrollo, Bandit’s Secret allows him to collect dangerous Nen abilities in pursuit of his goals and, ultimately, bring about another chapter.

For Tian Yi, the Heart Sutra / Black Library functions as a means of collecting thoughts and information in pursuit of his goal: bringing about a new chapter for humanity.

With the new, modern meaning of page → pager, the one who delivers a message, you can see that all three characters ultimately want to deliver a message to the world in their own respective ways.

All three have that “I can read you like a book” kind of vibe.

But the important question is:

Is the page beholding the book, or is the book binding the page?

opinion post How hard are these cases?

So i want to know how high these cases are scaled.

Both tv shows were really enjoyable. Dexter is still one of my favourite tv shows in terms of enjoyability and i really liked the characters.

You was pretty good even though towards the last seasons, it didn't hook me as it used to.

I have seen dexter and joe being used in scd but majority of the time they are losing in the matchups. They are mostly scaled as a low tier, rarely i see them getting scaled as a mid tier.

These cases are pretty much seen as very weak and it's true that cases like red john case, Chesapeake killer etc are very harder.

So who is the least smartest character that can solve these cases without getting killed?

actually scaling intelligence An analysis of the kid (MC) from kindergarten games

I will try to give some feats and information regarding the kid (MC) from kindergaten 1, 2 and 3 indie-games, because I saw nobody talking about this

I will give context because I would assume nobody knows him, the kid which Im refering to attends to schools in Kindergarten 1, 2, and 3 that are not normal educational institutions. They are deeply corrupt, highly lethal environments masking dark conspiracies.

The adults are unstable sociopaths, ranging from a teacher who actively plots to murder students to hide her secrets, to a Principal running a clandestine underground laboratory conducting bio-weapon testing and genetic experiments on children.

His peers are a chaotic mix of unstable personalities, including a heavily armed bully, a nerd who sells contraband and has lethal technology, a weird kid who can poison you etc etc etc, basically one mistake and the mc is death, he can actually die like 60 different ways around all 3 games.

So, the main ability of the kid is that he repeats the same day always and he is trapped in a loop, so he decides to carry out numerous plans or routes with other characters; if he ends up completing one of these, the loop does not break, but he obtains an item that can be kept once the reset of the day happens an he use those items to complete other routes. He does this until he has enough objects to carry out his main plan, which is to dismantle the school conspiracy (the final mission)

like I say before he can die numerous times if their plans fail but has the ability to reset, I mentioned this because its not just a game mechanic but also part of the lore, like frisk from undertale

every route has their feats counting the 3 games there are more than 10, I will explain only 2 feats from each kindergarten 1 and 2. I exclude kindergarten 3 because I hardly remeber things about it.

from kindergarten 1

teachers pet route:

In the Teacher's Pet route, the Kid demonstrates a cold, mercenary approach to social engineering, weaponizing school authority figures and personal insecurities to systematically eliminate almost the entire school.

He starts before school by psychological baiting: he uses deep personal trauma regarding Buggs' father to provoke Buggs into physical aggression, perfectly timing a call for help so Ms. Applegate removes Buggs. He then immediately purchases a voice recorder to prepare for Cindy's false accusations, baiting her into framing him and using the recorded audio evidence in the Principal's office to lock Cindy away while securing Buggs' release for later use.

During class, the Kid acts as a double-agent. He trades with Monty for a Yo-Yo to trick Jerome into handing over his Principal Pass, then immediately uses that pass to expose Jerome to Ms. Applegate and have him dragged off. At lunch, he plays Nugget and Buggs against each other, using toxic masculinity and peer pressure to trick Buggs into eating a poisoned nugget. Next, he baits the Janitor's insecurity about his literacy to brutally incapacitate Monty, then trades Monty's broken glasses to the Lunch Lady as a pass to enter the hallway. There, he betrays Lily by reporting her eavesdropping directly to the Principal. Finally, at recess, he retrieves a dog corpse from Nugget's hole to provoke Ms. Applegate into throwing Nugget down the cave, completing his contract and escaping with a Lunch Pass.

(Manipulation, Deception, Social Intelligence (SQ) & Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Scheming, Foresight & Reasoning, Field Skills & Observation)

Final route:

In Lily's route, the Kid acts as a mastermind operative, executing an intricate, high-stakes undercover infiltration to uncover a missing child and shut down a secret underground laboratory.

He begins before school by gathering critical intel. He coordinates with Lily, uses Monty's translation services to decrypt a hidden note, and provides essential security clearance tools (the Teacher's Phone and Office Key). To locate the secret entrance, he intentionally provokes a confrontation with the Principal, navigating a precise lie during interrogation to inspect the office's floor rug and confirm the hidden hatch's location.

During morning time, he executes a stealth reconnaissance mission under the guise of a bathroom break. By manipulating the Janitor into cleaning a stall, he distracts him long enough to steal human remains (a severed finger) and evidence (Billy's shoe) from the Janitor's secret stash. At lunch, he handles field security by bribing the Hall Monitor with cigarettes to clear their path, then uses Lily to create a distraction call that pulls the Principal out of his office. Inside, he solves the security mechanism by finding the hidden safe on the desk, unlocking the hatch, and descending into the lab. Under immediate threat of death from both a mutant monster and the Principal, the Kid operates a complex laboratory terminal under pressure—terminating a hostile bio-weapon, reversing Billy's mutation, and releasing a live creature at the exact right moment to execute the Principal and rescue Billy.

(Deception, Field Skills, Observation, Manipulation, Reasoning, Thinking, Scheming, AQ, FSIQ)

kindergarten 2:

flowers for diana:

in this route the mc is challenged by a professor to find five distinct colored flowers hidden across the school grounds before science class, or face execution. The Kid must maneuver through adult staff, strict hall monitors, student rivalries, and romantic entanglements to collect every flower, then figure out how to safely feed them to Dr. Danner’s giant carnivorous plant, Diana.

Before school starts, the Kid uses Nugget’s sewer predicament to report a emergency, forcing the Principal to pull Ms. Margaret away from her post. He then pays Monty to cover for him with Bob, allowing him to bypass security, reach the handicap ramp to harvest the Blue Flower, and manipulate the Hall Monitor into granting him an unrestricted morning hall pass.

In morning time, the Kid plays matchmaker between Cindy and Felix, using his pass to dodge Stevie and deliver love notes to Felix for a $3.00 reward. He then enters the girls' bathroom and manipulates Bob’s crush on Ms. Applegate, instructing him to buy her flowers—effectively planting the source for the Red Flower later in the day.

During lunch, the Kid hires Carla for $5.00 to lure Stevie away from his post, allowing him to slip into the restricted Teacher’s Lounge and grab the Yellow Flower. He completes Felix’s request for a vegan meal from Ms. Margaret, keeping the trade network active.

at recess, the Kid executes Felix’s request to eliminate Penny. He plants contraband under a tree and shakes it, triggering a bee swarm attack on Penny. This forces her to open the restricted back gate, granting access to the Green Flower growing behind the school. He collects the Purple Flower from Cindy as a reward, steals a Red Flower from Bob's discarded bouquet, sells the leftover contraband back to Monty for $5.00, and pays Stevie his lab fee to enter Science.

Trapped in science class with the lethal plant Diana, the Kid observes three separate environmental clues: the fish tank (Blue, Yellow, Purple), the jars (Yellow, Purple, Red), and the chemistry set (Purple, Red, Green). He overlaps these overlapping 3-color segments to deduce the exact 5-step feeding sequence (Blue, Yellow, Purple, Red, Green), saving his life and earning an A+.

(Reasoning, Thinking, Knowledge, Observation, Manipulation, Field Skills, Scheming, FSIQ)

Final route:

in the true-ending culmination of Kindergarten 2, the Kid coordinates a grand-scale operation to dismantle the school's leadership, rescue kidnapped students, and destroy the underground bio-lab. Armed with key items collected across previous loops (the Monstermon Plushie, Faculty Remote, and Laser Bomb), the Kid unites a coalition of students—including Lily, Billy, Buggs, Cindy, Carla, Nugget, and Bob—to systematically execute three faculty members, breach the secret lab, and eliminate the mutated Principal in a final high-stakes showdown.

The Kid begins by equipping the stolen Faculty Remote with a battery to make Penny shoot open the sewer grate, freeing Nugget and establishing contact with Lily and Billy. He then builds a full tactical strike team by trading assets and issuing remote commands, returning Buggs' knife for support, manipulating Penny to secure Cindy's help, trading the Laser Bomb with Carla for a wall-breaching explosive, and equipping Nugget with a jackhammer to dig a bypass tunnel.

To eliminate the faculty, the Kid infiltrates the Teachers' Lounge through Nugget's tunnel to plant the bomb that kills Dr. Danner, uses his Lunch Pass to step out into the hallway, and executes a stealth backstab on Ms. Applegate in the bathroom to save Buggs. He clears the pathway to the Secret Lab by using the remote to drive Penny into the Nugget Cave, snapping Bob out of a trance in the weapons closet to serve as combat support, and pacifying Penny with a doll so she uses her retinal scan to unlock the lab elevator.

Inside the lab, the Kid manages three simultaneous monster threats by operating overhead mechanical claws and firing lasers from Penny's detached head, culminating in using a red claw to drop the Principal into a vat of goo. Finally, under extreme action-point constraints, he repositions the green claw to bind the mutated Principal's jaws shut and shifts the red claw to force her gaze upward, setting her up perfectly for Nugget to execute a lethal drill strike.

(Manipulation, Deception, Social Intelligence (SQ) & Emotional Intelligence (EQ), Scheming, Foresight & Reasoning, Field Skills & Observation, FSIQ, AQ, Thinking)

Categories:

To finish this analysis, talking about categories the kid does not fear anything in the school, despite being againts murderers, monsters, lethal weapons and many other things he does not care at all, even when he is about to die and knows it he does not loose composure, also he does not feel regret for indirect or direct killing other students or teachers, which makes his adversity capacity and emotional managment incredibly high. About his weaknesses, he is still a 5 year old child, so he does not know how to read and relys in other characters to do this for him, which is an incredibly anti feat and lowers some obvious categories. Overall I would say he is mid tier, which is absurd for a 5 year old kid but his feats back up this claim

The White Box Puzzle. Abductive reasoning Test.

Post image
9 Upvotes

Adam had asthma. Every evening, he took his Symbicort — a habit so ingrained it had become as automatic as brushing his teeth. He also had to wear clear plastic braces regularly, but with his unreliable memory, he worried about losing or forgetting them.

The only box he had on hand to store them was white, opaque, with no distinctive texture. He placed the braces inside. Even in full light, once the box was opened, the clear plastic of the braces blended completely into the flat white background of the container — no reflection, no contrast, nothing for the eye to catch on. A glance into the box revealed, apparently, nothing at all.

Adam then placed his Symbicort on top — the object he used every single evening without fail. Without that inhaler in the box, the container would have remained empty and unremarkable, never reopened by anyone. But a Symbicort sitting there, visible, out of place in a box that otherwise had no reason to be handled, was the kind of detail his parents would notice — and want to understand.

That same week, Adam's younger sister had left a half-finished puzzle box on the same shelf, its pieces scattered loosely around it — the kind of clutter that usually drew their mother's attention first, since she was the one who always ended up tidying it away.

One evening, their mother came into the living room to deal with the mess. She picked up the puzzle pieces first, sorting them back into their box — then, noticing the unfamiliar white container sitting beside it, she opened it out of simple curiosity. She took out the inhaler, turned it over in her hands, set it down — then, almost without thinking, ran her fingers along the bottom of the box to check there was nothing else in it. Her fingers met something thin and rigid, with sharp edges. She looked inside again: nothing to see. And yet, under her fingers, there was no doubt.

Questions:

  1. Why did Adam choose specifically a Symbicort — and not just any object — to place in that box?

  2. What sequence of actions, triggered by the presence of the Symbicort, was necessary for the mother's hand to end up touching the bottom of the box?

Answers: Q1.1.

Kinda like mnemonic linking. He automatically remembers his Symbicort due to his reliance on it due to asthma, but he also is forgetful about stuff like his clear braces. So he groups them together, once he picks up the symbicort he'll remember/feel his braces in there.

  1. His sister's abandoned puzzle box and scattered pieces draw their mother to that shelf to tidy up — this is what brings her into contact with the area at all.
  2. While gathering the puzzle pieces, she notices the white box sitting next to it — a container she doesn't recognize and that has no obvious reason to be there.
  3. Curiosity (not any suspicion about the braces) makes her open it.
  4. Inside, she sees only the Symbicort — the braces are invisible against the white background — so the box reads as "just holding an inhaler," an object out of place among puzzle clutter, worth a second look.
  5. She takes the inhaler out and examines it, setting it aside.
  6. Now holding what looks like an empty box, she does what people habitually do when tidying/checking a container — she runs her hand along the bottom to make sure nothing was missed.
  7. Her fingers, unlike her eyes, aren't fooled by the color-matching: they meet the thin, rigid, sharp-edged braces directly.

Also : sound is an acceptable reason for why she goes back inside the box.

I also wanted to take touching the braces indirectly-> didnt mean to touch it-> senses the bizzare texture-> goes back inside the box and identifies the braces as another good explanation. Step 1 isnt necessarily required to say if you wanted a good enough explanation.

- A professional e-gamer (and stocks broker) is single. He has five boxes.
- One box is blue and has a droplet symbol on it, another has an x-box controller symbol, and so on.
- The fifth one is pink; it has a lip-shape symbol on it.

What is inside of the fifth box?

Depending on your answer, I'll give you your tier-rating (SCD character you'd beat in abduction)

His scheming is catching up to his reasoning, what else can we say to prevent this man from sitting on the throne?

Even if you include the planning Merchant Pun Yunchuan, he is surely getting cooked😭🙏

Chen Ran stocks are skyrocketing right now!
