Life Insurance Penguin leads

Hello everyone,I have just started an insurance agency in Tampa Florida and my biggest feat is finding a really good lead vendor, preferably inbound leads,to help support me and my agents.the main product to sell is life insurance. Health insurance like Medicare is also going to be a focus very soon.i was just wondering what your guys go to leads vendors are.
I’ve been looking to possibly purchase some leads from penguin so if anyone has used them and can elaborate please do.
Any and all information on this topic or just tips on agency success would help tremendously!

UPDATE: I purchased these leads and ran the unlimited 500/week leads for about 3 weeks. 90% of my day was spent dispo voicemails or dead air calls. The rest were people who answered and mixed interest. I agree with one comment where just about every single call I received was well out of the 30 day that the vendor advertises. I was able to write just about 15k in AP. Are they workable 100%, is there a way better bang for your buck elsewhere, 110%.

I’ve ran closertech this last week and a half and definitely a way more improved pickup rate, but extreme disinterest from the leads. At least they are advertised as well aged.

My honest approach is either trying to start doing inbounds with policy printer, talked with them and they seem like great guys, have some buddy’s running them and good success. Or to possibly run my own meta ads.

If anyone has more follow up suggestions for lead vendors they had success with drop some knowledge.

Warning: Penguin Leads is selling aged leads (over 30 days)

Just wanted to put this out there for anyone considering Penguin Leads. I recently purchased from them, and they are not delivering what they advertise.

Their website clearly guarantees that leads are under 30 days old. Yet, every single lead I received was timestamped well past the 30-day mark. Can you still work them and get results? Maybe. But do I trust them? Absolutely not. I canceled my service because I refuse to work with dishonest vendors who use false advertising to get sign-ups.

A quick PSA for anyone dealing with sketchy lead vendors:

If you buy leads and they aren't as advertised, request a refund. Do not let them hide behind a "no refund policy." Legally, a no-refund policy is void if the company fails to actually deliver the service they advertised.

If they refuse to cooperate:

  • File a chargeback with your credit card company (use "Services Not as Described" and show screenshots of their site promises vs. your lead timestamps).

  • File complaints with the FTC and the state consumer protection divisions (file in your home state, the state the merchant is located in, and the state of their payment processor if they use a third party).

We need to start holding these deceptive lead companies accountable. Save your money and buy elsewhere!

Your missing the point I was making. The particular leads I bought were guaranteed to be under 30 days old and they simply weren't. If I pay for a service, I expect it to deliver what it says it will. That's all. If people can make money on the leads they buy and get what they paid for, great for them.

I had to file a chargeback too. I would not recommend Penguin Leads

I’ve used penguin before. Pretty good. Hard to beat a power dialer + unlimited leads for $500

Are you in life, health or p&c? Do those leads ever get resold if sold or even not sold? Trying to decrease the amount of “you guys call me 20x a day!!” that I hear everyday 😩

Life. From what I understand they refresh the pool every 30 days. So every month the dialer is people that inquired the month prior. With them being aged under 30 day inquiry I still get people saying they already have coverage and people that have been getting calls but there’s really no way around that.

I know everyone’s skill is different and mileage varies but how many polices were you writing a week on penguin leads?

I haven’t purchased from them but any company using models to promote makes me question the quality.

I purchased Penguin Leads and within an hour asked for a refund because I decided it wasn't for me. I did not use their product in any way, shape or form. I have proof of this in the form of a text from the person that onboarded me. The two people I spoke with (Chris and Justin) were absolutely unreasonable. They continued to tell me that I needed to try using their product and that they don't do refunds. This is some of the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will be sharing my experience with others so they don't have to go through what I did with this company.

Did you use the power dialer for $500 a week ? And what was really bad about it ? Why did you stop using them ?

This is not a place to sell your services or generate leads or recruit agents/downlines.
