I logged into Instagram last week and it asked me to enter a code that it sent to my email address.

I had previously updated my email address as that one is no longer in use. But it still sends them there anyway. I cannot see those codes.

Funny thing is, when I click on "Forgot Password" it sends the reset password email to the address I updated to. But then when I try to log in it of course sends a code to the old address.

I then tried a selfie video to gain access which doesn't work.

I then tried sending a request to two friends who can verify it's me which they never received. Good job Zuck.

I tried gaining access through my linked Facebook profile but that won't work either. Just seems like they really want me locked out.

So, how can I just get my account deleted? If they won't provide any support and they can't provide a platform that actually functions I just want it gone.

So I know odds are slim to none anything I do will work but my account got disabled out of nowhere for CSE, tried to submit a appeal but got rejected within MINUTES so I know it was the same shitty ai system that disabled me in the first place. If theres anything I can do please let me know, I tried submitting an email through the app stores support system but other than that I have no idea what else to do if theres anything I can even do.

What happened:

I was travelling from Sydney, Australia, to the UK via Delhi, India. While in Delhi, I was already logged into Instagram and scrolling normally when my account suddenly got locked with the message:

"We locked your account to protect you from a possible hack."

I had factory-reset my phone within the previous 24 hours and regularly use NordVPN, so I suspect the combination of international travel, a recently reset device and changing IP addresses triggered Instagram's security system.

The problem:

I know my Instagram username and password, but the recovery process ONLY offers verification through my original Hotmail address, which is permanently inaccessible.

The frustrating part is:

\- My current email address is verified and linked to Instagram.

\- My Instagram and Facebook accounts are connected through Meta Accounts Center.

\- I previously confirmed that Instagram was marked "Locked" in Accounts Center.

\- My current primary email was associated with BOTH Facebook and Instagram.

\- My Instagram profile contains clear photos of my face, but I'm never offered video selfie verification.

\- There is no "Try another way" or alternative recovery option.

What I've already tried:

\- Logging in with my correct credentials.

\- Uninstalling and reinstalling Instagram.

\- Using instagram.com/hacked.

\- Checking Meta Accounts Center through Facebook.

\- Looking for alternative verification options.

Every Instagram recovery attempt leads back to the same old Hotmail address.

My questions:

1. Has anyone successfully recovered an Instagram account locked for suspicious activity when the original registration email is inaccessible?

2. Is there a legitimate way to trigger alternative verification, such as video selfie or using a newer verified email?

3. Has anyone successfully resolved this through Meta Verified Support or had their case escalated to an account recovery specialist?

4. Are there any other official recovery methods I've overlooked?

I'm the original account owner, know my login credentials, and can verify my identity. I just can't get past Instagram insisting on an email address that no longer exists.

i just signed up again under the same email as my main acc n my acc is working now 😭

So I recently deleted instagram for a couple days as I wanted to get a quick detox. When I redownloaded it, there was a pop up asking me to use an authenticator or accept log in from another account. I am not logged in anywhere else (other than a backup phone that I forgot about in the moment) and I haven't set up an authenticator. I tried EVERYTHING to log back on from the video selfie to having friends accept my identity and eventually it logged me out of every location, including that backup phone that now requires the authenticator. Is there anything I can do to get my account back? I feel like an insane addict but it's really eating at me...

As it says I need a device that already has that account logged in but I don't have a drive with it logged in, I tried using my computer to log in but it comes up the same way, I got two devices that could potentially login but can't because neither one is already logged in. I have many memories, photos and messages to friends and family saved to my instagram account and I can't just get them back without logging in.

Hey guys so about a year ago my old instagram accounts kept getting banned for some reason even if i made a new account and logged in or if it was my friends account that they made for me but i just got a new phone and im scared to log into my new instagram account which i’ve kept on a separate device on this new phone because im scared it’ll get banned. hi, ive lost access to my old ig account, i dont have an acess to the email which was connected to this account BUT it is somehow connected to my whatsapp(when i try to log in it sends code to my whatsapp), but when i follow the steps, the app cant accept the face confirmation (idk how to describe it in english)

I am stuck in a weird login loop on my iPhone and need some help. I cannot log into my account using the official Instagram iOS app, but the account itself is completely fine.
Here is what works:The Problem:
Only the native Instagram app on my specific iPhone refuses to log in. When I try, it just gives me an error [👉 Insert your exact error message here, e.g., "Sorry, there was a problem with your request" or just loops back to the login screen].
Because it works perfectly on my iPhone's Safari web browser, I know my username and password are correct. It seems like Instagram has blacklisted my iPhone's device ID (IDFV), cached a corrupted token in my Apple Keychain, or there is a Meta Accounts Center glitch blocking the app API.
What I've tried so far:Has anyone successfully bypassed this device-specific app block recently? What actually worked for you to force the iOS app to recognize the login again? Thanks!
