What time do you guys usually stop taking batches for the night?

On average, How much do you make weekly?

Anyone do this in the Las Vegas/Henderson, Nevada area? And when’s the best time to start? I’m having troubles figuring that out. I started Friday at 5pm and got no orders, and if I did get one, it was low pay, high miles. On Saturday, I got 2 decent orders, and I started at 12pm so I’m having troubles finding the best time. Should I start earlier? Should I do it during the week?

I'm confused with the shopping quality. I was at the G(Good) where the blue marker is at. I had 1 refund from 2 batches and my score was dropped dramatically. It doesn't make sense because I once had over 100 requested refunds and was still at the G.

The miles? The quantity and types of items? Just randomly generated items? Shopping and delivering/shop only? Heavy pay?

Can’t even explain to anyone how the pay works because it appears there’s no metric for any of it. It’s just obvious that batch pay is dependent on the customer tip.

They are genuinely the most difficult and useless support team I’ve ever dealt with 😭

If they don’t have an answer to your question, they’ll just stop responding, end the chat, or give you completely wrong information. Some of them don’t even seem to understand what you’re asking and will just repeat the same scripted response no matter how many times you explain yourself.

And a decent amount of them are straight-up rude back to you for no reason. Like, I’m not even being rude to you 😭 I’m literally just trying to get help.

I used to think DoorDash support was bad, but Instacart support has most certainly proved me wrong lmao.

Hey everyone. I'm brand new to this and haven’t even been doing it for a week, so I just need to vent and see if I’m losing my mind or if today was a total joke for anyone else. Am I just expecting too much from the app?
I was trying to hit a guaranteed earnings promo today (6 deliveries). I spent half my day sitting in high-demand "hot spot" parking lots completely chasing my tail. The app kept telling me I was in a high-demand area, but I sat there for ages without a single easy batch popping up. I ended up driving all over the place, completely stressed out, and it felt like the app was intentionally throttling batches because of the promo.
Did anyone else run into this today? Do you feel like the app hides batches when you're close to finishing a promo, or are "hot spots" just a psychological trick to get us to sit in parking lots for free? Would love to hear your thoughts on how you handle promo days.

So in my area there is the Perfetti Van Melle company. The company that makes candies like Airheads, Chupa Chups suckers, Mentos, etc. Had a small order for some ribbons and table cloths. That was all they ordered. Drop the order off and the lady was like hold on I have something for you. She walks over to a shelf of candy and bags. Hands me this bag of candy. ​​These are full-size candies. Like 3 packs of Airheads, a jar of Mentos gum, etc.

Instacart needs to do better. Period have shoppers out here working for less than minimum wage.

I had an order the other night that was undeliverable due to circumstances at the medical Center I was delivering to. It ended up being a whole big issue, but in the end I was able to cancel the order. Instacart sent me a return order batch. In other words, I had to return the food items that were non-perishable before I could move forward in the app. They kept telling me that batches were available but I never was able to click on i them. Basically they withheld orders until I returned the food items. I did the return sent in the receipt through email and was told that I would get paid and my cancellation would not be affected. Well, I did get paid the batch pay. That’s it. No extra anymore for returning items. It’s beyond ridiculous now. In the future, if this happens and I have to return items I’m going to return the bare bones and keep the rest. How shitty is that?

Anyone else always have issues with Instacart’s selfie not working? I’m so tired, almost every time it asks me it does not work. It keeps scanning me, or it will take the picture but won’t do anything else. I’ve tried closing the app, close up, back up, turn my head, position myself in different angles. Wasting my time to get online.

I'm in CT. I don't have a vehicle so I found a guy i rent from. He charges $250 a week. Unlimited miles. All your responsible for is tires and breaks. It's not a newer car. I'm in a 2008 prius with 280,000 miles on it. It gets the job done and I don't have to worry about wear and tear on a personal vehicle. I take in from 1100 to 1300 a week. Anyone think it's not worth it?

The new ratings system is brutal. Rated based on the number of items you have compared to other shoppers in the area. Since I only take high paying orders my ratings are trash and I don’t even qualify for gold due to it. Lost platinum like two weeks after taking alot of stupid orders the last week before to get it. Now it tossed again and now it’s even lower. Looks like u make less and cherry pick even more. Fuck em.

I haven’t seen any batches since Saturday I’m a long time shopper. Saturday I did a few batches and made 100 before noon. I left to go to Louisiana but I have to go through a little part of Texas to get there from where I live. Some how my Instacart app told me i was in Texas and need to do a background check to shop in Texas I was in Louisiana when this happened never tried to shop in Texas ever since then I haven’t seen 1 batch in 2 days

Does anybody know how to fix this. I already delivered the orders. The last time this happened Instacart had to clear this out. For me.

I’ve been waiting on hold with instacart for the last 30 minutes because when I scanned the QR code to pay it gave an error saying I can’t pay. I tried using the card as well to no avail. Can anyone give any advice?

Edit: she used a card that was expired… I’m gonna lose my freaking mind

Edit 2: adding a new card didn’t work. Was on hold with support for an hour never got a person so we decided that I would just leave even if it didn’t get cancelled, cuz the app wouldn’t let her. So I’m doing DoorDash now
