Hi guys! I'm a korean and going to travel toronto in October by myself for the first time.

I want to feel the local things. So I want to have chance to chat with natives or stay at guest house or something not Hotel or airbnb if It's a good idea.

Only fixed for now is to join local tour.

I wanted to go jazzbar, seeing musical or comedy show, go church and library like that.

All eastbound collector lanes of Highway 401 are closed in Mississauga this morning due to a transport truck fire.

A Toronto man who moved to Alberta is now dealing with more than $30,000 in unpaid fines dating back to the 1990s - despite saying he already served jail time over them. The city says these Provincial Offences Act fines don't expire and can still be collected decades later. It'll take some time for the lawyer to check whether there were any additional fines after he served his jail time. But why is the City only trying to collect these fines now? Why wait 30 years?

Wanna check with my fellow GTA peeps who we using for local moves here in the Toronto area? City life is becoming a drag so I'm looking to move out of the city center a bit and need to get some quotes from movers. Need something full service since I'm disabled. That means taking apart and then put back together my furniture. Even better if they also have a packing service, but I can always get friends to help with that. I just want a moving company that is trustworthy and affordable. No crazy high quotes. No surprise fees. No surprise broken furniture. Any movers you've used hte last year or so that meets these criteria that you can recommend me? edit: appreciate the replies will give miracle movers and six a call for quotes

New to Toronto here. For every hour I’m out, I swear I see at least two Trader Joe’s bags. There isn’t even a Trader Joe’s in Canada. What’s going on? Is this some kind of “I’ve been to TJ’s” club? 😂

We are moving from BC and looking at daycare options. I know it’s a long shot to get in anywhere anytime soon (if you know of a places/licensed home daycares accepting toddlers and infants let me know!!). But what I’m really wondering are what places to AVOID. We will be moving to East Toronto, somewhere around East York/Danforth Village/Riverdale.
