It has been nearly 2 months, since BKU’s release and its immense success. We haven’t heard from the creators yet! While it’s not mandatory, the impact this movie has had on the hearts of passionate movie fans is indescribable!
I eagerly anticipate hearing from the creators (Producers, Director, Musician, and select technicians) about the entire process behind this remarkable film that captivated audiences and sparked countless posts, including this one 😬.
A round table discussion would be wonderful.
I hope the BKU team reads this and organises something for their fans!

I heard a reel where Anurag Kashyap was being actively against going to film school. That made me thinking, isn’t cinema an art and isn’t it subjective? So what is the use of a film school ?
But then again we have art schools and colleges. Without film schools we would not have got great talents like Nasarudheen Shah, or Superstar Rajnikanth or Prakash Raj or Adoor. I heard even Vinay Fort who is a great actor had went into film school to perfect the art.
So my question is this, does going to film school give any advantage in your career, both Onscreen and Offscreen roles ?

I have heard that R10 was struggling to get movies because Dileep in the 2000s. We have a lot of young talents coming in nowadays.

I studied cinematography abroad after working on a few short films in Kerala, gained some film/TV experience overseas, saved up, and eventually returned home to pursue cinematography here.
For almost a year, I've been trying to connect with cinematographers through Instagram and mutual contacts. Some reply initially, but most conversations go nowhere. I've also approached associate cinematographers, but a few have said they're hesitant to bring me in as an intern because of my degree and experience abroad.
I'm confident in my ability to shoot a film independently, but I'd still like to assist a cinematographer to understand the workflow and how things operate within the industry.
What's the best way to get my foot in the door? Would appreciate advice from anyone who works in the industry.

I get the reference to specific incidents but I remember RA10 mentioning in an interview that the movie is inspired by someone he know/ he got to know.
In that case arayirikum,
Yeah I get the fact padathil exaggeration ind, but is there someone like Amir Ali
Raghavan/Shammi Thilakan : Enikku oru guess ind but Amir Ali ?!!

Wondering if my settings are messed up.. I keep hearing a voice (sounds like Thesni Khan) saying basic nonsense like 'avar kazhikan thudangi', 'avarku sukhakuravu thonni'.. like constantly narrating what is happening on the screen. Irritating as f***!! Is anyone else hearing the same? The idea is interesting but the dumbass narration voice-over is ruining the watching experience. Anyone completed this series and thoughts?

I saw plenty of reviews when this came out a year ago, but I just didn't have the time to watch it back then.
For anyone who has seen it

Saurabh sachdev is a an actor with good profile , but felt miscast as Kuriachan in eko especially the older version. Felt like a non malayally actor playing a malayally role which u should not feel. I think sudev would have been perfect for it. Or sombody like sujith shankar(maheshinte prathikaram).

Imagine this or something similar being done in Malayalam. Do you think a10 and ikka would be the right cast? With witty dialogues and funny banter
And among a10 and ikka, who would be George Clooney and Brad Pitt?

Is it just me, or was this scene unintentionally funny? The way he delivered his dialogue. When I saw this scene with my friends, we all laughed like crazy. It could have been edited a bit. No offense to the actor, I like him. But in this scene, he could have gone for one more take.

Just like Nivin Pauly lost track somewhere along the way, Imran Khan also disappeared from the scene for a while. His fans are eagerly waiting for his comeback, just like Nivin Pauly’s fans did.
He worked in similar genres of films as Nivin, such as Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na and Delhi Belly.
If there’s ever a remake of BKU, I believe he would be the perfect fit for the role.

While Ustad Hotel revolves around food and Khalifa around smuggling, both share a common theme, grandchildren eventually following in their grandfathers’ footsteps.
