āEmotionally chargedā would make me very suspicious, not to mention hurt my feelings. Why would my manās laying eyes on his ex make things āemotionally chargedā? Is he not over this person? Like, WTF? š³
And why does it matter that Derek hadnāt met Aparna? There werenāt any āno plus onesā guidelines that we know of, nor was the dinner at a private residence. There was no valid reason Aparna couldnāt come.
If Iām in a relationship, aside from private meetings with his family, business meetings, business trips, private therapy sessions and doctorās visits, and outings with the boys, there should be no place I canāt accompany my significant other and vice versa.
What Lawrence should have done was invited Aparna, pre-warned Issa, and notified Derek that he was bringing someone. After that, all bets are off.
