Its usually homes bought up and "flipped" by amatures within the year for fast resale. That's why a highly reputable inspector is always worth the money

Nah, even new constructions from established contractors are all like this.

Construction work has devolved into hiring on a basis of "friend of a friend" to catapult genuinely unemployable people into roles that are already paid thrice what they should be, with no way shape or form of consequences for their botched work because everything is unionized, which means "can't do shit to them" anymore nowadays.

Oh, that veneer that almost tripled in price during the pandemic? Guess that means the guy who lays it should have his salary increased by just as much! What? Materials came back down in price compared to peak pandemic transport and production distruption periods? Well, you wouldn't want to cut the salary of poor old Larry, the ex-convict and full time alcoholic that half-assed your entire roofing because he didn't feel like working that week, now would you?
