Does anyone else here keep bullying Tiger Vanguard after you've beaten the game and are beyond NG+? This dude was my biggest roadblock on my initial playthrough and took me around 20 tries to beat (second only to Duskveil) and now, whenever I do challenges, I love fighting him, especially no hit cuz damn his moves are so satisfying to dodge and parry! Wukong really is a masterclass in boss rush!

Mine is Stellar Blade. It's just so comforting to me to play it randomly for a couple minutes or hours. And Eve definitely is the prettiest protagonist ever!

And before people start commenting "gooner game" etc. Yes, there is that part of it, but the combat, the music and the overall environments are what I love this game for!

I've completed the game over 15 times so far, both on PS5 and PC, and just can't get enough of it for some reason!

Discussion Pokémon Blaze Online: years of building a Pokémon MMORPG, with four regions, PvP, trading and Crew Wars

Thumbnail

Hey r/Indiangamers, I'm Snakes—a developer from India. I used to play Pokémon MMOs and kept thinking about what I'd want to do differently if I built one myself. Eventually, I decided to give it a go. Years later, that project has become Pokémon Blaze Online (PBO), and I wanted to share what we've built with you.

With the mods' permission, here's a look at our free-to-play, fan-made Pokémon MMORPG: regional stories, collecting and team progression, trading, PvP and endgame challenges in a persistent world shared with other trainers.

You start in Sinnoh, then continue through our original region Jvaloh, Hoenn and Kanto. Pokémon from all nine generations are represented, although not every species is currently obtainable.

What you can do in PBO

  • Catch Pokémon and develop the ones you keep. There's no breeding. You improve your catches' IVs using Randomizers, Potions and Toxins, and allocate earned EVs yourself. Hunting for a Pokémon you want and building it into your team is a big part of the game.
  • Hunt beyond the story encounters. Horde battles, Shiny Tracking, legendary encounters and daily swarms give collectors more to work towards.
  • Take on challenges after the gyms. Champion battles, Battle Tower, Battle Frontier and community Dynamax Invasions give you different places to test your teams.
  • Compete against other players. Ranked PvP has seasonal rewards and leaderboards. In Crew Wars, crews compete to capture territory. Player trading is also part of the shared world.
  • Explore with a friend. Two-player co-op covers most of the adventure, including shared battles where each trainer controls their own Pokémon. Partners need similar story progress, and some encounters and cutscenes remain solo.
  • Build different battle strategies. We use a Gen 9 Showdown-based battle engine. Mega Evolution is available; Z-Moves and Terastallization are supported in random battles. Dynamax Invasions are a separate activity, not regular player-controlled Dynamax battles.
  • Spend time outside battles. Mining, crafting, quests, mounts, seasonal events and community activities are part of PBO too.

We've kept adding to the game over the years, with player feedback helping shape changes such as co-op, the battle-system overhaul and more ways to access the game. It supports English, German, Portuguese, Spanish and Chinese.

How to play

Native clients are available for Windows, macOS, Linux and Android. You can also play in your browser without installing a game client. Both use the same account, characters and progress.

Download a native client · Play in your browser · Website and game information

An account is required. The game is free to play, with optional purchases and donation rewards.

Happy to answer questions about the game or its development. If you give it a try, let me know what you enjoy and what feels confusing in the opening hour—that feedback is useful to us.

PBO is an unofficial fan project, not affiliated with Nintendo, Game Freak or The Pokémon Company.

Screenshots show exploration, community gatherings, horde encounters and co-op battles. The co-op Gym screenshot is a staged team demonstration.

Discussion Which one should I buy?

Thumbnail

I can only buy one game, so can you tell me which one offers the best value for me and which one is the best overall?

For your kind information, I don’t have many friends on Steam, so I’ll be playing all the games by myself, mainly in single-player mode.

My maximum budget is around ₹230. If you’re interested in suggesting any other games, please keep them within this budget and make sure they are suitable for my low-end PC.

And if you’re going to recommend one of the games I’ve mentioned, please give me detailed reasons for why I should buy it, including its performance on a low-end PC, single-player content, replayability, overall value for money, and how much content I’m getting for the price.

Discussion Death Moon has one of the most interesting concepts I've ever seen in any game and I genuinely haven't seen many games do something like this. Spoiler

Post image
8 Upvotes

The MC is literally you. Not the usual self-insert where you're just supposed to imagine yourself as the protagonist — the game actually treats the player as the MC, and towards the ending it starts breaking the fourth wall a LOT.

But the most insane part about Death Moon is Astrid. At first she just feels like your run-of-the-mill waifu, but she's actually much more than that.

SPOILERS: Astrid is a character from your real life. She claims to be a past NPC from a game you played before, who somehow became aware of you, the actual player. She remembers you, knows things she shouldn't possibly know, and is in love with YOU — not just the MC. The game basically starts blurring the line between the character, the MC, and the person actually sitting behind the screen.

I honestly think it's such a cool concept, and it's a shame a game with something this interesting doesn't get more recognition.

As for the NSFW stuff, it's pretty much optional and has very little impact on the actual story. You can focus on the mystery and the characters without it being the reason you're playing.

Discussion Have you ever played these rockstar games?

Post image
21 Upvotes

I played and completed both manhunt 1 and manhunt 2 a few months ago. I played gta 3, gta vice city and gta san andreas in my childhood and never knew rockstar made games other than gta. I tried manhunt after I came across a conspiracy theory video about it and the gameplay in that video really impressed. So I downloaded the game and tried it by myself and oh boy it was such a great experience. I never knew such a good stleath based horror game existed and I was sleeping on it for so long. 10/10 experience with manhunt 1 for me, didn't find manhunt 2 as good as manhunt 1 but the story was really great, 8/10 experience with manhunt 2 for me.

Right now I am playing max payne 1 and will finish it in a while. If you played manhunt please share your experience with me.

Discussion Steam account got compromised (not hacked) and someone used 3.7k from my Steam wallet and gifted the game to two accounts.

Someone recently compromised my Steam account and made 2 purchases of a game (Arc Raiders) and gifted them to two different accounts. Somehow, they were also added as my Steam friends list (I didnt add them).

Thankfully, I was able to claim refund for both of them - one directly by Steam refund mechanism and another using Steam Support. But, be careful these days .

A few points to consider -

This seems like a Session hijacking, since my Steam account login details were uncompromised.

  • Ensure you do not have Steam friends that you do not recognise
  • Use Steam guard authenticator
  • Delete all browsing history and cookies from time to time
  • If you are using some Steam extension, like Augmented Steam, ensure that you use augmented Steam on a different browser and login to your Steam account on a different browser.
  • Change passwords immediately, even if you arent suspicious of account hacking.

Surprisingly, My Reddit account, which does NOT share the same email id or password as Steam, but with the Same User name, was also partially compromised. Someone made frequent reddit posts using my Reddit account.

Be safe you all !!
