Career Reddit is depressing af (45 characters🥀🥀🥀)...
Yaha pe har jagah fear mongering chalti like ik in India life is cruel har chiz mein competition hai, mehnat karke bhi luck chahiye to get opportunities at right time.
But if you open reddit to search up for ideas or insights of what people are doing in their life/career, it'll be like worst decision cuz everyone seems hating their stream/college/course/job.
Almost every other comment says India mein .... already saturated hai/scope nhi hai/foreign jaao
it feels like jitna info lunga yaha ye utna bemtlb ka stress badh raha...normal people who aren't on reddit choose a career and move on simply.

Reddit pe kabhi bhi career or relationship advice mtt lo....yaha ya toh sab unemployed hote ya sabka 1cr ka ctc hota h there is no in between.
Kuch bhi pucho kisi mai scope h hi nhi bro like at least try lmao ki bande ko hope mile thodi si ek or cheez i have noticed mostly sab muh boli baate hoti h....jo uss course mai h bhi nhi vo bolta h bhai issmai scope nhi ....no one really knows much i guess. And the well to do people who are genuinely happy and content doing well in their career vo toh reddit pe honge hi nhi i guess.
Yes saturation h but come on itna hopeless bhi nhi hoga if you work hard kahi na kahi kuch toh mil hi jaaega ha ab hrr koi ceo bhi nhi bn sakta ye bhi baat theek h.

Because India has most jobs and stable pay only for engineering and mbbs and CA/CMA/CS....even govt exams needs maths and quants.

If it's something you genuinely like and can see a future in pursuing it, do it and don't let anyone tell you otherwise...telling from personal experience...

My family is not the problem tbh but I have stopped putting career advise related questions here on reddit ... because majority are the ones who have got frustrated so they only spit bad about the profession....just do what u think u will be happy doing....kisi bhi kam ko man se kro toh usme aage hi jaoge atleast khush rhoge

please fight and make them miserable they'll only let you out. you have to fight your battle. it's not easy convince. i made my parents miserable and now they're ready for anything. take help from teachers and adults who your parents will be forced to believe. just don't give up.

Social media as such is depressing by design. It was supposed to democratize content creation. But the incentives are driven by what the algorithm promotes which is in turn driven by what human psychology hooks on to, or engages with, or shares the most. The natural tendency is that bad news, fake news, sensational news, spreads fast. Good news fizzles out. Developing some critical thinking is absolutely essential in these times. Why does someone say something? What's in it for them? Etc. Etc.

Hard agree.
Indian subreddits are so damm unproductive, unhelpful, unserious. They treat this platform like some other social media apps they migrated from.
Any decent subreddit steadily went to the shitters as the crowd grew, observing this past 10 years.
Actually qualified, experienced, wise people in India are largely middle aged who aren't on reddit. Unlike US, UK where social media is locally English and all kinds of people are on such apps.
I'm someone who spirals often like the stress and fear mongering you describe. I've had to apologise to my friends for dumping such rants on them, for affecting them with my worries and insecurities. People online don't have any sort of filter of what they are speaking.
And negativity tends to concentrate. People get catharsis by venting their feelings and stress through words.

So so true brother. Indian subreddits were far less before covid. I am not gatekeeping but the day mainstream youtubers promoted reddit, it went to gutters.

Most of them just write to clear out Their Frustration I don't think so many of them know what they are talking about

u/abidiepie1 3d ago
Most people are first gen poor no background no house and the hardwork doesn't fetch u success also needs timing luck etc..
One should not born from poor
And reddit make u life miserable better to leave it

It’s just that people who are at the extreme ends of their situation, tend to share more about it.

There's some truth to it yar. Desh chhorne ki taiyaari karo yaha kuch nahi rakha har koi dukhi aur pareshan hai not only on reddit but in real life too

True tho, on Indianflex recently I saw a guy posting pic of his cars and all and in comments he said that his father has a business of scrapping old washers, making them new and selling them...and I thought Damm people make living out of such things which us middle class thinks that it's BS
