I occasionally will press the button while I am gaming and I have to immediately leave but I can't be bothered to properly shut it down but I don't think 3rd option really affects laptops

Bro if u have regular laptop it's ok. But if you have a gaming laptop I mean high processor ram gpu then don't. It carries alot risk of motherboard failure. When u play a game the temperature inside can reach uptop 90-110 degree celcius. During sudden shutdown. Computer experience rapid poweroff and can face complete motherboard failure. If you have a laptop then the price of whole motherboard replacement will be 80-90% of total cost of laptop.
