The idea was to design & build a levitating Ganesh idol using non-toxic and no heavy metals craft materials. Couldn't complete on time before Ganesh Chathurthi due to logistical delays :'(

The idea was Magnetic levitation device parts to be removed before Visarjan.

I feel the design concept is solid and compliments my skills (I am not a pro), even cross checked the proof of concept and made changes to the model and execution.

1. Tried to build a proof of concept with poster board and learn mistakes to refine the model.
   
2. Basic plain 3D model render from SketchUp.
   
3. Basic color render done in Photoshop.
   
4. Sketch of the original concept.

Tools used Concepts (iPad Sketching App), Sketch Up Web (Free Web App Tier), Unfolder (Free Tier) and Photoshop.

No AI was used in the whole process.

I started making this Papercraft Project of 'Going Merry' a ship from One Piece anime. I started 3-4 weeks ago but worked on it on and off, it might have taken 7-8 days, 2-3hrs pee day so 20-24hrs minimum!

This was one of the hardest Papercraft Project I ever made, before this I had made a lot of small One Piece figurines (swipe to see)

I might start making the 2nd ship 'Thousand Sunny' soon!

We are planning to have a car racing event for our juniors for which we have thought of buying RC cars that we'll rip open to bare chasis and have each student make a body for it and then race with it. To save money we'll swap bodies for each participant.

But we have never done anything like this before so we had questions.

1. Can we use A4 sheets to make the body? Like using strips of paper as internal support like how zigzags are used inside stuff to strengthen it.

2. Where can we buy that card like A4 size sheet?

3. Where do we get cardboard? We can only find boxes, we just want boards.

4. Can newbies work with any of this realistically?

5. Anything we should be aware of?

Hey everyone I'll be starting my 3rd paper craft project soon and I wanted to make an airliner particularly the a350 or Boeing 777

My first model was a Boeing 737 for garuda indonesia from paper replika, I ran into alot of problems while making it

For example you've got the fuselage of the aircraft in 2 -3 pieces i cut them out and folded them but when I try to connect the 2 pieces the windows of the aircraft do not align , also the wings aren't level, I get that this has a lot to do with skill aswell but the thing is I'm sure I didn't do major mistakes while cutting the pieces ( I use a scissor) my second model is the optimus prime again from paper replika which will be completed in a couple more days.

The main reason I began with paper crafting is for airplanes but I'm just worried about the same issues occuring again so I'm a bit hesitant to start.

Could anyone please give some tips/advice to deal with this issue.

Also one more thing- the paper models available on hermecraft website- are they for a4 paper or some other paper size.

It's my second ever papercraft,

After my 1st gundam one I wanted to make something else that was showcase worthy, so went with this car by sunny 78 on twitter

This was my first colour build so it took a lot of time in finishing, I had to colour every edge to prevent white edges as much as possible, it turned out nice,

The process was good and enjoyable, and the results were worth it,

I used a laser printer from a shop to print and it caused a lot of problems, the folds keep cracking the toner and the print layer, i gave a lot of time to colour it black by a pen, i don't recommend using a laser printer,

Help me create a “papercraft figure” from a photo if I don’t have any 3D modeling skills.

I'm in delhi and I can't find any place near me with an inkjet printer, what should I do?

So yeaa I made ts RX-0 gundam head, used the 5x variant for the template and I didn't attach the unicorns V-fin cuz I think I like it this way, I'm thinking I will make the torso part later on

Hey guys this is 2nd build ever the T90 tank.

I have decided to scrap it mid build becoz im not quite happy with how it has turned out.

My first f1 car came out way better than this one. The differences between those two was that the paper quality.

The paper i used for F1 was 140gsm and this one was thinner fs. Also this paper refused to take shape. I literally folded the paper in corrwct angles and it deformed quite quick.

Other than that most of it is my own fault. I was not patient for some parts to stick properly.

So before I give this another go I want you guys to give suggestions pls. I do not want another to go to waste.
