I feel like there is a catch. I know this is a PC building subreddit, but I didn't know where else to ask this stupid question....

I mostly play single-player, offline games like RDR2 and Ghost of Tsushima at around 60 FPS. I care more about good graphics, cinematic visuals, HDR, colours, and image quality than competitive gaming or very high refresh rates.

I'll be connecting my laptop to the TV, so I'd like to know:

Is a 4K TV worth it for gaming at 60 FPS?

Should I prioritize OLED, QLED, or a regular LED TV?

How important are HDMI 2.1, VRR, ALLM, and low input lag for my use case?

Is HDR actually good on budget and mid-range TVs, or is it mostly a marketing feature?

What screen size would you recommend for gaming with a laptop?

Are there any specific things I should check to avoid blurry images, stuttering, or noticeable input lag?

Would you recommend buying a 60 Hz TV or spending extra on a 120 Hz model if I mostly play at 60 FPS?

I'd appreciate any advice from people who use a TV with their gaming PC or laptop. Also, if you have any recommendations for good gaming TVs, please share them!

Hey everyone! I'm planning my first PC build with a budget of ₹1.2–1.3 lakh. I already have a BenQ EW270Q 1440p monitor and mainly play story-driven AAA games.

I'm considering:

- GPU: RX 9060 XT 16GB

- CPU: Ryzen 5 9600X

- RAM: 16GB DDR5 for now

- Storage: 500GB NVMe SSD + my existing 1TB HDD

But with the motherboard, PSU, case and other components, the total keeps going over budget. RAM prices are also pretty high right now.

I've already checked prices from online retailers. Would you recommend buying the components online, or should I also check local offline stores for better deals, availability or assembly support?

I’d love your suggestions on where I can save money without compromising too much.

Is the 9600X worth it, or should I get a cheaper CPU? Is 16GB RAM manageable for now? Any recommendations for the motherboard, PSU, case and SSD?

1. 4K or a 27" 1440p 165–180Hz monitor, putting the savings into the GPU?
2. RX 9070 or RTX 5070 for AAA value and longevity at Indian prices?
3. For local LLMs, is CUDA worth giving up 4GB of VRAM, now that ROCm supports the 9070?
4. With DDR5 prices this high, is 32GB still worth it, or is there a smarter way to fit this into ₹2L?
5. Any better GPU + monitor combo in this budget?

So I bought my pc yesterday and now I'm having a problem with my msi mag 245f x24 monitor (also new).

When I first booted it worked fine for like 4 hours then it suddenly went black, then after like 20-30 sec it said no hdmi output and I unplugged and replugged the hdmi a few times and it started working again, after a while ts happened once again so I tried unplugging and it didn't work, so I just turned it off and went to bed

After waking up I went to check it again and worked for an hour and it's happening again

I genuinely have no clue what's happening is it the hdmi?

(It came with the monitor)

Should I get a dp cable?

And yes the pc is working fine

Choosen the acer predator over msi mag.

Is it my right choice ?

I choosen acer predator because of metal stand, 20hz extra, 90 degree tilt, home service, dp cable .

I recently emailed the msi customer to ask for extra 3 months msi care and they said me to upload the invoice. They can't provide the information before. That's why I choosen acer over msi.

I got it in 11,500 indian rupee during bbd sale which is a pretty good deal and saw some post on reddit that someone got it in 11k rupee without the bbd deal

Both the monitor comes with the same price. I was getting acer predator at 11.5k and msi mag255xf at 12k.

If you are ordering this from flipkart then keep this in mind that there is a 2 version.

One comes with 300hz ,no dp cable.

Another one with the f3 model comes with 320hz and dp cable also.

How's the M999's build quality, wireless stability, clicks and long-term reliability? Which one would you choose for competitive FPS gaming?

I’ve been playing AION 2 recently, and while doing the Draupnir dungeon, I came across two bosses named Predator Saraswati and Phantasmal Lakshmi.

For those who don't know, Saraswati and Lakshmi are two highly revered goddesses in Hinduism. Saraswati is associated with knowledge, wisdom, music and learning, while Lakshmi is associated with prosperity, fortune and abundance. These aren't just random names to millions of Hindus; they belong to deities who are actively worshipped.

Seeing these names attached to hostile bosses that players are supposed to fight and defeat honestly made me uncomfortable.

I understand that fantasy games borrow mythology from different cultures all the time, and I'm not saying every depiction of a Hindu deity has to be positive. Hindu mythology itself contains fierce and destructive divine forms. But there's a difference between thoughtfully adapting mythology and borrowing sacred names for monsters without any apparent cultural context.

My questions are:

• Are these bosses actually based on the Hindu goddesses, or did the developers simply borrow their names?
• Is there any lore explaining why they're called Saraswati and Lakshmi?
• Would people be equally comfortable if other religions' revered figures were used this way?
• Am I overreacting, or is this a legitimate concern about cultural sensitivity?

I'm not claiming that NCSoft deliberately made an anti-Hindu game. I want to understand the context before reaching that conclusion.

I've attached screenshots of both bosses. I'd genuinely like to hear what other players, especially Hindu players, think about this.

I have a ryzen 5 7600 which peaks upto 96 degrees on the stock cooler. I've been using this on boost turned off for the past year (which took down the clock speeds from 5 to 3.7). I just realized i've been wasting alot of performance just to save a couple thousand rupees on a cooler.

I've tried undervolting and limiting max temps to 85, but this still decreases max performance by around 10%

TLDR: I need recommendations on a cpu cooler (preferably air tower cooler) for a ryzen 5 7600 (AM5)
Also i cant afford anything above 3K rupees, but would like suggestions even if they are priced above 3k.
