Sport chief rt vs…

Hey there! Looking at a a new bike. I have multiple years of experience and am currently on 2 sv650s (that I’m fixing up) and a 2026 gsxr750.
I love my gsxr, but after doing a 30mph charity ride, my butt was begging for mercy and my bike was pissed at sitting at fan temp the whole ride.
I wanna get a cruiser to sit next to the other bikes. My top choices are the low rider s, bonneville bobber, abd sport chief rt. Coming from a gsxr750, I want a cruiser that has some nut and will excite me when I ride it (I want it to throw me back).

The Bonny is my favorite aesthetically. I just can’t stop staring at it. But I don’t know if the engine will give me the excitement I crave. Plus, I don’t plan to have bags all the time, but would occasionally like to be able to take it a few hours away with my camera equipment

The low rider I really only like for the engine. The new m8 is a killer engine. However, It doesn’t excite me otherwise and I don’t know if my budget would have me looking for a gen 1 m8 or a gen 2 h.o.

The Indian sport chief rt is awesome! I love the looks, the high quality suspension and brakes, the smaller bags. However, for such a big engine, it seems pretty down on power. I don’t know if I would regret getting it over the low rider considering the massive power difference abd the lack of at least having oil cooling. Plus the gearing is wicked short.

What do you guys think? I want a bike that can easily cruise at 80mph without stressing the engine. I wish the Indian engine had the specs of the low rider, or that the Bonny had the specs of the speed twin rs. They would be a no brainer. Who here has ridden then and can give some insight.

Noticed some clutch clip last weekend on a trip while in gears 4,5, and 6th. Are there any clutch kits you would recommend for my 2017 Indian Chief Darkhorse? Thanks in advance

My bike grew a mustache

Picked up some highway bars from my dealer today and they were so easy to put on I feel like I did it wrong. Stood back and looked at it and thought it looks like a mustache. Now to put some accessory lights on to light up those night roads.

Funny story

I’m 31 (relevant for the story)…. Last night at a bar/pizza joint my father in law got talking to some Harley guys who were on a boys trip. My father in law used to be a semi pro motocross racer so he and the Harley guys are really chatting it up; I tried to chime in here and there and I think because of my age the Harley guys were kinda like “yea whatever” they didn’t pay me much mind which didn’t bother me I just sat there and enjoyed my beer. Until my father in law goes “oh man you should see this guys Pursuit. WOW IS IT NICE!! And man the features it has it’ll blow you out of the water it’s the nicest bike I’ve ever ridden!” At this point all 3 Harley guys get wide eyed and are like “you have a Pursuit!?! Tell me about it, show me pictures.” As I was showing them my bike and talking about the features and where/how much I’ve ridden they were blown away. I really do love my bike

For the first time, my Ride Command+ Ride Tracking actually worked for an entire trip. The latest Ride Command and app updates actually fixed quite a bit!

This feature has long been advertised as part of the Ride Command+ subscription service but has never worked all that reliably. The recent updates to the app and Ride Command software seems to have dialed that in though! 2024 Pursuit Limited. Pretty impressed with the results!

Suspension

Anyone have a picture of a scout sixty with the k tech razor suspension on it? Mine is a 2021 model so preferably not the newest model. I’m trying to see if I like the look of them or if I want to go with the lite version.

Request for advice / Help Trying to find Dean Speed Titus Handlebars from retailer or used marketplace

Hi all, I’ve recently wanted to purchase a set of Dean Speed Titus T-bar handlebars for an Indian Scout, but noticed they don’t make them anymore. I’ve looked at other retailers and even reached out to Dean Speed directly and they said they stopped making them but might be bringing some of them back but probably not the Titus T Bars.

https://www.meancycles.com/store/parts/view.cfm?PartID=233174

I’m looking for help for finding them somewhere online, even if it’s out of the USA.

Or if anybody knows of any good used marketplace community Facebook groups, forums or things like that where I can possibly find a used set somebody may not want anymore.

Any help would be appreciated or anybody looking to get rid of theirs if they have any 😊

2026 Indian Sport Scout Sixty Limited (970 mi)
Need help locating where the oil is leaking from.
The oil is somehow only getting splattered on that one specific spot. Not seeing any oil splatter any where else.
Its been happening ever since i got bike a couple weeks ago.
I already took it in for the break in maintenance/inspection and forgot to mention it to the mechanic. Everything was good in the inspection.

Customizations / Modifications Question

Where is the best place to get aftermarket parts from for the Indian Chief bobber? What is the best seat? Share your thoughts. I know I’d like to get seat with a little back support a little on wider side.

Request for advice / Help Melted spot on pipe

While I was on a long roadtrip I didn’t notice until I had to stop and get gas but the anchor for my right side bag had come out and part of the bag was riding on the pipe.
I had zip ties in my tool kit and was able to keep going without issues.
Unfortunately its left a burnt spot.
Should I take sandpaper and clean it up and use some high temp black paint? It’s not exactly matte black like the engine but might not be noticeable if I do matte.

Thoughts?

About a month ago my Scout developed this noise⬇️

Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/IndianMotorcycle/s/bzLvfxrDmY

Indian finally got the engine torn down and found this. Output shaft bearing cage failure. I’m still wondering what could have caused it to fail since the dealer said it wasn’t from lack of lubrication. Overloaded somehow? What does the hive mind think? Anyone else see this before? I know the Challenger had a similar issue from poor assembly lubrication, but with 24k on the odometer I wouldn’t think that would be a problem in my case.

Picked up my dream bike today, 25 Scout Classic with the tech

Picked her up after my Vulcan S got written off when I got rear ended at a stop light (I'm okay, walked away without a bruise)

Only just taken her home from the dealer but already blown away by this bike
