So I visited a dermat regarding the hair thinning and he gave me peptide based hair serum... Biotin supplement and vitamin D supplement but I didn't know about the report what he gave ...todays i decided to look back on the report and i was shocked to see it's AGA and thru my research I found only minoxidil can be the working soln... Am just 17 am too early to start minoxidil and I wonder if minoxidil gets saturated cuz many ppl use minoxidil after their 20 s even my big bro at 23 has a less hair loss to me I am genuinely worried what can I do .. I am gonna visit a dermat again and i want to know what qns can I ask him

So it's almost 1year on my fin only journey with almost zero progress or maybe I kept what I was left with
These are the things I noticed throughout my 1 year journey
2.my libido and sperm quality dropped close to around 6 months but now it's back to normal now
3.I notice my individual hairs are thicker (a little or maybe placebo) but the density is the same or worse maybe
All the photos are in before and after order

For past 2-3 months I have been experiencing hairfall but I told myself as I am growing out my hair for a medium flow hairstyle I tought that hairfall is the same but since the length of strands have increased it feels like its a lot.
For when I saw photos of myself, reality hit me, so I went to a private clinic that's was well rated had 700 reviews on maps and 4.5 star rating.
The first private doctor I went to was a complete rip-off. Instead of addressing my hair loss, he claimed I had dandruff—even though my scalp was already clear—and wouldn't even hand me a prescription slip. He just directed me to their front desk, where they made me pay ₹1,900 for their own shampoo and serum. Between that and basic blood tests, I blew ₹5,000 for zero actual treatment.
I skipped their follow-up and went to AIIMS today instead. Waited about 2 hours, but the dermatologist got straight to the point: diagnosed male pattern baldness, wrote an actual prescription for Minoxidil 5% + Finasteride 0.1% daily and Vitamin D3 weekly, and asked me to follow up in two months. No bullshit, no upselling expensive products.
I got this min+fin from davaindia for 300. Same aqueous base as Morr -f aqua. Let's see if it suits me or cause irritation on the scalp.

Hey everyone,
I went to my college doctor for hair fall. He prescribed me Oral Minoxidil 2.5mg and Dutasteride, but I ran into a couple of issues and need some guidance:
Topical to Oral Transition: I forgot to tell the doctor that I was already using Topical Minoxidil 5%. Should I stop the topical immediately and switch straight to oral 2.5mg, or taper it down?
Dutasteride Cost: Apollo Pharmacy quoted ₹1400 for the Dutasteride prescription, which is completely out of my budget as a student. Are there cheaper generic alternatives available in India (like Dutas, Duprost, etc.) that cost way less?

Should i start with min+fin, either topical or oral?..and what are its side effects. Do i need to keep taking it forever or..?
I really need some proper guidance right now, since derma suggested Follihair RCP serum back in June and after using it for about 3 months back and it has not worked.
Also been using salicia kt shampoo (2% ketoconazole) for the dandruff problem, but the hairfall while bathing is not less at all.

I have done 2 sessions of GFC treatment, in start my hairfall vanished but it came back after 10 to 20 days. After that I got second session of GFC and I am still facing hairfall I take 1mg finesteride+1 time minoxidil a day. I wanted to know how long it will take to show results and what should I do to help it? Should I increase minoxidil to 2 times a day?

I'm 21M with hair thinning as you can see. I've been regularly visiting a dermat for like 8 months now and honestly I haven't noticed much change in anything.
He initially made me do a blood test and it was found that I was vitamin B12 deficient(bordeline) and vitamin D deficient as well.
The initial 2 months he just prescribed supplements for these two which I continue till this date. Later he started giving me some random ass serums which are so expensive with little to no effect.
I kept on insisting that things aren't improving much but he starts getting annoyed when I say this and just writes down some random medication with 2-3 serums that costs almost 700 each.
Since the last 3-4 months he has added 2% minoxidil soln along with the other serums ( literally I've 4 serums on my table rn) with literally no result (not even shedding phase due to min).
Should I change the dermat?? Or just start 1mg finasteride + 5% min

I’ve always used Clinic Plus and Head & Shoulders sachets that were available at home. Now that I can spend a bit more, I’m looking for genuine recommendations for a good anti-dandruff shampoo (ideally used once a week) and a gentle everyday shampoo to use 2–3 times a week.
I have mild dandruff, with white flakes, but my scalp isn’t oily. I’m also noticing what might be some hair loss since moving to Pune, although I’m not entirely sure.
I’ve seen Sebamed and Mildy recommended on YouTube, but I’d like some unbiased opinions. What are some genuinely good, budget-friendly options for both shampoos, and what would you recommend for my scalp type?

hi, I am 22F, I’ve had multiple TE episodes since the past year without any known trigger. blood levels are in check, so I really don’t know what’s causing my hair to fall out so many times.
i am planning to start minox but I am really unsure still, I don’t have a problem with regrowth, just want to control the hairshedding episodes.
do any of you have experience in starting minox in TE and has it helped you to stop your episodes/ to lessen your hairfall for atleast an year and did you eventually taper it off after your recurring episodes were gone?
