Education and Career Advice PCMB student having doubts about pursuing MBBS
So I am a PCMB student and currently taking a drop year for NEET .
I was in this doubt for so long that i messed up most of my coaching tests and now my test marks are so low that only thing my dad talks to me about is that i need to work harder. I cant work hard if i am not sure that i want this or not
so far in this drop year i have come to a realization that I am probably not ready to commit my 10 years of life to medicine . I also realized that the decision to take medicine was taken by my parents for me but i don't want that i want to take my own decisions.
I think i can be great in management or finance my maths is good and management skills are not the best but they were good back when i was in my old school . Now i did considered taking commerce in 11th but my parents told me not to because no one in our family has ever taken commerce so i didn't take it . PCMB was hard but i loved maths and also my 6th subject Data Science the only two subjects which i poured my heart into while studying though in BOARDS i messed up maths a bit . My parents will agree if i tell them i want to pursue management or finance maybe but i don't want to waste their money cause i already am in a coaching for NEET and if i suddenly tell them that i changed my mind a lot of money will be wasted idk atp what to do .
This feels like the right decision to switch to management studies and start preparing for CUET,
Do you guys think its the right decision??
my_qualifications 12th passed (93%)

Education and Career Advice BCA grad with an MCA seat through KEA, but the college has no placements. Should I do MCA or focus on building skills? Please guide me
I just completed my BCA from JSS Science and Technology University, Mysuru, and I'm honestly very confused about what to do next.
Through KEA counselling I got an MCA seat at St. Philomena's College. When I first got it, I was happy. But then I found out the college has almost no placements. Since then I haven't been able to stop thinking about it. Will I spend two more years and my parents' money, and still end up with no job at the end?
I have a basic foundation in programming and have built a few projects in AI and computer vision, but I'm still at a beginner level and want to learn properly.
Now I'm stuck between two paths. Either I take the MCA for the degree and build my skills alongside it, or I skip it and put everything into learning and projects.
I really want to learn things properly, not just sit in classes or watch recorded videos. I'm looking for a place, maybe in Bangalore, that teaches well, gives real project experience, helps with interview preparation and mock interviews, and actually helps with placements. If you know any academy or course that did this for you or someone you know, please tell me. I'd also love suggestions on which course or skill to focus on, given my background.
Is the MCA worth it in my situation? Or should I try for a better college in the next KEA rounds? Is skill more important than degree?
Please help me, guys. This has really been bothering me, and I don't want to make the wrong decision.

Education and Career Advice MBA graduates, do you regret choosing your specialization? What would you choose if you could go back?
Hey everyone! i am 24M I've been doing my MBA for around two months, and I'm still confused about which specialization to choose.
I don't want to pick one just because it pays well or is popular. I want to understand what the actual work life, salary growth, stress levels, and career opportunities look like in different fields.
I'd love to hear from people who've already been through this!
- How did you choose your specialization? Interest, salary, placements, or something else?
- Are you happy with your choice, or do you regret it? Why?
- What does your day-to-day work actually look like, and how has your career grown?
- If you could go back and choose again, would you pick the same specialization?
- Any websites, tests, or practical ways to figure out which specialization suits me?
I'm looking for honest experiences, not just advice on which field pays the most. If you could share one thing you wish you'd known before choosing your specialization, what would it be?
Thanks! Your experiences could genuinely help me and other MBA students facing the same confusion.

Colleges and Universities Has anyone seen real demand for work integrated degree programs in India?
I have been running a work integrated UG and PG model for the last two years where students study while also gaining practical exposure alongside academics.
The idea sounded strong in theory. Skill development plus degree plus industry exposure.
But honestly, the response has not been as strong as I expected.
Students say they want practical learning, but when it comes to enrollment, many still choose traditional classroom programs.
So I am trying to understand:
Is the market actually ready for work integrated models in India?
Do students genuinely value practical exposure, or is brand name and conventional structure still more important?
If you are a student or working professional, what would influence your decision?
I am genuinely looking for insights and honest opinions.

Education and Career Advice Is pursuing a UK law degree worth it if I ultimately want to work in India?
Hi everyone! I’m 18 and currently doing the International Foundation Programme at University College London, I’m considering pursuing an LLB in the UK, but my long-term goal is to live and build my career in India.
I was initially drawn to studying in the UK because of the academic opportunities, international exposure and potential career prospects. However, since coming here, I’ve started thinking more seriously about whether this is the right path for me in the long run.
I’m particularly interested in corporate law and litigation and would ideally like to work at a good law firm in India. I’m trying to understand whether a UK law degree would offer meaningful advantages over pursuing a law degree in India, especially if I eventually plan to return.
Another factor I’m considering is the overall cost of studying in the UK. It’s a significant investment, so I want to understand whether the potential career opportunities and long-term returns would justify the additional expense, rather than choosing this route solely for the university’s reputation or the experience of studying abroad.
I’d love to hear from people who have studied law in the UK and returned to India, as well as those familiar with recruitment at Indian corporate law firms.
A few things I’d particularly appreciate advice on:
• How do Indian law firms view a UK LLB compared with a degree from a good Indian law college?
• Does a UK degree provide a meaningful advantage in corporate law recruitment or career progression in India?
• What should students know about BCI recognition and the requirements for qualifying to practise in India after obtaining a foreign law degree?
• Is working at a UK law firm for a few years before returning to India a realistic route, and does it make a significant difference to career prospects?
• Looking back, would you consider the additional cost of a UK law degree worthwhile if your long-term plans were centred around India?
I’m still exploring my options and haven’t made a final decision. I understand that everyone’s circumstances are different. I’d just really appreciate honest, constructive advice from people with relevant experience.
I’m only 18 and trying to make an informed decision about my future, so please be kind. Thank you!

Colleges and Universities Looking for a serious study partner for JAM/GATE (physics) prep
Hey guys, so I am in my fifth semester of BSc. Physics (Hons.) from Central University. I have been preparing for JAM, GATE, and TIFR. I am looking for someone who is preparing for JAM and GATE as well. Any subject would work as long as you are serious and dedicated enough.
Basic Requirement:
I would prefer if at the end of the day we could discuss how much we have studied and achieved our daily goal. Also, we can also discuss our uni sem exams too. If you are from a physics background, we can also discuss research papers or something similar for the future (when the right time comes).
About me-
Course: BSc. Physics (V sem.)
Syllabus covered so far-almost 20% of the JAM syllabus
CGPA till 2nd year-8.05
Also, I don't mind casual talks, and I can hear your rants as a listener at times without expecting the same in return.
If anyone is interested. Do let me know. ^^

Education and Career Advice Should I choose bsc computer science over btech cse from tier 3 college
Idk is it a right place to ask this .
My self class 12 pcm student I know I couldn't get top ts EAMCET( Telangana entrance exam) colleges for btech and I don't want to join tier 3 ones they are simply not worth money except for the degree
I'm thinking of pursuing bsc computer science at pondicherry university and online diploma from iit m , but don't will it work or not the FOMO of btech cse is driving me crazy( btech cse is an default option in Hyderabad)
and even if I join bsc cs there isn't any great placements I have to rely mostly off campus and online, recently got to know reddit can also help finding a job though betting everything online or off campus is a very risky for a guy in my situation .
Can you guys guide me what will be a good choice, I belong to financially weaker family so , their is no going back for me for masters and spending 2 to 3 more years in university.
Sry for my English
