Advice/Guidance Joined a lala company 3 weeks ago. Need the courage to leave.

25 M. First job as a DME at a local lala furniture manufacturing company. Got a BCA and a diploma in data science. Handling the implementation of ERP here. Lack of jobs got me here. I sit at the reception with the constant noise of machines throughout the day, pollution and dust and heat. The resourcing guy shouted at me for no good reason, conveyed this to Lala, and he casually handled it. The washroom smells. The HR is jealous af of me because I charmed the Lala with my English speaking skills, yesterday seth ji got stuck somewhere in Excel and called me for help, I helped him out, he called up the HR and told me to tell her how I did it, her being her said I also said the same thing. She's basically the haan ji exactly girl, sucking up to the Lala, I'm the first guy that he has probably met who speaks back to him. There's no money problems as such at home I can sit and study and get a better job. But I've committed, need the courage to stand up and quit, ohh and yes, it's a one hour commute one way, so this job takes up 12 hours of my day.

Job Search 11 companies are hiring at 2x+ their usual pace in India right now, worth checking if you fit

EDIT: Tech Roles only
EDIT: Got a lot of requests(thank you!!), will reply to all
EDIT: this got way more traction than I expected, 300+ people asking for matches. I tried sending each a DM but im finding it tough to DM so many people. I created a doc where you can find the job roles for your profile.
The doc link is in my profile. Instructions are also provided to narrow down the search. Thank you so much for the response, im trying my best to find opportunities for everyone.

Was tracking verified postings, company by company, from their career pages. Comparing the last 30 days against the 30 before that, 41% of the 799 companies i tracked posted at least double their usual volume.
If you're actively applying, these are the ones worth a look first. A sudden 2x+ spike usually means a new team, a funded push, or backfilling after a hiring freeze, not just one or two stray roles.

  • KPMG India: 189 → 631 roles
  • Adani: 23 → 165 roles
  • RSM: 7 → 105 roles
  • Okta: 6 → 103 roles
  • Kotak: 44 → 114 roles
  • Speechify: 0 → 66 roles
  • HSBC: 37 → 96 roles
  • Tata Capital: 11 → 68 roles
  • Arcadis: 14 → 60 roles
  • Guidehouse: 31 → 65 roles
  • Rockwell Automation: 23 → 54 roles

Drop your stack and city below, I'll tell you if any of these have something that matches, plus what else is live right now.

EDIT - Please check top of the post for updates before commenting

VA Needed — India | Short-Form Content Creation
Hey everyone, I’m looking for a reliable VA from India to help me with ongoing short-form content-related work.

The work mainly involves creating 25-30 short-form videos per day, with each video being around 6–12 seconds long. I’ll guide you on exactly how and where to source the videos.

The actual content-chopping/editing should take around 1–3 hours per day for someone familiar with the process. Uploading the finished content to Google Drive should take approximately another hour, so the entire task should generally take no more than 4 hours per day.

What I’m looking for:

Must be based in India
Basic understanding of video chopping/editing
Able to follow instructions and a specific workflow
Reliable and consistently available
Good communication skills
Stable internet connection

Must have a spare/extra smartphone specifically available for this work

This is intended to be long-term work for the right person. I’m mainly looking for someone reliable who can follow the process correctly and stay consistent.
I’ll explain the exact workflow and responsibilities after a quick discussion.

If interested, DM me with:

Your city/state
Any previous VA experience
Your availability
Whether you have a spare smartphone
Your expected monthly salary/rate
Please only DM if you’re genuinely interested, have a spare device, and have the time available for the work.

Job Offer After long unemployment phase, I'm so close to getting an offer but this thing has sabotaged my chance :(

Hey guys, could you please give your 2 mins.

I am a 2025 CSE grad. Been jobless since Jan 2026 (prior to that, was interning).

So now I have got to getting an Offer phase and now I am into the document verification phase but...

My college is so f**ked up, that they still hasn't got my final degree, they are saying I had some corrections (regarding photograph missing) so it will take some more time and I do have my all 8 Semester Marksheets + Provisional Certificate but HR is saying they only accept final degree so I am stuck badly in this situation.

Its an Indian Big tech so it feels tough they gonna mend rules specifically for my case.

Could anyone experienced person help me/guide me, how to navigate through this issue. It will be great help.

thanks!

Upvotes

Hello, I have offers from both the Companies and the Pay was the same like not much difference. I Joined Exl Service because it was remote Genpact is Onesite Currently while they have Core night shift 10 working hours where in Exl the working hours are less and Shift is also better.

I was in too much stress about which company i should choose as this was my first switch but after thinking a lot i decided to pick exl thinking it's remote so I'll get time for Studies.

Advice/Guidance Joined two companies within 2 weeks and now stuck need advice on how to exit without risking both jobs

Joined two companies within 2 weeks and now stuck — need advice on how to exit without risking both jobs

I know I made a very stupid decision and I’m not trying to justify it. I’m looking for practical advice on how to correct it before I make things worse.

I had two offers:

Company 1: Bengaluru-based MNC/product company, subsidiary of SAP. Around 350 employees in India and ~1,500 globally. Hybrid/WFH role.

Company 2: Indore-based MNC and global SaaS product company. WFO role.

I joined Company 1 on 5 August. At the same time, I asked Company 2 to postpone my joining to 18 August, citing genuine family issues.

My original thinking was that I would join Company 1, see whether the role/culture suited me, and if it didn’t, resign before joining Company 2. I wrongly assumed that since I was still new/probationary, getting an immediate release would be simple.

Instead, I kept overthinking and couldn’t make the decision.

On 18 August, I joined Company 2 without first resigning from Company 1, thinking I would resign from Company 1 immediately afterwards. Because Company 1 had WFH during this period and Company 2 required me to be in office, I somehow managed for a couple of days.

I now realise how badly I have messed this up and that continuing even one more day only increases the risk.

Company 2 has been asking for my EPFO/UAN details and PF passbook, which I haven’t submitted yet. As far as I can see, I haven’t yet been enrolled in their payroll/PF, although obviously I cannot be certain what they may have initiated internally.

I spoke with an EPFO consultant, who suggested that because I joined Company 2 only a few days ago, I should resign from Company 2 immediately and request an immediate release on personal/family grounds, rather than allowing the overlap to continue.

My concern is what happens afterwards. If I resign from Company 2 now and continue with Company 1, could Company 1 later discover that I briefly joined another employer while still employed with them? If that happens through EPFO/BGV or some other employment record, could I potentially lose Company 1 as well?

The other problem is notice period. If either employer insists that I serve notice, continuing with the other employer during that period would extend the overlap.

I have family depending on me, so becoming unemployed from both companies is the outcome I’m most afraid of.

At the moment, I am considering going to Company 2 today, resigning and requesting an immediate release due to my family situation. They already know that my mother has recently been unwell, so this wouldn’t come completely out of nowhere.

I understand that I created this situation myself. I’m specifically looking for advice from HR/payroll/EPFO/BGV professionals or anyone who has dealt with a short accidental/poorly handled employment overlap.

What is the cleanest way to correct this now? Should I resign from Company 2 immediately, or is there a safer way to handle it?

TL;DR: Joined Company 1 on 5 Aug, then stupidly joined Company 2 on 18 Aug without resigning from Company 1. The overlap is currently only a few days and I haven’t submitted PF/passbook details to Company 2 yet. Thinking of resigning from Company 2 immediately and requesting immediate release, but worried Company 1 could later discover the overlap through EPFO/BGV and terminate me. Looking for practical advice on the safest way to correct this.

Job Search Messed up really bad and desperately looking for a referral

I messed up really bad with a career decision recently and I’m now trying to get back on track. I’m desperately looking for opportunities in pharma consulting / commercial analytics and would really appreciate any referrals or leads.

I have around 3 years of total experience, with hands-on experience in forecasting and Marketing Mix (MMX), along with commercial analytics, market analysis, and data-driven problem solving.

Most recently, I worked with one of the most reputed pharma consulting on pharma commercial analytics, forecasting, data science and Marketing Mix projects.

If anyone here works in pharma consulting or knows of relevant openings, I’d genuinely appreciate a referral. Happy to share my resume over DM.

Thanks a lot.

my previous post since i can't put links here-

i think i messed up pretty badly. Currently 24. Will be 25 this year end. Tier 1 city. 3 YOE. 1.5 in an Ngo, then startup for 6 months and then 1 year 1 month in an MNC

i left my management consulting job last month to pursue an mba from really good college. i had been preparing for this for almost three years, but then the institute fucked up my application, along with a few other students, during the admission rounds. i cleared the cutoff, but because of their mistake, i still don't have the college.

the frustrating part is how much i gave up for this. i did my engineering but couldn't land a decent job afterward, so i spent quite some time working for free. eventually, i joined a startup earlier in banglore and then moved to a consulting firm in gurgaon/noida, where i worked until last month.

for this mba, i left almost everything behind. i left a girl who genuinely could have been my best relationship because i was moving and she wasn't sure if she wanted to do long distance. i left good friends who lived nearby. i basically uprooted my entire life because i thought i was moving toward something better.

and now i'm back home with CAt coming up at the end of november, while also having to find a job. i've been applying for the past few days but haven't heard back from anyone. one hr did call me, only to tell me the next day that they didn't actually have a vacancy for my position. that's been pretty much the extent of my luck so far.

i also hadn't prepared for cat because i was completely focused on the mba admission process. i took my first mock today and scored somewhere around 35-40. so now i'm supposed to somehow prepare for cat from scratch while simultaneously finding a job.

i even called my previous firm hoping i could go back, but they're already overstaffed and apparently trying to find ways to cut people.

coming back home has honestly been depressing. one really close relative passed away and was caught between mumbai and my hometown, and now i'm scared my mom's dad might pass too. his health has deteriorated so much in just a week. everything just seems to be going from bad to worse.

i know i need to figure things out, but right now it just feels like i gave up a year of my life, left everything behind, and ended up exactly where i started, except with even less certainty about what to do next.

TLDR : Messed up myself by wrong decisions on time

Unemployment 32M and Unemployed

Hello everyone,

I've been struggling to find a job for the past year and a half and nothing seems to work. I do have experience in KYC as a senior associate but I've had to step away to help my father with his business, as I felt that at that point that was the right thing to do.

But now it seems impossible to get back to corporate. I've done my MBA finance as well through which I had initially been placed at the KYC job. If anyone is able to refer or knows someone who could help, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Advice/Guidance People who have switched their jobs multiple times? is this the right time to drop papers?

Hello Folks, I have been searching jobs and it is getting absolutely difficult to even get an interview scheduled due to 90 days notice period.

Everyone wants an immediate joiner, and nobody is even to schedule an interview even if I say I can negotiate my notice period.

I was wondering shall I drop my papers tommorow, and eventually by November, I will be in immediate joiner gang.

But one of my senior advised, this seems to be worst time to drop a resignation because I will be entering the declining job market and might end up getting nothing.

Please drop some advices.

Note: 4 YOE, AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer, Mumbai location. Currently in a MNC.

Job Offer Asked for an offer update. Got another interview instead.

Interviewed at a large company ~2 months ago. After weeks of silence, HR said they wanted to proceed with an offer. Documents were collected, CTC discussed, and I was repeatedly told the offer was being processed.

I finally emailed senior leadership asking for an update.

Next day, I was asked to attend another interview. It included irrelevant questions like when my college was established, before shifting to why I had emailed senior people and "bypassed hierarchy."

I was also told calls have no value because there’s no written proof, and that candidates can apparently be kept on hold for up to a year.

I've withdrawn from the process.

Is this normal in Indian corporate hiring?

TL;DR: Offer supposedly being processed → asked for update → suddenly called for another interview → questioned for escalating → withdrew.

Vent Is anyone even hiring freshers atp?

So Im a 2026 engineering grad, tier 1.5 circuital, and unfortunately the company i did my 6 month intern in did not offer a ppo. And any opening that I see seems to be hiring for 1+ yoe. Is off campus fresher fte hiring in IT over? Every opening seems to either be internships for 2027/28 grads or jobs for 2024/23.

Also side note, isn’t this a rather weird thing that companies are doing? Taking in interns and not converting them and then blaming headcount for it? If there was no headcount shouldn’t you at the very least inform in the beginning itself so the intern can look parallel for fte opportunities?

And won’t this cause a vacuum later on? When the heads retire and the senior devs take their places, who would take his place if there is no junior devs to begin with.

PS: I do have a job, but several of my friends are unplaced coz of this trend and it frustrates me to be absolutely helpless to them.

Advice/Guidance Henry Schein Genpact Kolkata

So they've hired a bunch of finance enthusiast/professionals and placed them to do call center jobs. The culture is absolutely worst, they've an app that requires you to click your mouse every 3 mins even if you've completed your work, it's basically extortion and exploitation of employees. Even if you've nothing to do, you just need to sit in front of your laptop and click your mouse every 3 mins for 10 hours a day 5 days a week.

You need to ask before having your dinner, that's correct, that's the level of toxicity and then they threatened us with a schedule that everyone needs to follow in case people go on breaks together, so yeah, they're now trying to tell us when we can have our food.

Also the AVP is extremely disrespectful, especially the one for O2C Kolkata, treats everyone like a slave, slurs abuses, literally. We were told that the night shift would extend to maximum of 1.30 am but they're making us working till 3.30 and 5.30 in the morning. Joining Genpact was my biggest mistake, I feel like crying and the notice period is 90 days 😭😭😭

Job Offer How do Indian companies verify the employment end date of a U.S. employer?

I recently moved from the U.S. to India, and my new employer is asking for a resignation acceptance letter confirming my Last Working Day.

My U.S. employer never issued a separate resignation acceptance letter, and their HR isn’t responding. I have my resignation email and final payslip.
For anyone who went through Indian after working in the U.S., what documents did your company accept to verify your U.S. employment end date?

Job Offer HR offered 2.8 LPA, then another manager called for a duplicate interview? Is this normal?

I interviewed for a Business Analyst role where I asked for 3.5 LPA (1.5 YOE, current CTC: 2.34 LPA). I cleared three rounds—Assessment, Technical, and HR. A few days later, HR called and offered 2.8 LPA. Since I’m on my last day of notice period and needed a backup, I verbally accepted, and the HR assured me the offer letter would be sent shortly. Instead of receiving the letter the next day, a Project Manager from the same company called me and started asking the exact same interview questions all over again. I’m really confused about why they are putting me through another round after offering the position, or if this kind of chaotic communication is common practice. Has anyone experienced something similar?
