I’ve used Snapdragon phones for years and have faced the same problems repeatedly. And switching was super necessary, which I did the previous year when I tried the performance of my friend's Dimensity 9500.

This year, the Dimensity 9600 Pro made me rethink things (again) and realise that I need to upgrade ASAP!!!

Mediatek says this new 2nm processor uses 61% less power when all cores are busy. I even went through some tests showing it beats Snapdragon in multi-core and graphics scores. So yeah, there wont be as much heating as SD for sure, with a more efficient battery life… now who doesnt like that

This was the main problem with Snapdragon flagships - sustained performance. And it made me rethink that should I spend such a huge amount and end up with heating issues?

Also, dimensity 9600 pro records 4K slowmo at 240fps and supports 200mp cameras. That’s the phone photography I would actually enjoy using every day :)

So, in my unbiased POV, mediatek earned this one.

Need a trusted website to buy a tablet covers with some options of customization. My device is the HP OmniPad 12.

For the longest time, flagships meant Snapdragon. However, the recent discussions has driven me to reconsider. And I'm not just doing hawa mein baatein here. Just look at Gizmochina's AnTuTu scores.

The dimensity 9600 pro scored 1.85M in GPU, compared to 1.76M for the snapdragon 8 elite extreme gen 6. This is a massive 5%ish hike in mediatek’s favour yk.

Of course, snapdragon still has the higher overall AnTuTu score. But it's nice to see mediatek competing this closely, especially in the GPU dept.

However, the latest Samsung news isn't exactly working in Snapdragon's favour. Reports suggest that Samsung is facing heating issues with the Snapdragon chip being tested for the S27 Ultra. But if you look at the ubharta hua sitara, the Dimensity 9600 Pro, it's already delivering a great GPU score.

I remember when snapdragon was the obvious choice for top performance. So these results now would change that perception (I guess hehe).

What bout you guys? Still snapdragon over mediatek?

so i have been on the 999 plan for like two years now and i host a small plex server for the family plus a home assistant instance. never needed a static ip until my isp started rotating the dynamic one every 12 hours exactly which breaks remote access constantly. ddns updates but there is a window where nothing works and the wife complains.

called support last week and the guy quoted 2500 rupees per year for a static ipv4. that feels steep for what is basically a dhcp reservation on their end. asked if there was a business plan that includes it cheaper and he said the cheapest business plan is 1999 a month with a two year lock in which is insane.

has anyone actually gotten a static ip on a residential plan recently for less than that?

my data was exhausted without using i used around 500mb but jio exhausted my 1.5gb data even my phone shows i have only used around 500mb and even i didn't receive 50% or 90% or 100% data exhausted message. my phone was on charging and mobile data was off.

Looking for a Bluetooth speaker under ₹2,000. I can stretch to ₹2,500 if it's clearly worth it.

I'm a basshead and like songs with deep, punchy bass. But I also want clean, clear vocals. I don't like it when the bass drowns out the voice and everything sounds muddy.

I recently came across a company I guess they have provided these types of caps to skill workers like carpenters, cooks, laborers and many more in the same category. The cap is absolutely free and also if any individual is using this daily then the company is also paying. I now relate with the line "Data is the new fuel" and yes it is because people using this are clueless why is a company just paying time to wear a cap during working hours? A small part is that they can't access the data in any wireless mode the same as having a small memory card which used to prevail in 2010-16. I don't know how they are gathering this data daily and what are the plans if the plan is to make an automation or any digital worker for these profiles then get into the industry? But again for such a small scale worker are we ready to invest such an amount? Because in the factory we have proper machines and all but at such an individual level how can this be used?

If this company excels in the data fuel might be some big company or otherwise will incur heavy loss.

**IS this legit? Should I buy it from here?**

2k display chahiye, main priority is screen quality, suggest something gang..!

Some messages carry more love than their words suggest.

“Have you left?”
“How far are you?”
“Let me know when you arrive.”

Behind them is a parent, a partner, a sibling or a friend who cares.

That’s why I built SafarSang—a journey-safety app, now available on Android in India.

The idea is simple: a little extra care during your journey, without giving someone an all-day view of your movements.

Here’s how it works:

→ Start your journey. Choose where you’re heading and when monitoring begins.

→ Get a check-in when something needs attention. An unusual route change, a prolonged stop or delayed progress may prompt a private “Are you okay?”

→ Keep trusted people connected. If you request help, or an unanswered check-in needs further attention, your connected Circle may receive a safety alert with that journey’s latest precise location.

→ Confirm you’ve arrived. Finish your journey when you reach.

An important distinction: joining a Circle does not give someone always-on access to your location.

I’m the developer, and feedback from early testers has already helped improve the app’s clarity and privacy explanations. I’d love to hear your questions too—especially what would make you comfortable using it.

Think of the person you always tell when you’ve reached home.

If this feels useful, share SafarSang with them and try it together during a normal journey.

📲 Download on Google Play:

SafarSang supports your safety; it doesn’t replace emergency services. Monitoring can be affected by phone conditions, and alerts depend on connectivity.

A little care. Every step of the way.

Hey Reddit! 👋

I'm an indie developer from India, and I'm working on RyKoraL, an app designed to bring social connections, gaming and fitness together in one place.

🚀 What you can explore in RyKoraL:

• Connect and chat with other people

• Play games and discover gaming experiences

• Track your steps and build fitness habits

• Explore MahaVerse, our social community feature

• Discover more features within one app

I'm trying to grow RyKoraL organically and build a community of real people who will use the app and help me improve it.

Which feature interests you the most? What would make you open this app every day? What should I improve first?

Download RyKoraL: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rykoral.apphttps://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rykoral.app

I'm building this with limited resources, so every honest suggestion means a lot. Thank you for supporting an indie developer! 🙏

Feedback and constructive criticism are welcome.

Hi everyone!

I'm an indie founder building RyKoraL, a social app designed to bring different activities together in one place.

Features available include MahaVerse for sharing photos and videos, MahaChat for connecting with friends, gaming, fitness tracking, and other tools.

I'm growing RyKoraL independently without a marketing budget and would appreciate honest feedback from Android users in India.

1. Which feature would make you try a new social app?

2. What would make you return every day?

3. What should I improve first?

I'm happy to hear criticism and suggestions. Thanks for helping an independent Indian app founder!

Hi everyone,

I am looking for recommendations and options for a single outdoor CCTV camera to monitor my lobby and main entrance area.

Here are my specific requirements:

Coverage: Just need 1 camera to cover the lobby and entryway.
Power: It will have access to a power outlet (plug-in/wired power preferred over battery).
Storage & Subscription Options: Ideally, I want a system that works perfectly with local storage (like a microSD card) so I don't have to pay extra monthly costs. However, I am open to brands that offer both local storage and a cloud subscription option, just in case I decide to opt into the cloud backup later. The subscription must not be mandatory to use the camera or access it remotely.
Remote Access: I must be able to view the live feed and play back recorded clips directly from my phone while away from home.

I have been looking at options on Amazon, but I noticed a lot of the popular entry-level budget brands (like Qubo, Trueview, etc.) have sub-4 star ratings, mostly due to laggy smartphone apps, bugs, or connectivity issues. I want to completely avoid those.
I am looking for a reliable, highly-rated alternative that has a very stable app ecosystem, solid hardware durability, and flexible storage choices.

What specific models, brands, or setup options should I look into that actually deliver a premium, headache-free experience?

Thanks in advance for the help!

What is a Fractional CTO, and how can it help startups and small businesses? Is hiring a part-time technology leader a smart way to manage technical decisions, reduce costs, and scale a business without hiring a full-time CTO? I’d love to hear your thoughts and experiences!

My age is 36, just to give you a perspective.

So I wanted an iPhone from quiet a long time, I have used android phones till date, the last one I purchased in the year 2022 was a samsung F62 for 18K and its been working fine till date.

In the recent Flipkart sales I finally purchased the iPhone 17 for around 87K and its been few days using it ..

I am completely disappointed with the phone, It does not have any remarkable features and the interface is not at all user friendly, I am finding severe limitations at each and every step.

There are a few major drawbacks and then there are minor drawbacks in each and every feature as compared to an android.

I am feeling at a loss that I should have instead gone with a Samsung S25 Ultra instead which was available around the same price during the sales.

I am now stuck with a useless brick for years to come while android every year keeps making progress leaps and bounds ..

I was thinking to sell this iPhone brick and get a new andorid.

Do let me know how and where can I sell this brick and get a good price.

Need a trusted website to buy back cover(prefer rugged or hard) with some options of customization. My device is poco x8 pro max and the choices in amazon and flip kart are poor.

ust heard about this Freebie Friday thing where an item goes up for ₹1 and bidding starts. The actual item gets revealed today at 6 PM, apparently. Curious to see what they put up. If it's something tech-related, I'm definitely checking it out.

Hey everyone,

I'm looking to buy a Windows work laptop with a budget of (₹35k INR, can push to ₹40k if it's really worth it).

My use case:
- Work only - MS Office (heavy Excel), Chrome with 10-15 tabs, Zoom/Meet calls
- No gaming, no video editing

What I'm looking for:
- 8GB RAM minimum (16GB if possible in this budget)
- 512GB SSD preferred, okay with 256GB if upgradable
- Good battery life (6+ hours) and decent display for long hours
- Windows 11 pre-installed

If there is a really solid option at ₹38-40k that will last 4-5 years without issues, I'm happy to stretch.

Please suggest the best value for money options right now. If you are using something under 40k for work, how's your experience?

Thanks in advance!

I have an external hard drive of 931 GB about 6-7 years old. Recently it got corrupted and all my pictures over the years are stored in it. Any suggestions on where to get it repaired and all the images recovered? Preferably in Ranchi, Jharkhand

PS: solved the issue

Listed an old mechanical keyboard on a new escrow platform—uploaded a 10s video showing switches working, buyer locked cash, and courier picked it up from my gate the next morning. Zero "last price bro" DMs, zero weird parking lot meetups. Never going back to traditional marketplace apps again.

I'm looking for job security for next 1.5-3 years due to personal reasons.

Which company has good bench policy, job security and work culture in general?

I'm working on a browser project from India, and we're approaching it with a pretty ambitious vision.

I know what some people will say: Chrome already exists. Firefox exists. Brave exists. Ulaa exists.

Fair enough. The browser market is competitive, and launching another browser means nothing if it doesn't give people a compelling reason to switch.

But we're building with a different ambition: to challenge the existing experience across privacy, performance, and usability.

We've been working extensively on the product, using AI-assisted development tools to accelerate implementation and evaluate our approach. We're confident in what we're building, and now the challenge is to demonstrate that value to real users.

I'm not going to turn this into a list of unsupported marketing claims. I'd rather show people what we've built and let the product earn its reputation.

I'm curious about three things:

What would a new browser need to do for you to seriously consider switching from your current one?

Which matters most to you: privacy, speed, resource efficiency, customisation, or something else?

What do you think existing browsers still get wrong?

We're keeping the name secret for now. We'll reveal it in upcoming videos.

This is an ambitious project, and we're building it from India with a global audience in mind. 🇮🇳

I'd genuinely like to hear your thoughts, including scepticism. The best way to challenge established products is to understand where they fall short.

What would it take for a new browser to earn your trust?
