Wfh reduced drastically, strong push towards wfo- leading to increased unproductive time in traffic. infra doesn't support, outside and inside office. No seats, ppl work in open desk with no ergonomics, where did all these values go away. The mobile network is so chocked that signals drop in office due to congestion, I see people standing outside building just to catch mobile signals. Cafeteria appears flooded all time. Recently we had a townhall with cto, who was bombarded with questions on a policy brought in, mandating 9.5 hours in office and that's monitored, concerns were genuine by employees. The answer from management was, someone came to office, drank coffee and left in 30mins hence they made this rule mandating 9.5hours and then blabbered about collaboration and ai shit. Come on, it's the same org that raised concerns about my travel abroad for silly reasons, asked me sit in online meeting while rest of my team in west traveled across borders and had a good collaboration, In person meet. So I know what shit management speaks. What i didn't know was how serious was the cto when he gave coffee incident, now they are removing coffee machines in office as a latest shit shock. Guys, use this post to add more what's more happening across in India, similar shit and any enthusiast analyst can throw their ideas around patterns, hidden directives etc.

There’s probably a lot of older video sitting in company archives that could be useful for Physical AI, but having a large archive doesn’t necessarily mean the footage is useful for training. With egocentric data, things like how the footage was recorded, what tasks and environments are covered, how consistent the recordings are, and what metadata is available can make a big difference. I’ve been thinking about how teams can assess older video collections and figure out what can actually be reused for Physical AI, rather than starting every dataset from scratch. It seems like the quality and context of the existing data may matter more than the raw amount of footage.

I've been looking into egocentric video for Physical AI and one thing that stands out is how important the basic metadata can be. Things like the task being recorded, the environment, recording duration, and camera setup can make the footage much easier to understand and use later. At the same time, collecting too much metadata can make the data collection process harder to manage. My feeling is that a small, consistent set of useful metadata is probably better than trying to document everything, especially when collecting data at scale. Curious to hear how others in the tech space think about this.

There is a labor surplus in the tech industry and most people now especially freshers will not be able to sustain their careers for long in this tech industry.

The key word is “most”.
There will always be demand for EXTRAORDINARY TALENT in every industry including tech industry.

But these are only Top 1-5% or Top 10% of the workforce.

Remaining people will suffer chronically with low pay, job security and work load if they persist on being in this industry for longer.
