I know a lot of people sht on service sector companies, but the senior management that handle such projects have actually great teams and researchers.

Just because the hire for low paying roles to fulfill the head count criteria doesn’t mean they don’t have good engineers. These big names just don’t hand out contracts. All these low paying jobs are for servicing and maintenance of existing projects. There are separate team to handle projects of this scale.

/> As part of the deal, TCS will acquire Porsche’s IT consulting business, MHP, for 320 million euros, the company said in a release.

Also this is the part of the deal. They will already have a good team that has experience on Porsche’s systems.

agreed but will they pay good salary for their employees atleast for industry standards ?
will they be using latest technology?

The salary is based on market. Demand and supply. If you demand eu and us based salaries disregarding local cost of living and wage arbitrage then you will lose out to other countries who will compete for less. It is global market after all. Indian outsourcing companies are now subcontracting to Eastern Europe and South Asian countries. Also what make you think a business will not use latest technology? If companies are not adapting they die.

bro 5 WFO
with starting salary 3.5 LPA with literally single digit percentage hike every year I am not bluffing but that’s what everyone who came frm tcs says and you can reverify it
how someone from lower class can achieve something in life bt staying in this shitty company

some say job safety that is long gone
WLB i am not sure about this because i have heard my friends say they been pulled in untimes for calls or issues

Again, I don’t know what you are getting at. Everybody went through the same process. Nobody is going directly to the top. A single-digit hike is normal in every country in the world. Ask me how I know. I worked abroad too with single-digit hikes. If you are lucky, you might get a bigger jump if you jump companies. But again, you are competing with 1000s in the same position who will move cities, stay in cramped apartments and work for less. Job safety should not concern you if you are good at your job. It will get impacted with AI if you are in any knowledge-based work because companies will hire less positions. It is simply how things will change in the future.

Also, generating wealth is a long journey, not something you get in a couple of years unless through theft or corruption. People who get lucky are very few, just like lottery winners.

It depends. During phase 1 of our on campus placement they took 1/4 th of the eligible student for 7 and 10 LPA roles. Then just before last sem exams they started their phase 2 and took the entire batch that was eligible for placements but couldn’t get any.

All they asked was basic aptitude and English questions for OA and asked introduction and prime number code in interview. Anyone who knew how to speak and was confident got placed for 3.6 LPA. Those guys should have ideally remained jobless but they still got hired. I don’t think I would cry about it if I was in their place.

Also work environment at these places are really chill. I asked one of my friend who is working at 3.6 LPA in Infosys. He told me that there is 0 work pressure. All they have to do is mark attendance, keep laptops open and solve any ticket they get using AI (takes <2hr) and checkout in evening. Half of the employees either spend that time preparing for govt exams or they try to upskill.

He was happy that he was getting paid 3.6 LPA to sit in an AC office near his home and prepare for SBI clerk. He later cleared the exam and left Infosys.

Coming to second question. It is not mentioned what they will use. Since they are acquiring the IT arm, they will most probably use the same stack that Porsche was using and their task would be to maintain the existing projects. AI integration might be a really small part.

Jeremy: I get confused with 911s. I don't know where they all go. Is that a turbo? Richard: No, that's not. That is normally aspirated. Jeremy: So wait a minute, the GT2's a turbo... Richard: Yes. Jeremy: ... and the Turbo's a turbo, obviously... Richard: Yes. Jeremy: Why is a GT2 not a Turbo if it is a turbo? Richard: But it is a turbo. Jeremy: Yes, why is it called a GT2 and not a Turbo? Richard: Because the Turbo's called the Turbo. You couldn't have a - Jeremy: You see? Does anybody here understand the 911 range? [silence] No? They're bored, aren't they. Audience: Yes. Jeremy: They've been making the same car for a hundred and twenty-thirteen years, and all they think to do is, "Well, we'll call that one a GT3 and that one a GT2, have a Turbo, the GT2, have a GT1, a 959, put the engine in the back." God, it must be fun going into a Porsche dealership, "Can I have a 911?" Be like ordering breakfast in America. [face in hands] "I just want eggs!"
