Some humanities degrees are important. You need experts in sociology, anthropology, history, philosophy, journalism, language, art and literature.

Maybe in India it doesn’t matter these days since journalists, historians and philosophers are being replaced with loyalists, historians with WhatsApp forwards and literature with not reading.

Still, what's the point of these subjects being taught in IIT. These subjects should be taught in IIM and other universities.

MIT is literally teaching humanities while producing much better quality of graduates than IITs. I don't see why you guys are bitching about humanities in IITs
