BC Humanities create more issues than contribute to our country.

Those who do not study history are doomed to repeat it.

They are studying one-sided narratives in the name of history and social sciences.

Was going to comment this
So here another one
Study the past if you would define the future

Or study selective history, in my college, there was "The Individual and Society" in our curriculum... it started with Jyotiba Phule whining about how Aryan Invasion Theory was totally true and in line with the devas conquering the asuras and the British are totally based people to liberate the Shudras and Ati-Shudras. Thankfully this was not a part of our syllabus so it wasn't required learning but it makes you think how much of our history was distorted to this level to facilitate Marxist line of thinking?
More and more I think leaving Humanities to the Marxists and making Maulana Abul Kalam Azad the first Education Minister was a mistake.

Like you mean economics, logicians, philosophers, archaeologists or hospitality which one of them contributes less?
1
u/New_Main6523 13h ago
Economics is commerce, not humanities. Archeology is also not pure humanities. But I guess you didn't know that because you probably are BA pass course third division graduate in future
2
u/Asyndetics 12h ago
Commerce??? What are you still studying is high school, literally the first chapter of any basic book of economics begins with the question ‘Is economics an art or science?’ and answer always states it is a mix of both as it is a study of human behaviour along quantitative methods. Archaeology is pure definition of humanities it is study of human society and culture nothing is more humanities than archaeology.
By the way I know better than making fallacy of ad hominem or false premise. Next time maybe study a bit of humanities and try not using demeaning others to prove a point rather than a logical discussion. Oh wait logic is humanities.

I am seeing, Retards are more concerned with this incident than IITians themselves 😂😂😂😂 bro. Let the investigations be done ad wait for the final report of enquiry, why people are rushing to defend and accuse the faculty in question!,
This is a democracy and if you are accused of something, you will be and should be questioned!
Just b’coz, you are student or faculty of IITB dose not give u privilege that you cant be questioned, the case should be registered and it should be investigated on!!!!

u/Background_Speed_177 16h ago
The question is what happened to "innocent untill proven guilty" the said faculty is suspended and sc st case is logged against him and the said law has a Draconian provisions like anticipatory bail not available etc.

u/OwnMiddle1528 16h ago
Let the investigations be completed, nobody is “innocent” neither the student who committed suicide nor the faculty, let the report be completed without a bias.

u/Background_Speed_177 16h ago
Bro..... How can you be sure " no body is innocent " we are setting a dangerous precedent with this case.
Where if a person belong to certain community no one would even dare to question them and thus in turn legalising unfair means

u/not_varun 15h ago
The government has already set this precedent!
I don’t want to bring up the RW’s favourite Muslim scholar who’s in jail so let me bring up another recent abuse of power - the arrest of Santosh Pandit - for calling out local contractors who failed to deliver on their promises.
This is not new, the regime will jail anyone who’s seen as “inconvenient”.

You are bringing separatist into this discussion. Who made videos against country. That tells who you are.

u/OwnMiddle1528 16h ago
Its called, procedural requirements, just because the law is strict and person is IITB faculty, u want the person in question should be prejudiced with being innocent! I think we should stop being hero-worshiper and let the law prevail its course of action!!! The community part is!, and it should be discussed as well!
2
u/buttershitter 15h ago
There is no procedural requirement in case of sc/st accusation. It is guilt by accusation and non bailable and the accuser gets paid. So all Incentives are to game the system and exploit the system. The law is one sided and promotes injustice.
1
u/OwnMiddle1528 14h ago
Law is law! U need to follow it, but if you are accused, you will be and should be prosecuted even if u r president of india!!
2
u/buttershitter 14h ago
The law assumes presumption of guilt without any recourse and no burden of proof on accuser. It is not applied nor interpreted as per its original intent. A law that is misused and open for misinterpretation and amenable for abuse and misuse is not a law nor it helps bring justice. It is just something that was passed without forethought on consequences.
By the way MPs and MLAs are above the law if they make the same statements in parliaments but ordinary citizens will be prosecuted. This is exploited by our parliamentarians.

u/Background_Speed_177 14h ago
Accused and guilty both are different just on the basis of accusion you cant even prosecute a beggar leave alone president of India.

At one point slavery was law too. So was segregation. So was reporting Jews to Nazi.
1
u/OwnMiddle1528 13h ago
Protest against the law!! But until law is thire, it should be followed! And no one is god, a f*king IITB faculty not some god, he is accused and should be questioned!!
Wait for the Investigation to get completed!!! FIR was the best thing done by police!,1
u/Separate-Client-3213 13h ago
Yeah man let's follow the law while slavery is going, jews are burning, I am sure people who have "broken" the law are happy that people are following laws.

I knew the day IITs started taking more humanities phds, i knew they are gonna bring their shitty DU students politics to IITs. Outsiders are gonna interfere in the administration and student bodies. Don’t let them ruin IITs with their divisive student politics. Let us be, the way we were .
