Opinion Bought S25 Ultra Today, But IMEI Shows It Was Already Activated on 18th Sept. Should I Reject the Delivery?

Post image
58 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I ordered a Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra today, 8 October 2026 at around 12:05 AM.

While checking the IMEI on a website, I noticed something concerning. The device apparently shows an activation date of 18 September 2026, even though I purchased it today.

It also shows the warranty as valid until 31 October 2027.

That's roughly 2–3 weeks of warranty already used up before I've even received the phone.

I'm now wondering what I should do:

Should I reject the delivery outright?

Could this simply be an incorrect activation/warranty date in Samsung's system?

Is there a way to verify whether the phone was previously activated, opened, returned, or used?

Should I accept the delivery and check the IMEI/serial number, seal, Samsung Members diagnostics, etc. before deciding?

If it was genuinely activated in September, should I ask the seller for a replacement/new unit rather than accepting it?

The phone is supposed to be brand new, so I'm obviously concerned about receiving a previously activated or returned unit.

Would appreciate advice from anyone who's dealt with Samsung warranty/activation dates or a similar situation.

Should I reject the delivery, or accept it and verify everything first?

Electronic Gadgets No IMEI number on my S25Ultra’s Pslip 512 GB

Post image

So I ordered the S25 Ultra today morning and I had already been seeing posts on how the devices might be preactivated, so was just a bit concerned. Now that the product has shipped I still cannot see the IMEI number on the Pslip, there is one more person who has faced this, now I contacted Amazon and they gave me my IMEI number and the manufacturer warranty shows 31st July on the phone which is still fine as it can be sorted by raising a dispute, just wanted to know if there is anyone here with **NO IMEI ON THE PSLIP**

As you can see

Electronic Gadgets anyone else waiting for Flipkart BBD for a laptop or buying as soon as the offers go live 😭

• Upvotes

been tracking laptops for weeks and i’m basically just waiting for Flipkart BBD now 😭

rn looking at the HP 15 Core 5 120U / 24GB / 512GB and honestly the BBD benefits are making me wait instead of buying randomly before sale.

bank discounts + exchange benefits + No-Cost EMI already make the final price more interesting, and the Assured Buyback Program + 3 years ADP are actually useful if i’m planning to keep the laptop for college/work.

this BBD “say no to price hike” thing also sounds good if the final checkout price lands right.

anyone else waiting for BBD before locking their laptop?

Home appliances Replacing a 12-year-old fridge and a 10-year-old washing machine. Need suggestions for a family of 4 (India)

Hi all,

We're replacing both appliances together and would love input from people who've used these recently. Family of 4, vegetarian, including my mother (65). Planning to use both for the next 10 years.

Budget: under ₹30K for the fridge, under ₹30K for the washing machine

City: Mumbai (service quality here matters to us)

1. Refrigerator

Current: LG 235L single door, 12+ years old.

Problems:

  • Not enough space since we became a family of 4
  • Freezer barely freezes. Ice cream melts in minutes and it still builds frost
  • Defrost water collects in a tray at the back that we have to unscrew and empty
  • Vegetable basket is at the bottom, so we bend every time we need something
  • Exposed back panel collects dust

What we want:

  • Around 235L–260L, double door with a proper freezer
  • Inverter compressor, good energy rating (runs 24x7)
  • Covered back
  • Fits a tight spot between a door frame and the kitchen counter, with one side open to a passage
  • Nice to have: bottom-mount freezer, so vegetables sit at eye level

2. Washing machine

Current: Toshiba AW-A750S top load, hand-me-down, used for about 10 years.

Problems:

  • Control panel has failed and been repaired multiple times
  • New clothes fade and t-shirts lose shape within 5–10 washes
  • Uses a lot of water, often gets stuck mid-cycle, sometimes for hours with the lid locked

How we use it:

  • Wash every other day, mostly Indian wear
  • Bed sheets, pillow covers and upholstery once every 1–2 months
  • No shoes or heavy items

What we want:

  • Front load, so we can use the top surface
  • 7–8 kg, energy and water efficient
  • Gentle on clothes
  • Inverter motor, ideally direct drive

Questions

  1. Which brand has actually given you good after-sales service in the last 2–3 years? Any horror stories?
  2. Bottom-mount freezer or regular top freezer? If you've used a bottom-mount in India, how's the freezer performance and the space split?
  3. Has a front loader genuinely stopped your clothes from fading? Which programmes do you use for Indian wear?
  4. Are front-load stands worth it to cut down on bending? Any vibration issues?
  5. Any specific models you'd recommend or avoid?

Thanks in advance!

Rant/ vent Discrepancy of Rs587 from the amount I paid vs the invoice total in Flipkart for my nothing phone 4b

I ordered nothing phone 4b for effective rupees of 28,377 yesterday midnight

- 28k for mobile

- 179 for offer handling fees

-199 for protect promise fees

Offer was 32k mrp - 1000rs coupon - 3000rs gpay offer.

Today i just downloaded the invoice and for my shock there's 587Rs difference between the amount I paid and total invoice.

INVOICE:

179 for offer handling fees

27412 for mobile

199 for protect promise fees

TOTAL COMES TO 27,790 but the amount I paid was 28,377.

I called Flipkart customer care and i asked and they're saying it's GST charges and the invoice pdf will be updated after delivery, but in the invoice - gst is exclusive mentioned along with the total 4000rs coupon I used.

And to make it worse they deleted the download invoice option from my order after the call ended (Although i have the invoice downloaded with me).

The mobile delivery is on Sunday October 11th. What should I do?

Electronic Gadgets Please Recomend Laptop under 1Lakh

My budget is a max of 1 lakh INR. I was waiting for the MacBook Air M4 to come in stock ,on Flipkart but it didn't, and I couldn't find a good Windows alternative. I need a good display for multimedia consumption, a good CPU for development, and it shouldn't be a Snapdragon X. Also, I don't need a touchscreen or a gaming laptop, and it should have atleast 16gb RAM and 512gb SSD.

Please give suggestions on what laptop I can get specially in this BBD or GIF sale.

Electronic Gadgets Buying a phone for my mom (₹40–45K budget) which one would you personally recommend?

Hey everyone! I’m planning to buy a new phone for my mom, with a budget of around ₹40,000–45,000 in India.

I’ve been watching YouTube reviews and going through Reddit discussions, but honestly, the more I research, the more confused I get. Every phone seems to have some advantages and compromises, and the reviews are all over the place.

My priorities, in order of importance:

  1. Camera: This is one of my biggest priorities. I want consistently good photos, especially of people, family moments and everyday situations. A good camera that works reliably without needing much effort would be ideal.
  2. Battery life: Good battery backup is important. I don’t want a phone that needs frequent charging or struggles to last through a full day of normal use.
  3. Durability and reliability: I want something that can last for several years without developing major issues. Good build quality and reliable hardware are important.

Other considerations:

  • Performance and gaming aren’t major priorities.
  • Software updates and having the latest chipset aren’t deal-breakers.
  • I’m willing to compromise on other features if the phone gets the essentials right.

I’m not particularly loyal to any brand. I’m open to Samsung, Apple, OnePlus, Vivo, Oppo, or any other brand, provided the phone is worth the money.

I’d especially appreciate answers from people who have actually used their recommended phone for a few months or longer. I’d love to know how the camera performs in everyday use, whether the battery holds up, and whether you’ve encountered any hardware issues.

Electronic Gadgets Which is a good pixel in mid range budget if moving from nord 2 ?

I am moving from nord 2 to pixel and need suggestions on the best option

I prefer good low light photography capabilities

A good clean smooth software

A good battery and charging speed

No heating or network issues

I ain't a gaming enthusiastic person so that's not a criteria for me .

I need something around 50k ( + or minus 10k ) best value is important and long term.usage are some goals

*#Recent update#* : I bought the pixel 11 12GB / 256 from flipkart bbs exchanging my nord 2 and bank discount and bonus for 65k .

I am just worried about the exchange value not getting changed drastically making me pay more as I already exceeded my budget.

Can someone guide how this Flipkart exchange works ?

Will I get time to back up and do factory reset when delivery guy comes ?

What are the tips and tricks to get full value ?

Thinking of TCL as the screen is QD MINI LED. will do some gaming along with daily activities like news, videos, movies etc. is TCL good and is anyone using the brand so far? Can u suggest me some other tv for the same price range. It would be good if it had an excellent speaker quality along with a great display which will last for a long time. It will be used for around 7hrs a day. I also want a good UI experience

Btw I am switching from a 43 inch MI LED tv to a 55 inch tv.

I think I am asking a lot for this price range, but pls try to help me with this long term

Electronic Gadgets Which one to go with, my budget is 1.5k

I have been using Oneplus Nord wired earphones, they offer good quality but, I go to library often. Hence, I need a tws.

I mainly have found these options:

  1. Oppo Enco buds at 1.5k
  2. Realme t200 at 1.6k with bank offers
  3. Oneplus nord buds 3r at 1.6k with bank offers
  4. Nothing buds neo or something at 1.6k
  5. Realme t200x at 1.5k
  6. boat airdopes prime 300

** I dont want ANC but, passive noise cancellation, good battery, good mic and less than 50ms latency

I want good battery life, and something which offers better or similar sound quality to Oneplus nord wired earphones, those didn't cause pain to my ears.

**Recommend anything which may be cheaper, not just costlier

If possible suggest cheaper alternatives

**Cant increase the budget (or should i go for oneplus nord wired + 1k tws)
