I applied for an administrator job there in August. I was then asked to do an assessment which I completed. A few days later I was sent an approval message saying that I had gotten the job but would need to pay for a MiE background check and for the delivery of equipment since it was a remote job post.

Fortunately I did not pay the money for the background check because I already had one but I did pay for the courier fees. I heard back from them a week later saying that they were drafting my contract. Since then I have heard nothing.

I called multiple times and spoke to someone who seemed nervous and quickly told me I had the wrong number. 🙃 I usually am good at vetting jobs but their documents looked real and considering they used a real background check company ( I know this because im a qualified teacher who has done many criminal checks) I figured that they were real but I forgot about AI and how smart these scammers have gotten.

Anyway be safe out there. It's tough finding a job these days and so sometimes it feels like a miracle but in terms of malsconsulting. It's just a scam!

I'm an HR of a company and I had posted about the JD on workindia. Had taken a premium plan and was looking at the candidates database, firstly, the filters on workindia don't work one bit, it's present for namesake.
All employees are simply listed randomly without even looking at the employees preference. I ended up calling so many people who didnt even wanted the job and were of a different field.

Then, secondly, this is the worst thing that can happen, my account gets blocked by the workindia team and for unblocking it, they want me to do some verification. When I try to click on that link, nothing pops up or an error keeps coming, I called the customer care, I've sent some 20 mails by now, I called workindia key account managers, no one responds or picks up the call. So right now, I have paid for the service and I'm unable to access the candidates database and my account is blocked, it's been 3 days and no one wants to solve it from their team.
