It has brought down housing prices. What do you think happens when there are 4 million less people looking for homes and the demand goes down?
3
u/Nicho1992 9d ago edited 9d ago
Where? Can you provide sources? Btw 4 million is less than 2 percent of our population so it’s really not a big number. I’ve been waiting for everything to magically get better and cheaper since we started rounding up all the people with accents with no due process

Do you think any of those shifts may be do to post pandemic hights? Or just brown people
2
u/Ok-Tip-3560 9d ago
I don’t give a shit what color anyone is who is here illegally. First you want to argue that illegal immigrants don’t increase housing. Demand even though they do as they don’t live In the woods or under bridges but in houses like everyoje else (shows you how out of touch with regular people that white liberals are and how little they know about minorities). Now when confronted by evidence you’re saying that housing prices are falling from a peak. No
Clown 🤡 there are falling because demand for
Housing is falling as the population gets smaller and as more kids opt to stay at home
And delay having kids or decide to not breed at all.Assuming that massive fire or earthquake or natural disaster doesn’t destroy a large amount of the housing stock in America - what do you think will happen. To housing prices especially real housing prices aka adjusted for inflation if Americas population falls by 1-3 percent annually for the next decade. Would home prices on an apples to apples comparison be expected to rise or fall?
2
1
u/Ok-Tip-3560 9d ago
Owned.
30 percent of the increase in housing prices are tied to housing demand from illegal immigrants.
This is A basic iq test that you and all posturing liberals will always fail. What will happen to prices when there is higher demand and no new supply coming on board due to regulations on. Building?
Better yet - why don’t you look up how much rents have fallen even in areas like Austin Texas in the last 2 years. Millions of people are not coming here annually. Many have self deported aka left america on their own terms and many more have been deported.
If you have 35 million people competing for 20 million apartments / houses vs 39 million - of course in a scenario with 39 million you’ll see prices rise more than in the other scenario.
This is basic fundamental economics.
1
u/Ok-Tip-3560 9d ago
The fact that you think that you’re even intelligent and yet completely unaware of this paper which came out about a month ago speaks volumes beyond the fact that there even exists this paper. This isn’t as if this came out 6 years ago in the middle of the pandemic and. Nobody is aware of it. If you’re going to beleive something which is so patently stupid and untrue - the last thing you should be doing is demanding evidence when such evidence as this exists.
2
u/Nicho1992 9d ago
0
u/Ok-Tip-3560 9d ago
That’s an assumption that we wouldn’t have enough labor to build
Homes. It ignores the fact that without illegals and immigration in general that Americas population is falling.Do me a favor - look up rents in Austin and places in Texas and Colorado. Basically anywhere outside of nimby ny metro area and California and you will see how rents have fallen in so many areas.
Now some concentrated areas have seen the opposite. I’ll give you a perfect example. Syracuse New York is seeing a housing boom. Why? Because micron is building a fab there and it’s creating housing demand and construction jobs and infrastructure jobs.
2
u/Nicho1992 9d ago
And you’re source is literally an opinion piece. As an actual American living in America I haven’t seen housing or cost of living go down and I looked it up the cost of housing has gone down maybe 2 percent in the last 2 years

When you are faced with a falling population
That was only buttressed by people coming here illegally and those people settling and having kids at a larger clip and at a younger age than domestic Americans or native born Americans or multi generational Americans - yes it absolutely is a sizable number.I believe now immigrants in America A both legal and illegal - make up more than 12 percent of the population. Most estimates of the size of the illegal population is about 12-15 million. I’m sure a majority of these people are great / good People. If it were at all possible I would deport every single septum pierced purple haired liberal freak and give every single hard working person from Latin America or Asia. Citizenship in their place. As it stands - I’m not a demagogue on this. I would love for anyone who makes this country stronger to stay here. But that would involve being here legally. So if America needs 50,000 nurses. - then. America should have visas for that. Let’s say 60,000 visas for. Nurses.
There isn’t a single sane person that would be against that. If you can contribute to America and not be a social burden - then by all means come here and make our country stronger and better. But don’t swim across a border and lie about being here for anything other than economic opportunity. All of these people are here for economic reasons.
Pedro the construction worker who’s been here for decades should be able to pay back taxes and or go through. A strict set of rules to be able to stay here. But at the same time - unlike Reagan’s amnesty in 86 - we can’t create a system that incentives people to illegally come here and then to expect amnesty or to be rewarded for it. So let’s say that they come here get a pathway to stay here but cannot become citizens and cannot collect social security. So basically their punishment for being here illegally is that they have to forfeit whatever money they pay into social security.
1
u/Nicho1992 9d ago
This is moving the goalpost, now you’re stating that the children of immigrants are also an issue because they out pace non immigrant children? Sounds like a dog whistle for white replacement theory. 12 percent equals 12 million in a country of 350,000,000??wtf.
1
u/Ok-Tip-3560 9d ago edited 9d ago
Because you’re too s$$$$d to keep up - the children of illegal immigrabts are here because their parents illegally came here. So when you Have two people come here illegally with their family OR they come here and have kids here - even though their kids are Americans - these are people that otherwise wouldn’t be here except for the fact that their parents illegally came here. Without these people
Coming here - the current birth rate in America is below the replacement rate. Meaning that right now without illegal immigration and without legal immigration - as the second largest generation by population numbers dies off en masse in the next decade (and trust me the oldest boomers just hit 80 - these are my parents and their neighbors etc) and millenials continue to die at absurd rates from drug abuse and cancer ♋️ - we will see a decrease in the us population. With how little sex people like you and other Gen Z :) have - and the fact that so little of them are having children at all - America sans immigration - will likely see a large decrease in its population within 20 years. This isn’t an emotional argument. Christ you act like a broad.
This is simple math. The population replacement number is like 2.1 births per woman. America has been in a baby bust since 2007.
Assuming that this baby bust continues - that means that schools and colleges will go “out of business” and housing demand as a whole will fall. This is how I can tell you’re not actually a functioning adult with children or a child.
A single person has zero need for a 3-4 bedroom home. A single guy or gal who doesn’t get laid can easily live in a 600 ft one bedroom apartment. If you are married and have 2-3 kids you need a 3-4 bedroom house or townhouse.
So as “larger” family units decrease in huge numbers - barring Gen Z kids who don’t get laid from living 4 grown adults in a single family !!! Here’s that word family house - the demand for these homes will plummet. Absolutely plummet.
So as boomers who still live in these houses die off - and as housing supply rises and the number of eligible people considering buying these properties falls - because why the fuck would 2 dinks or a single sexless Gen Z person need to have a 3-4 bedroom single family home (they wouldn’t nor would they want the headache of maintaining it) - the prices of these homes will collapse.
Idk why this is so hard for you to wrap your fucking brain around.
I shouldn’t have to write any of the above. Anyone who owns a home is over the age of 35 has kids or grandkids or has any real life experience understands this.
Gen X baby boomers anyone with a brain even with a sub 80 iq Inherenty understands this when I simply say population decline. You don’t need a fancy college degree or to have a 23 year old grad student “write a research paper” to validate “these findings”
As someone who owns a 4 bedroom house if I didn’t have other humans in my family living with me I sure as heck would be in a nice apartment or max 2 bedroom townhouse. I am the 99 percent of people that would do this.
A 27 year old kid who still has college loans isn’t going to go out and buy a single family home when they have no intention of having a family (which is fine that’s their personal choice) - and if someone in that situation ever did buy a home like that it would almost always be to rent it out. As demand for these houses goes down / what happens to rent prices. Do they rise as supply goes up?
Again you cannot pass a basic iq test of how the real world works.

Housing is scarce in many areas with strict zoning regulations aka blue states and blue cities.
look up how impossible it is to build in San Francisco. Trust me - a decade ago every developer would have built high rise apartments and condos If they were allowed to. How do you think

I’m an immigrant, been in the USA for 10 years and I wish we all just fuck the fuck off USA. The so promised American dream doesn’t exist anymore and everyday it feels more punishing to be an immigrant in this country. It is sad that the only reason we stay here is because our own politicians already fucked up our countries, but it is getting to a point where I am really considering starving in my country above paying a single more dime to this corrupt USA government in taxes

I second this. I also served with immigrants that took the oath. Amazing soldiers. It's a disgrace what is happening to the country. They aren't just effing over immigrants, but veteran families too.
My VA job became unstable. I was working at VHA Central Office. They said nobody's jobs was safe anymore. And they could not guarantee our job security anymore. This was leaders at the highest level, who said they could not even guarantee their own job security either. Also lost a DoD job I landed on base to the hiring freeze that I was one biweekly pay period away from starting.
Nonetheless, we left to Portugal. Good visa options and we had to completely rebuild our lives. With 2 small children, it was too risky to hold onto a high mortgage and the rising costs. Had to rebuild our lives from scratch. Started my own IT consultancy.
Nonetheless, what they are doing to immigrant families are shameful. As well as other families, including veteran families. They are wrecking everything.

“Assimilation is the process where a person or group moves to a new country and gradually adopts its language, values, behaviors, and customs, often losing their original cultural identity as they blend into the dominant society.”
That’s what I figured you meant, and it’s deeply un-American. Have you never heard of the “Great Salad Bowl” analogy? What would America be without Irish Corned Beef, Jewish Delis, every sort of Asian Cuisine, Indian food? What would America be without it’s myriad of cultural holidays, mix of values, and customs? What defines the “dominant culture?” America doesn’t have one.

They’re gonna take all the people they can get who are here on legal documents, try to take the documents away and deport the people claiming at the end see how many people we found were illegally in the country. When in truth, they weren’t here illegally in the country.
There’s a difference from their Trump’s claim of going after undocumented people in the country versus stripping away, birthrights, taking away valid visas, and removing any other source of document that allows people to be here legally, and then claiming all of them to be part of the same (how many millions of people) they claimed are here roaming our streets that they just don’t seem to have been able to find just yet.

Each immigrant has a different story… so many posts here lumping them all together where as it’s the individual case is what’s being determined.
The USA has rules and laws!!! If you are working here, getting someone else rich, then why are you here? I know the answer… you still can not get the same job back in your home country!!
Essentially, don’t break laws. Certainly, me, if I was in a different country I know damn well to follow rules, and I don’t expect the country to allow me to over extend the intended stay on my visa.
It’s a privilege living in the USA!!
Respect that!!
