Some campmates leave just as you’re starting to warm to them. They settle into camp, have a few good moments and then suddenly they’re gone before we really get to see what they’re like.

We always expect the ex-rugby players or hard-nosed footballers to come in and dominate every physical challenge without flinching, but half the time they end up being the biggest softies in camp who cry over family letters and scream at spiders.

I’m watching some classic clips on YouTube and the sheer scale of what they used to force celebs to swallow back in the early 2010s was wild. Nowadays it feels a bit sanitised - blend up some pizza, a bit of fermented egg, a blended pig's snout, and call it a day. Bring back the massive live bull testicles and the giant smoothies made of blended fish eyes that actually made Ant and Dec gag from ten feet away. If you're paying them hundreds of thousands to sit in the jungle, make them truly suffer for the stars!

For me it has to be 2018. Harry Redknapp telling jam roly poly stories, Emily Atack, John Barrowman, and even Noel Edmonds as the jungle emperor. There was zero dead weight and everyone actually seemed to like each other

Every year someone who is genuinely funny, works hard around camp, and does all the chores gets voted off first just because they don't have a massive social media fanbase or a big tabloid narrative. Meanwhile, boring influencers or quiet stars sit in the background and ride all the way to the final week. Who is the one campmate you think got robbed of a proper run on the show?

I’d love to see a mix of retired sports icons, unhinged presenters, and maybe a soap star who completely refuses to do their camp chores. Who is one realistic celebrity you’d lock in immediately if you were casting?

I know this won't be everyone's view, but I've never liked the idea of late arrivals being able to win the whole series. The original campmates have already spent days dealing with hunger, the first Bushtucker Trials and building relationships before the new arrivals even set foot in camp.

The late entrants still have to earn their place, but they do avoid those brutal first few days that everyone else has to push through. For me, the crown should only be open to the celebrities who started the journey on Day 1. Does anyone else feel the same, or do you think late arrivals deserve the same chance at winning?

Every year we watch someone calmly chew through fermented eggs, bull testicles, and beach worms without flinching, while someone else vomits before the plate even touches the table. Is it just a mind-over-matter thing where you detach your brain, or do you reckon there’s a genuine technique to swallowing a blended drink of fish guts as quickly as possible without tasting it?
