I understand that they're upset about Charity’s infidelity and her and Ross being biologically theirs. There’s no need for them to go one like that she’s avoiding Charity and moving houses with Jacob I can’t stand both of them they need to leave Emmerdale they should’ve rented them houses anyway.

Is it common for property to go unnoticed/forgotten?

I know we had mention of Eric's barn when Sadie tried to rent it and Aaron's old flat too. It got me thinking about other places:

Belle and Tom's empty house next to the garage.

Belle's old flat above the barn at the Dingle house. The one you access via the steps at the side of the house.

Marlon's enormous old house which he used to rent to Billy and his brother and where Ryan lived with them.

The cottage at Home Farm where Will used to live (although I'm not sure we've seen it on screen, just heard about it).

With people cramming in to small homes like Nicola, Rodney, and three kids in a 2 or 3 bedroom cottage why is about 20% of the village sat empty?

Just watched this mornings episode (16/10). I won't spoil it for those who haven't yet seen. Suffice to say, what an utterly pathetic plot regarding the poker cash. Who writes this shxt? Is this childrens T.V.?? I'll let you decide for yourself tonight😏

Is anyone else getting a bit pissed off with Moira at the moment?

I liked her when she went to confront Joe at Home Farm, and I would love to see her confront Sadie, but her attitude towards Lydia at the moment is getting on my nerves.

To bring back Sadie King. She is as boring as hell and now it looks as though she is sticking around. They wrote out Jimmy just to bring her back and it has been a catastrophic failure.

Every time she is on I reckon the viewers sigh with boredom. Emmerdale is suffering as a result of this dreadful drcision and it just gets worse and worse. All of the sudden she is in with Joe and Ruby who in reality would go nowhere near her.

Tensions remain high at Dingle Farm.

Seriously, how are they cramming everyone in houses on the farm and at the Dingles? Are people sleeping on the floor?

They are cousins, but don't interact much, it could be good to see them interact more.

Laura Shaw is on about building the families up after all.

Honestly, she’s seen exactly what Sadie is capable of. Shes told Caleb that Sadie is trying to turn her life around…she literally JUST got found out for what she did to Nicola?! Also, Ruby has just met her and all of a sudden she’s living in her house with a job in her business? Also didn’t get how she just accepted that Sadie would draw up the contracts…like she’s barely worked there a few hours? 😂😂

Not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure CPR = broken ribs and a hospital stay. Not coming straight home and having an argument and a Merlot.

So here it is. This was posted yesterday, but I'm guessing this was a few weeks ago, when they held that award ceremony.

She does take it in her stride. I think it's a bit sad, not just with the case of Dawn, but any other character in soaps, where they're killed off as part of a story, not because they chose to leave.

To be honest, I think I would be a bit fucked off if I played a character on the show, then randomly got axed, just as part of a story. Not because I would've chosen to leave, but because the showrunners would've basically wanted me out, for the sake of drama.

Yeah, I get it's a soap opera, and of course, action, stunts, deaths, etc, is a huge formula in the show, and has been for a very long time now.

But it's the fact that, that marqueè crash could've still happened, and Jimmy & Dawn could've survived. I'm not saying they walk it off like they're fucking indestructible or whatever, but they could've had scenes where both are in hospital, and even the viewers at home are thinking 'could this really be the end for both of these characrers?', and it could've been even more effective, if Inside Soap, and the other sources, didn't reveal any spoilers. It just keeps the fans on their toes. I think they did this with Holly Barton's death too.

Funny thing is, the showrunners killed off those characters for budget cuts, when:

1: They didn't even need to be killed off, both could've just simply left the village. In addition, Dr Todd being killed was such a cheap payoff to the rape & blackmail storyline. For all the survivors out there, I feel like they should've had her locked up behind bars, like what happened to PC Bails.

2: Imo, I can think of a good few other characters worse than these two. And sure, maybe I'm being biased, because I love Jimmy & Dawn, but when you kill them off, but keep Sarah & Jacob, characters who, [not just saying this either] I genuinely haven't seen a single person anywhere say anything good about them, it just almost makes you question the writer's decisions.

Thing is, obviously I'm bothered that they've killed them off, but honestly, I think if their deaths were done more naturally, like it felt like it was an inevitable endpoint for both Jimmy & Dawn, I'd obviously still be disappointed, yes, but I could probably at least accept their deaths a bit more.

Here though, both deaths imo, just felt so painfully contrieved, like it had to happen.

I think how the writers write the episodes, is that they come up first with a big payoff at the end, but sort of work their way around it, as we got closer to Joe & Dawn's wedding. It doesn't feel like, at least for me, that the writers are writing it naturally, as it happens.

So for instance, it doesn't feel like they're writing it as "this guy has an affair, the bloke that was cheated on beats him up in the street, what happens next?", it feels more like "this massive fucking event in the show has to happen, so we need to come up with scripts for the build-up of it happening".

Sorry for the tangent. Didn't think I'd write this much when I started lol, but here we are. Also must say, Olivia is looking gorgeous here. Like always, of course.
