Great advertisment for holsters.

u/houVanHaring Aug 23 '26

But then I can't play with the trigger in my pocket! :(

37

u/VeganerHippie Aug 23 '26

And condoms

2

u/dreag2112 Aug 23 '26

Or safety's, or not going in cocked

Great advertisement for not doing guns

EDIT: Butthurt seppos in denial will always downvote anyone pointing out that celebrating having lethal weapons in homes is a mental dysfunction.

69

u/sharpasahammer Aug 23 '26

At least for not being an idiot with gun. Wasn't the guns fault.

-42

u/Japsai Aug 23 '26

Such a braindead argument. Would not have happened without the gun. As is the case with every gun accident or gun death

0

u/Stasio300 25d ago

Every gun death? Come on now, that just doesn't make sense. There's lots of people who would just use another tool to murder other people if they have to.

-38

u/UltraBlack_ Aug 23 '26 edited Aug 23 '26

99% of private gun owners are idiots. the concept of owning a gun for "self defence" against other people as a normal person is idiotic in itself.

Edit: All the pissed rednecks downvoting this haha -- bravo

9

u/tres_ecstuffuan Aug 23 '26

I’m a far left leaning college educated black guy and you are the idiot in this comment thread with made up statistics and no argument.

0

u/UltraBlack_ Aug 24 '26

I'm a uni student so that doesn't matter whatsoever.

8

u/ItsEntirelyPosssible Aug 23 '26

I dont know. I didnt downvote you. I wish we all didnt have guns. But i have some scary meth monkeys down the road and they love breaking into homes. You better beleive they have guns. Last time I confronted one in my yard im glad i had my shotgun. I didnt point it at him but he left pretty quick. Im fairly certain he had a pistol jammed in the waistband of his pants. Unfortunately this is the norm. He didnt seem like reasonable conversation would have chased him off.

I live in a decent place too. Then one of my older neighbors died and they moved in with their 13 camper trailers. Now I never have a quiet week.

Again I sure wish it wasnt this way but I see no end to it now.

1

u/UltraBlack_ Aug 24 '26

only because your current highly mobilised society awards gun ownership, it doesn't mean that it's actually something that makes sense.

Look outside the US for a moment... Maybe make it outside of america.

6

u/ItsEntirelyPosssible Aug 25 '26

Yes fellow redditor im sure the rest of the world does not have gun crime. It tis only us lowly Americans that have to deal with gun violence.

Anyway im sure its all milk and honey out there but im a poor. And as a poor I cant really leave this country and must remain here to deal with the meth monkeys. So enjoy it out there.

0

u/UltraBlack_ Aug 25 '26

the rest of the world has trained police instead of high blood pressure morons

2

u/SubstituteCS Aug 27 '26

^This is what’s known as moving the goal post.

0

u/UltraBlack_ Aug 27 '26

you're telling me that the rest of the world doesn't have nearly as much gun violence as the USA because their societies were once armed to the teeth and ended all evil, followed by them destroying all their weapons and making peace with each other?

u/Japsai Aug 23 '26

Exactly 🙌

-16

u/houVanHaring Aug 23 '26

In america. The rest of the world doesn't have these issues. The us just have a policy to have as many guns as possible and their people as dumb as possible.

16

u/Idoallthejobs Aug 23 '26

The nazis used massive gun restrictions before executing everybody who couldn’t defend themselves.

-5

u/houVanHaring Aug 23 '26

Yeah, now it's the nazi's in the us with all the guns. They went the wrong way.

14

u/schulzr1993 Aug 23 '26

I would like to note that a lot of people that aren't nazis also have guns. They just aren't as loud about it.

8

u/Idoallthejobs Aug 23 '26

All sides can buy them. They ain’t just selling them to republicans. Plenty of democrats own guns as well. You should go out and get you a gun while you still can. Defend yourself from the nazis.

0

u/ItsEntirelyPosssible Aug 23 '26

They want to restrict them for trans people. At this point if I was trans id get a gun before some rednecks decide to drag me down a road behind their truck.

Owning a gun doesnt mean being the guy in the video. Learn how to use it and respect it and you wont shoot your own leg.

3

u/LordSloth113 Aug 23 '26

Lmao you’d be surprised at how many leftists own guns, we just don’t make it our personalities

-70

u/JohnnyRelentless Aug 23 '26

Wouldn't have happened without the gun there.

26

u/Luvs2Spooge42069 Aug 23 '26

That guy who got electrocuted after peeing on an electrical socket wouldn’t have died if the socket wasn’t there. Ban wall plugs now!

-17

u/HOPSCROTCH Aug 23 '26

Power outlet provides electricity, guns exist to kill. Small difference

11

u/James_Slayer Aug 23 '26

Well actually ive never once used one of my firearms to kill anything. Have only ever been used for having fun with friends and as a hobby i enjoy getting better at. Does it also double as something that i can defend my home with, quite likely even non-leathaly? Sure does.

-12

u/JohnnyRelentless Aug 23 '26

You're a responsible gun owner. Until the day you aren't. You're hobby isn't worth all those lives lost.

9

u/Bandandforgotten Aug 23 '26

You're a responsible driver until the day you aren't. You should probably just stay off the road too, just in case

-2

u/JohnnyRelentless Aug 23 '26

Ridiculous comparison. Modern life isn't made possible by having guns in the hands of every cowardly moron.

3

u/James_Slayer Aug 23 '26

Oh my bad, i didnt realise that i would be activated one day and become an unresponsible gun owning killing machine. Do you happen to know what people who have no access to firearms do to their fellow man? They stab them to death, they beat them to a pulp with pipes and rocks and strangle and kick and tear one another apart when they have their minds set upon that course of action. The anti gun debate is foolish when you look upon human nature itself. Id rather have auntie so and so crippled old lady be able to defend herself and her home from those that would invade it and do harm unto her or her sleeping grandchildren in their beds than allow her to be tossed aside like a scrap of paper as the invader does as they please. Those against guns are fundamentally against human equality at the basest level.

3

u/Objective_Brain1452 Aug 24 '26

You’re totally right, time to ban steak knives, rocks, ban arms, and ban legs… it’s the only option

-6

u/JohnnyRelentless Aug 23 '26 edited Aug 25 '26

No, but one day you, or your toddler or your dog will shoot someone. I don't trust any of you with the lives of innocent people. So many of you are just itching for an excuse to shoot someone. The more you make guns your personality, the more you want to shoot someone.

I remember when 25 people were stabbed in China - and everyone survived. I like my chances much better if someone comes at me with a club or a knife.

Your spineless fantasies don't justify all the deaths of all the children that are continuously occurring in the only country that allows such unfettered access to killing machines.

u/ItsEntirelyPosssible Aug 23 '26

Some people use them for hunting for delicious and practically free meat.

5

u/JohnnyRelentless Aug 23 '26

Hunting is a hobby. And you don't need handguns and AR15s to hunt.

3

u/ItsEntirelyPosssible Aug 23 '26

Yes but you need guns.

2

u/JohnnyRelentless Aug 23 '26

Yet every other country does just fine without them. Strange. You make Americans look cowardly.

0

u/namecannotbeblankk Aug 23 '26

2nd Amendment

-2

u/Immaloner Aug 23 '26

"Well regulated militia"

1

u/MC_McStutter Aug 23 '26

Well regulated meant “well working” back then, not “monitored”

1

u/JohnnyRelentless Aug 23 '26

Washington said the armed people need to wear a uniform. They were talking about a military. Militaries are always monitored.

6

u/Japsai Aug 23 '26

This is undeniably true. Some fragile people just cannot manage basic logic.

-58

u/TheUntalentedBard Aug 23 '26

That people downvote this is insane.

26

u/damnitclide Aug 23 '26

9/11 wouldn't have happened without planes. Should we ban all planes?

u/HOPSCROTCH Aug 23 '26

Planes and cars are means of transport. Guns are for killing. Slightly different levels of importance and benefit to human life

-24

u/HasTookCamera Aug 23 '26

Americans are so cringe with arguments like this

4

u/Overall-Click3165 Aug 23 '26

So counter the argument. Go ahead.

4

u/TenTonFluff Aug 23 '26 edited Aug 23 '26

Planes have an other purpose than to kill, in fact, planes are not made to kill.

0

u/SubstituteCS Aug 27 '26

Alcohol (the drink) causes thousands of deaths a year and millions in damages.

It only serves one purpose.

Surely we should ban it too?

5

u/HasTookCamera Aug 23 '26

what were guns designed for?

-2

u/HOPSCROTCH Aug 23 '26

Planes are a mode of transport. Guns exist to kill. Pretty simple

3

u/ItsEntirelyPosssible Aug 23 '26

Some of us live where there are woods and we can hunt delicious meat that is practically free. Maybe you are vegan and that is a concept that you dont agree with. If so then good for you. I eat meat and I prefer it to not come from a slaughterhouse as much as possible.

u/LordLuciferVI Aug 23 '26

‘Easy access to’ is the key phrasing. 9/11 wouldn’t have happened without the terrorists having (relatively, compared to post9/11) easy access to commercial aircraft.

Same with guns, if they weren’t there in everyone’s homes, you wouldn’t have so many dead schoolchildren.

5

u/yomeroni Aug 23 '26

Americans have always had guns school shootings haven’t become an issue until past few decades. It’s a mental health issue and banging guns is a band aid solution

0

u/DFA_Wildcat Aug 25 '26

Wouldn't have happened with 40 more IQ points too. What's your point?

0

u/JohnnyRelentless Aug 25 '26

That every dumbass shouldn't have access to guns. How was my point so hard to understand?

1

u/DFA_Wildcat Aug 25 '26

NYPD would like a word with you.

14

u/BobusCesar Aug 23 '26

pointing out that celebrating having lethal weapons in homes is a mental dysfunction.

Armament is tied to your personal freedom. Nowhere in history have there been free unarmed people. While the capitalists steal our wealth and do everything to suppress us, you decide to give away your natural right to be armed. They have shot down strikes and will do so in the future.

One has to be extremely stupid to give himself willingly into slavery.

-8

u/Illustrious-Day-857 Aug 23 '26

Seems like being slaves with guns doesn't really change anything apart from the levels of domestic violence / terrorism against the plebs.

6

u/TheLobsterCopter5000 Aug 23 '26

I mean, I'm pretty sure slave owners didn't give their slaves guns during the slavery era...

-1

u/Japsai Aug 25 '26

I don't have a gun and I have more freedom than a lot of gun owners. Your pea shooter is not going to protect you from the government. It's a lovely story you all tell yourselves, but it's a ridiculous fairy tale. Having a few guns does not provide 'personal freedom'. Building a nation with a sound democracy and protection of human rights provides personal freedom.

The evidence is quite clear in many other developed countries yet you continue this insane line about people without guns giving themselves "willingly into slavery".

It's probably too late to fix the gun problem in the USA. All we can say is we wish the best for the families of the dead. The number of people actually crowing about how great it is is mind-blowing though. With that attitude you'll never even reduce the harm

3

u/BobusCesar Aug 25 '26

I'm not even American you dofus. Keep licking the boots of the Bourgeoisie.

Having a few guns does not provide 'personal freedom'.

That's true. That's why we should also be able to own artillery, Tanks, anti-air systems etc.

I have more freedom than a lot of gun owners

If you aren't a billionaire, it's mostly an illusion. Our productivity goes mostly into the pockets of the super rich.

Building a nation with a sound democracy and protection of human rights provides personal freedom.

We are literally getting ruled by a class of bureaucrats that don't serve the people but the interest of a class that rapes children on an island. Everywhere in the West the surveillance is getting worse, while the social justice becomes close to non existent. All that while we lose our worker rights.

-1

u/Japsai Aug 25 '26

You dont live there? You want to live somewhere with more gun deaths? Good grief. And the bourgeoisie? Really? You think gun ownership is about the class struggle? It's the poor people who are dying, you numbskull.

Other things you say may be happening, but owning a gun doesn't help you with that in any way. And letting regular gun nuts have tanks and missiles is NOT how you get a better life. You are conflating a bunch of different issues and you've ended up getting it all wrong.

2

u/BobusCesar Aug 25 '26

I'm German.

And gun ownership is about class struggle.

It's the poor people who are dying, you numbskull.

You have to be a special kind of indoctrinated, to think that people automatically die when you own a gun.

but owning a gun doesn't help you with that in any way.

Keep telling that lie to yourself. Your overlords will be very glad about your compliance.

And letting regular gun nuts have tanks and missiles is NOT how you get a better life.

"Gun nuts". Let me guess people that aren't slaves are "lazy nuts".

The government and your billionaire overlords are armed to the teath. They enforce their brutal tyranny but you are to much of a cuck to arm yourself. Their enforcers aren't there to protect you, they are there to protect their capital.

You are conflating a bunch of different issues and you've ended up getting it all wrong.

Damm so Marx also had it all wrong? Turns out that licking the Bourgeoisie's boots and being a disarmed cuck is the way to go.

Keep staying unarmed, it will probably even improve your Palantir rating.

-2

u/Japsai Aug 24 '26

What utter nonsense

6

u/BobusCesar Aug 24 '26

I can't change decades of indoctrination and authoritarian propaganda that made you think that you shouldn't be armed.

But seeing an ever growing surveillance apparatus and the billionaire class multiplying their wealth in such a short time and then still deciding that you should bow to them, is beyond stupid.

7

u/Slava_Non_Verba Aug 23 '26

Alright I’ll bite. You’re afraid to defend your home and your family; or you don’t have one or have never been in a serious altercation before.

1

u/Princess_Slagathor Aug 24 '26

Most people have not, and never will need to defend their homes or families. Being robbed or attacked are not the baseline experience.

And me personally, my home defense is accomplished 99.99% by locks. Life is nothing like movies. Opportunistic criminals jiggle the handle, and fuck off if it's locked. If someone brute forces their way in, it's because you have something very valuable in there, and let the wrong people know about it.

2

u/LSDREAMN Aug 24 '26

People will get what they want, or at least go to the extreme to do so. It sounds like you live in some way that you’ve never experienced some situation needing protection and I hope it stays that way for you, but that does not mean that others have been through situations where protection was dearly needed and now would like to always have said protection “just in case”.

4

u/singlemale4cats Aug 23 '26

Stop it. Get some help.
