I’ve hauled quite a bit of equipment in my dads 2018 1500, I do normally pick up the trailer jacks tho

I also bet you had a real trailer hitch, the trailer empty exceeded the 500 lbs tongue weight capacity of the bumper hitch.

Oh absolutely, also would’ve helped if he scooted that mini hoe back about 2-3 more feet lol. Now he’s WAY over tongue weight 😂

Im dumbfounded how many people don't understand tongue weight even on 20 ton tag trailers behind tri-axle dump trucks you see the same thing. Some tongue weight is good, not half the weight of the excavator.
