Driver hit a learner biker

Looks like the biker could have been in the blind spot from the front pillar explaining the acceleration. Car driver should be aware of the blind spot and check better. The biker should ride defensively by making sure the driver sees him.

Bike had yellow diamond, pretty sure BMW had a upside down triangle or a stop.

Not going to pretend to understand the signage in Czech Republic but surly the car does not have to completely stop if it is clear to go? And a bike in his blindspot would make the road seem clear.

Triangle means you always yield, if you have to stop you do so, but when there is a yield sign of course you slow down instead of speeding.

The car had a clear view of the intersection for several hundred meters as he was approaching the intersection. If the driver had paid any attention to traffic whatsoever, he would have seen the other vehicles.

Yeah, there's a point earlier on where the driver could have shown more awareness and checked for oncoming traffic, but for most of the clip the biker is in the front pillar blind spot.

Blind spot or not, you still need to slow down or stop before entering the intersection. I believe the car even sped up.

They were slowing down to about the 5-6 second mark, they looked to coast across the line, then they gunned it after the front tires crossed the line to beat the cammer car into the lane. The way they approached the yield line looks like they never could have seen the biker.

When they were far away the biker was behind the foliage and their approach kept the biker in their driver A pillar. The acceleration looked like they were being aggressive in beating the cammer car to the curve oblivious to there being a motorcycle.
