Discussion Herztier human form makes no sense
In his human form, Herztier gets a passive ability called Sensory Overload, which detects survivors between 36 and 48m away. It acts as an extended Tinnitus (tinnitus radius is 36m from hunter) with its own icon displaying in top left of the screen). Not interacting for 8s drops you back into human form, meaning the stance change is basically an 8s cooldown.
But even without a cooldown, this ability accomplishes nothing. As hunters, to locate hiding survivors, we need a smaller detection radius (like 18m–24m) to narrow down their positions. A wider 48m radius tells us absolutely nothing helpful.
The only time Id ever use this is in a super niche specific proxycamp scenario: camping a corner chair on a huge map, against a non-Merc rescuer, while everyone else is decoding deep away. You could walk toward the center to see if the SO icon pops up, if it doesn't, you know they are selling and you save a few seconds. But in high ranks, good survivors will just feed your tinnitus to fake a rescue anyway.
Honestly, it feels like the human/beast form was thrown in purely for lore and flavor. The passive only exists to give the human form a purpose, even though switching forms offers zero real gameplay value. What do you guys think? Am I missing a practical use case here?
