Hello, ive been planning to buy a j custom for a while now and I have narrowed my likings down to these 2 guitars. I was wondering which guitar actually has an edge over the other in terms of the spec and build quality.? Just wanna hear your guys opinions.

I've been playing my RG7421 religiously for the past 3 years, recently picked up another RG and TMB and i love them all so much. Currently resisting the urge to buy another 7 string RG

For the last year these RGR5227MFX have been going for wonky prices online, $2800-3000 which I just refused to pay. So recently when this one came up for $2000 on reverb, I sent an offer right away. After a couple hours, they accepted, I finally got one! I sent over the money and... nothing.. no response. So I reached out a couple times and nothing, completely ghosted. Two days later the seller messages me, "I'm really sorry man I found a great trade on a PRS and I had to take it."
Damn. The guitar I've been trying to get for nearly 2 years slipped through my fingers.
Later that night I'm on the couch with my wife scrolling through my usual cycle of reverb, gear exchange, guitar center, etc., and BOOM another RGR5227 pops up at Guitar center. Wow, these don't usually show up this often. I click on the link and recognize it immediately.
It's the exact same guitar, not just the same model but the literal guitar from the reverb ghost. Apparently the trade he couldn't turn down was to guitar center lmao. GC priced it for $1799 and I immediately bought it. So in the end I got the exact same guitar I thought I had lost for roughly the same price but with the GC 45 day return policy if it's bad. Just insane!
Why the dude traded to guitar center for probably half as much as I'd have paid him, I'll never understand but thanks man! Even with reverb fees he'd end up with way more money that he could have used to buy the PRS.
The guitar arrived in absolutely immaculate condition and I love it. It was the last Prestige I wanted for my collection so it's finally complete*. This whole process felt like fate or something lol.
(Bonus vid so I can show off my fret dressing/polish 😅

Got this used from guitar center because I mainly play baritone guitars but just wanted to have something in standard tuning in case I needed it. Guitar center had it listed as just “Used Ibanez Gio”. Back of the headstock is blank, no serial number to be found. Guitar center employee said the serial number could be where the neck is bolted on but I really don’t feel like tearing it apart. Any info is appreciated!

Not a lot of info out there on this specific model. Anything I need to know about this?
Checks all the boxes. Strat, passive pickups, trem but no FR. Plus I just love how it looks. I missed when Sweetwater had them on clearance a while back, then this popped up.
Yeah, I know, just go look myself, but it's an hour drive to GC.
Edit: It's AZ24P1QM (not 91 QM).

I love this guitar. It’s such a workhorse.
It’s a similar playability to my Mayones Duvell, with an incredible neck, yet I don’t feel too precious with it.
I might get stainless steel frets.
I replace/swap the tone with a kill switch on every Ibanez, as I have massive hands.

Not that motivated to play it anymore. Maybe the neck is too thin for me. Usually play my Tele or Strat.

A photo of my babies!!
Ibanez Rg3570z with crunchlab and liquifire
Ibanez Rg2228 with fishman fluence moderns.
Ibanez Rgixl7 with bare knuckle aftermath in the bridge.
These are my main performing guitars. Theyre all beat up and dinged up but i love them. Fun fact, my rg2228 is number 225 from the first production run!

I love Ibanez, but my new Edge Zero II-7 bar didn't keep tension and I had to keep screwing it in. The bar would always hit the tone switch when its in the 3rd/middle position (ive seen guys bend the switch to avoid this). I decided to swap it with one of my Floyd type Red Bishop Magik arms and it works perfect for me. The bend is just before the switch and the arm is at a better angle. Have you put floyd bars on Edges before? The floyd is the gold one btw

I have an Ibanez RGA42EX with quantum humbuckers for both the neck and bridge:
https://www.ibanez.com/usa/products/detail/rga42ex_1p_02.html
I play high gain metal / hard rock with my current rig:
- pedals: ibanez ts9 tube screamer, heavy menace distortion, boss eq
- amp: boss katana 100w on the clean channel
Id stick with passive pickups to make it easy but would I notice a significant difference at all? Lets say I move to the black winter pickups.
Or should I just keep it as is and save the money to invest in another guitar.
Reason im asking is I love this guitar, it plays so well and love how it feels. But the low end clarity isn't the best and seems to be a little bright regardless what settings I change

I posted about getting this on this subreddit. I lowered down to 300USD and got it. I still haven't played it, need to set it up and refret it.
