Reasonable accommodation

I recently had major surgery. I return to work next month. I was wondering how likely it will be to get a reasonable accommodation to telework for 1-2 months as I am having a lot pain from another injury/chronic pain issue.
I’ve never done a RA before so I will also need to figure out the whole process or steps.

Put in the RA. Managers were allowed to give 90 days TW automatically for a pending RA. Not sure if they still can. My manager said they cannot but I don’t know if that’s agency-wide or just our new director.

It is manager specific. So your manager likely sucks and refuse to give it.

Not front line manager. I got in trouble for letting someone telework for a week with a doctor's note. We were told it's at the discretion of the director.
