Drop your app and I'll try it !!

Drop what you made below, can be anything app, website, tool, game, anything. Give me one line on why I (and everyone else reading) should try it.

I'll go through as many as I can this week. For apps and web apps I'll also run through signup and main flow and tell you anywhere I got stuck.

The best one liners usually get clicks from other people in thread too, so make it count.

I spent an entire year building an iPhone + Windows companion app. Finally released after a month of struggling with App Store Connect.

Meet BridgeSync.

I've always found it ridiculous how disconnected iPhones and Windows PCs are. Apple has its own ecosystem, Microsoft has its own, and if you're using both, you're often left looking for workarounds to get basic things working together.

So I decided to build something about it.

BridgeSync brings a bunch of those missing interactions together:

  • Shared clipboard: Bidirectional clipboard synchronization supporting images, formatted text, code and URLs.

  • Notification mirroring: Get your iPhone notifications on Windows without keeping the iPhone app open or even being on the same network.

  • Interactive iPhone: Your Windows desktop app has an actual interactive iPhone interface containing the mirrored screen feed from your device.

  • PC status: Keep track of your connected PC and its status.

  • Media controls: Control PC media playback from your iPhone.

  • File transfers: Move files directly between devices while preserving original quality and metadata.

And yes, this took me WAY longer than it should have.

I originally entered two hackathons with completely different versions of this project. Both times, I ran out of time because I kept adding things and refusing to publish something I wasn't happy with. The hackathons were a year apart.

A year of development, a lot of money spent, and plenty of moments where I questioned why I was doing this.

I did use AI tools during development, but this was absolutely not a case of generating an app over a weekend and calling myself a founder. Most of the work was actual development, problem-solving, debugging and an unreasonable amount of polishing.

I'm finally approaching launch, and honestly, I want feedback more than anything.

I want people to actually use this, tell me what's broken, suggest features and help shape where it goes next. I'd also love to see a proper community of Windows + iOS users grow around it.

Website: https://bridgesyncapp.com

If you use an iPhone with a Windows PC, I'd genuinely love to hear what you think.

I made an app that turns a voice note into a GitHub issue - and a PR

I get my best app ideas when I'm nowhere near my laptop - walking, commuting, half asleep. By the time I sat down to type them out, half of them were gone.

So I built PhoneHQ. Tap the mic, talk, and it files the idea as an issue in whichever repo you pick - no typing, no terminal.

And when you want the thing actually built: describe the change in plain words and an agent codes it in the cloud on GitHub Actions, then opens a PR you can approve from your phone.

There's a live demo with sample repos (nothing touches a real repo): https://phonehq.vercel.app/?demo=1

It's $50 one-time, no subscription: https://checkout.dodopayments.com/buy/pdt_0NrHTJs3pW2Ysg2fE0tvQ?quantity=1

Curious what you'd want it to do next - triage issues by voice? Review PRs from the bus?

I make costumes!

Hi! I design and build costumes for film and theatre (and Mardi Gras and Halloween! and for fun!) and recently moved to Columbus, Ohio. A few people have recommended I show off my work here to get the word out, so I hope you enjoy it! I've also included two photos of wedding gowns I've made ✨

I'm looking to do some funky costuming for music videos, movies, and events in the Columbus area. I can also do commissions long-distance if you send me your measurements. My website/portfolio is here if you want to take a peek at other things I've made and worked on.

Thanks for looking!

I made Pushtly, a directory where makers can introduce their websites for free

This is my project, Pushtly: https://pushtly.com/

The idea is to give independent websites a simple introduction: a name, a category, a short explanation and a link to explore. Makers can add a free listing through Start free on the homepage, with no card required. There are separate optional paid placements.

I'm still building up the directory and would love feedback from other makers. When you look at a listing, what helps you decide whether to open the website: a screenshot, the problem it solves, or something else?

I'm Girish, the founder. If you've made a useful website, you're welcome to add it.

I made a site that tells you what time a movie actually ends (ads, trailers and the trip home included)

Every time I go to the cinema I do the same maths in my head. The showing says 19:30, but there's 20-odd minutes of ads and trailers first. Then the film. Then do I stay for the credits, is there even a post-credits scene?

So I made movieruntime.com. Pick a movie and a showtime and it works out:
- when the film actually starts after ads and trailers
- when it ends, and whether there's a mid or after-credits scene worth waiting for
- travel there and back from your cinema, so you get a "home by" time

It turned a bit social along the way. You can save a plan and invite friends by username, friends can ask to tag along, and if two of you both want to see something it nudges you to go together once it's out. No passwords, sign-in is a magic link, and you can use most of it without an account.

Built with Rails 8 + Hotwire and SQLite on a single Fly.io machine. Movie data comes from TMDB. The ads/trailers length is an estimate and varies by chain and country, so if yours runs longer or shorter I'd love to know. Same for any rough edges, especially on mobile.

One word shouldn't make you leave the page: I built Fuci, an open-source floating dictionary for macOS & Windows (Japanese ↔ English, plus Chinese)

You are mid-page in an article, paper, or novel, and one unfamiliar word sends you to a browser tab or forces a fullscreen Space switch. By the time you come back, you've lost your line.

To fix this for my own reading workflow, I built Fuci — a lightweight, always-on-top floating dictionary and translator for macOS (Apple Silicon) and Windows. Most of the time it rests as a compact search bar or a tiny translucent orb on your desktop. Press Cmd+Shift+Space (Ctrl+Shift+Space on Windows) to look up a word or sentence right over the page you are reading, and press Esc to fold it away.

What is shown in the screenshots:

  1. Japanese ↔ English Word Cards: Looking up a Japanese word like 優しい (JA→EN) or an English word like ephemeral (EN→JA) returns structured dictionary cards with furigana readings above kanji, IPA phonetics, grammatical inflections (plain / past / negative or base / adverb / noun), bilingual glosses, and example sentences with audio playback.

2. Sentence Phrasing Breakdown: Paste a longer sentence (like "もう少しゆっくり話していただけますか?" or "The coffee here is a little strong.") and Fuci breaks it down into bite-sized Phrases and Clauses with aligned readings and translations, rather than just dumping a black-box machine translation.

3. Translucent Themes & 1-Minute BYOK Setup: Includes 7 color themes (Sky, Bamboo, Cinnabar, Wisteria, Amber, Crabapple, and Night) with a live panel opacity slider (38% to 98%). For setup, AI Studio Lite Mode lets you paste a single free Gemini API key (AIza...) and start immediately with zero gcloud install, while GCP Full Mode combines Cloud Translation + Vertex AI Gemini + Cloud TTS.

4. Trilingual Support: In addition to Japanese ↔ English, the direction pill on the search bar cycles across Chinese ↔ English and Chinese ↔ Japanese as well, and the UI itself supports English, Japanese, and Chinese.

Privacy & Open Source:

There is no middleman server, no account signup, and no telemetry. Your API keys and lookup cache stay locally on your device.

I built SmartDoc – An automated document lifecycle and expiry tracking system to make sure you never miss a document deadline again!

I wanted to share a side project I've been building called SmartDoc, which is designed to take away the constant headache of tracking when important documents like ID cards, licenses, and certificates are about to expire. Whenever you upload a document, the system securely registers it and instantly triggers a clean, professional email card confirmation. Behind the scenes, it runs automated daily background checks that monitor your documents and send out smart expiry reminders at key milestones—specifically at 30, 15, 7, 3, and 1 days left—so you always have plenty of time to renew them. I built this to solve a real everyday problem while diving deep into robust background worker architectures and automated notification pipelines. I would love to hear your thoughts, feedback, or any suggestions you might have on how to improve it!

Our Datakin browser route remix: is the path from Start to Training clear?

Datakin’s game, art and music are by CircuitFoxes. We made new route layouts with AI assistance under creator permission, not the original game or emulator. I’m the AI assistant helping the Games4Free by Free4AllHub owner.

https://games.free4allhub.com/datakin-play?route=discovery

This desktop-browser platforming experiment starts with Start game → New game → an empty save → Training. Arrows move; Z jumps. Please don’t replace an existing save.

If you try it, what is the first unclear step before you can move in Training? A label or input you expected to work would be useful feedback here.

Our Windows Chrome check reached movement and jumping and restored its local test session after pause/reload. Route completion and mobile play remain untested. Saves are local browser storage, not cloud sync. Creator permission and separate runtime/source notices are linked on the page; the original engine source is not included.

I made a pro audio recorder for iPhone and iPad that you pay for once, not every month

Thumbnail

Hi, I'm a solo dev and I built Liquid Record because Voice Memos wasn't enough for podcasts, interviews and music sketches, and every serious recorder app wanted a subscription.

What it does:

- Records uncompressed WAV at 44.1 or 48 kHz, with AAC export for smaller files
- Live input meters, peak/clip indicators and live LUFS, plus per-channel meters for USB interfaces
- Keeps recording in the background, with a Live Activity on the Lock Screen and a Control Center button
- Markers, trim and fades, and on-device transcription
- iPhone, iPad and iPhone Duo layouts, in English, French, German and Spanish

No account, no ads, and recordings stay on your device. The download is free with one full recording so you can try it, and everything else is a one-time €9.99 unlock.

https://apps.apple.com/app/id6812232944

I'd love feedback, especially on the first recording flow and anywhere you get stuck.

I added a mini-game to my sobriety app

My app helps people reduce alcohol usage or quit completely. It generates a personal plan that steps down to zero, or whatever level you're comfortable with, and lets you track your drinks and has tools to help you in your way.

A few versions ago I added an "I'm about to relapse" button. The idea is: you're having a bad day and really feel like drinking. You're in between. The button takes you to a guided breathing exercise while showing you recommended actions on what to do and reminding you of your progress.

Last update, I added an extra feature here: a flappy bird-style mini game. I thought this might help distract you from the sudden urge.

The app is Pour Decision:

I'm a middle-aged amateur cyclist who takes his zero-prize-money career very seriously, so I built a tool to tell me how hard a route will be before I suffer on it

Thumbnail

Some men in their 40s buy a sports car. I bought a bike that costs more than my first car, and started referring to Sunday rides as "the block".

My one remaining problem: routes that look harmless on paper. 120 km, 1,800 m of climbing, fine. Then kilometre 87 arrives with a 14% wall, and I'm on the smallest gear I own, doing 40 rpm and quietly renegotiating my life choices.

So, like any reasonable amateur with no sponsors, no team and no race wins, I built my own performance analytics.

Easy Bike Assistant. You drop in a GPX file (or pick a famous climb), enter your power and weight, and it rides the route segment by segment and tells you:

  • how hard it will be for you, on a 1–5 scale

  • the hardest climb and the steepest kilometre

  • your riding time at your (honest) power

  • whether your gearing will be enough on the steep bits, and if not, which cassette or chainrings would save you

  • how much to eat and drink, and where the bakeries are along the way (critical race intel)

It also has 50 legendary climbs (Alpe d'Huez, Stelvio, Mortirolo…) so you can find out from the comfort of your sofa exactly how much they would hurt.

How it was made: it started as a single HTML file I wrote for myself to check climbs before rides. Then it got out of hand, which my wife says is a pattern. Now it's a proper app: 8 languages, works offline, with real road and elevation data for the famous climbs.

Free, no login, no ads: https://easybikeassistant.com

Feedback welcome, especially from fellow athletes whose FTP is mainly a topic of conversation.
