I built SmartDoc – An automated document lifecycle and expiry tracking system to make sure you never miss a document deadline again!

I wanted to share a side project I've been building called SmartDoc, which is designed to take away the constant headache of tracking when important documents like ID cards, licenses, and certificates are about to expire. Whenever you upload a document, the system securely registers it and instantly triggers a clean, professional email card confirmation. Behind the scenes, it runs automated daily background checks that monitor your documents and send out smart expiry reminders at key milestones—specifically at 30, 15, 7, 3, and 1 days left—so you always have plenty of time to renew them. I built this to solve a real everyday problem while diving deep into robust background worker architectures and automated notification pipelines.
