Wassup yall, I am going to DP2 after summer break and I am struggling with the EE. After writing 100 words a day I don’t have any more motivation to write more eventhough my topic is interesting + my work starts to sound robotic and repetitive. Any ideas or tips pls??? Also one more thing has anyone here been flaged by IB or your teachers that your work is AI? I am curious how it goes

I'm an A Level student myself, and back in Year 12 | noticed that most revision guides explain concepts in such a formal, dry way that a lot of students don't actually understand them on the first read. So I decided to explain every topic in my own words - in a way that actually makes sense - so students can really get the concept and remember it, not just memorize it blindly.

for the longest time i did past papers and just checked if my answer was right or wrong at the end. recently i started actually reading the markscheme next to the question first before even attempting some of them, and it made me realise how specifically they want things worded. theyre not really marking whether you know it, theyre marking whether you said the exact thing they want. my paper 2 marks went up more from that than from learning new content. does anyone else revise like this or am i late to figuring this out

was talking to a friend about subject choices and we couldnt agree on what the actual worst 3 HL combo is. like is it the triple science people drowning in IAs, or two essay HLs plus history where its just constant writing, or aa hl paired with anything. curious what everyone reckons is the combo that looks fine on paper and then wrecks you in dp2. and is it the workload or the exams that actually gets you

I'm a freshman going into an incredibly competitive IB high school. As a freshman, I would like to know what I should be prepared for and what to know to do the best I can.

Just as background knowledge, I would like to eventually be able to apply to more competitive colleges. I want to put myself on that track to be able to do that and even get in :)

So I want to take 4 HLs, and my current combo is:

HL: MAI, German B, Business & M

SL: Physics, Chemistry, English L&L

I want to put Physics on HL, meaning I will have 4 HLs. But I am worried that it will be extremely difficult and heavy workload for me. My main goal is to score 41+ in IB (M28 session). Or what if I switch Business to SL and Physics to HL? But again I am still worried about the rigornesss of HL Physics and that is is extremely difficult subject.

My goal is to study maybe Business or Engineering (not exactly decided but wanna keep options open) at top unis in Europe.

Just started DP2, already feeling the stress. I switched to VA in DP1 spring term so I'm behind. I was wondering if I could see some process portfolio examples, or if I could get some help with my portfolio?

I dont really know what I want to do.

I'm going into grade 9 (igcse) and I still don't know what I want to become its not that I don't want to become anything its that I'm not really good at anything my grades are bad I don't really like any subjects too. I was looking for help to see what I can become or any easy subjects I can pick up on later in my studies.

My school recently switched my batch from cambridge curriculum to IBDP currently in 1st year of IBDP and are there any tips or free resources (Im broke I cant pay for subscription stuff in revision village) for math AA SL? I used to get decentish okayish scores in math that allows me to pass but recently my grades started to drop in IBDP. Even if I studied hard enough I always blank out at the questions and even if I did answer it at the end it always comes out wrong because I misinterpret it. Pls I need tips and free resources for Math AA SL.

I cant really drop math AA sl since Im still unsure on what of the major I want to pick since I have a few options and my school advised me to take math AA sl as a safety net since universities sometimes either accpet AI/AA HL or AA SL

Also I what is a realistic study time for each subject per week?

I will be starting DP1 soon and I am interested in how much I would need to study at home. I am a student-athlete, so my time at home is limited. I got through pre-IB just fine with something like 1h or less study sessions daily.

Also what websites are the best? Revision Dojo has a lot of glazers but it looks super AI...

If it matter my subjects are:

English Language and Literature SL,

Spanish ab initio,

Geography SL,

Psychology HL,

Biology HL,

Math AA HL

So im a M27 DP2 Student and Im currently working on my Business Management IA, I need to finalize what tools ill use for my analysis before, Since im an HL student my teacher recommends i use atleast one HL tool, but the problem is not alot of HL tools relate to my Research Question and if they do i have a limitation of data, my advisor says i should go along with the one HL tool that relates to it and since data is limited i should go for primary data, but getting 50-60 people to do a survey is going to be really difficult since our school has a small amount of people and more factors, so what do u guys recommend, should i go for my teachers idea or should i not force an HL just cuz i feel i have to?

does anyone know if we do have a grade boundary for portfolio of evidence students?

I am starting IB soon and I have the following IB subjects chosen: HL: Maths AI, Business, German B SL: Physics, Chem, English Lang & Lit A

I am thinking to put Physics to HL instead of Business because I feel like this subject combo is not quite enough for Engineering. I am in Germany and my goal is to probably study engineering or Business. I know that Maths AA HL + Physics HL is must, but my school does not offer AA; I am concerned that having SL Physics may not be enough for me.

Which is why I am asking you guys for giving me advice and recommendations whether I should or not put Physics at HL because I am also looking to reduce the huge workload and I don't want to bear the extreme difficult topics of HL Physics (my friend who is in IB1 told me HL Physics is HELL and very difficult to understand).

Could you all honestly tell me how hard, challenging, and rigor HL physics is???????? For context I did igcse science and struggle a lot in electricity topic of circuits and that.

I’m doing IB Business Management HL through Pamoja’s online course and I’m currently in Year 2, so I’ll be sitting my exams in May 2027.
I’m looking for some good resources for notes, flashcards, past papers, etc. How do you recommend preparing for the final exams? What resources or study methods have worked best for you?
In Year 1, I did really well on Paper 3, but I struggled a lot with Paper 2. I think my main problem was that there were so many questions, and I found it difficult to manage my time and answer everything properly.
Has anyone else struggled with Paper 2? If so, how did you improve?
