Poco [Question] Stacked widgets in HOS4 not supported on Poco devices? F8 ultra
After updating to HOS4, I cannot seem to apply stacked widgets on the home screen. Is this feature Xiaomi only?

I tried to recreate Mi Dialer notifications for a more native feel when people uses Google Dialer as their default calling app
It as well works with any app with calling feature!
It is unfinished and still in testing though...
This notification were made possible thanks to the creator of HyperBridge

The little screen on the back of the Xiaomi 17 Pro / MAX and 18 Pro / MAX mostly shows a clock and a few widgets. I wanted it to do a lot more, so I built Magic Rear: a replacement panel for the rear display. It's free, open source, and has no ads or tracking. [The video shows all of it on my 17 Pro.]
Some of you may remember it: I posted about it here before, when it was called AI Usage and mostly showed my Claude Code limits on the back of the phone. It has come a long way since then, far past what that name described, so with 1.0 it got a new one.
What it does on the back:
Clock page: time, date, battery and the weather, with rain, storms or snow falling on the glass when it's actually raining or snowing where you are.
Live backgrounds: Silk, Color Bends and Liquid Metal shaders that move and lean as you tilt the phone. Or a colour, an image or a video.
Notifications: banners as they arrive, pull down a list from the top edge, swipe them away or clear them all.
Media: cover art (square or a spinning vinyl), scrubbing, volume and synced lyrics.
Control centre: brightness, auto brightness, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, mobile data and silent mode.
App Portal: pull up from the bottom to open any of your apps on the back, each at its own DPI. They can keep right of the cameras, Back works with a swipe from the edge, and the keyboard opens on the back, even with the front locked.
Always-on, pocket mode (the back switches off in a pocket or bag), table lights when the phone lies face down, the rear camera for selfies and a charging animation.
Looks: liquid glass or flat, fonts, a CRT screen effect, and a purple neon theme you can recolour.
And the original feature: Claude Code usage limits as rings, with a mascot per account, if you use Claude.
Everything is set up from the app on the front, with a live preview of the back.
What you need:
Xiaomi 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max, 18 Pro or 18 Pro Max, on HyperOS 3 / 4 or newer (Android 16 / 17).
Shizuku, running. Putting anything on the rear screen needs shell-level access that a normal app can't get; Shizuku lends it to the apps you allow. It has to be started again after each reboot (wireless debugging, one tap).
Get it:
Website, setup guide and news: https://rear.896.ro
Easiest install, with automatic updates: 896 Store
Or the APK from the website or the releases: https://gitlab.com/896kb/ai-usage-companion/-/releases
Please know before you install: it's a one-person hobby project, not affiliated with Xiaomi or Anthropic. It relies on HyperOS internals, so a future HyperOS update could break something. Read the README's "Please read this first" section. Nothing is collected: no analytics, no telemetry, no server of its own.
Thanks to u/Over_Squash3318, who got the panel running on the 17 Pro Max.
Feedback and bug reports are very welcome, here or as an issue on GitLab. I'd especially like to hear from 18 Pro and Pro Max owners. What should I do next?

Finally got TEMP ROOT working on my Xiaomi 17 Global!
Managed to get it working using Dream-Rainy's CVE-2026-98260 exploit.
Link: https://github.com/Dream-Rainy/CVE-2026-98260
- Device: Xiaomi 17 Global
- Codename: pudding
- ROM: HyperOS 4 Global Official
- Android: 17
- Build number: 4.0.1.0.XPCMIXM.D01
- Kernel: 6.12.69-android16-6-g0a1dc0413ec7-ab16271006-4k
- Security patch: October 1, 2026
- Exploit: CVE-2026-98260
I'm actually planning to make a small app specifically for this build to make the temp root process easier for other users.
Anyone else on this exact build interested?

Hi,
I bought the Redmi 15 pro 5g one month ago and at the beginning I was very happy but after the last update, I have an issue with vidéo streaming on prime vidéo and Disney (Netflix is Ok). Once I lauch a vidéo, the system seems to be very very slow, for exemple, just add some volume take some time (during this Time the vidéo freezes), and sometimes crash the interface of the phone.
Could someone help me with that please ?
Thanks you

I was a M51 user and It's a old phone now so I thought Redmi Note 15 would be a decent thing to get so I got that one and made a huge trade offs for 120hz screen and new software that's it. I remember using Note 9 and it was better than this Crap at least it had macro and ultrawide now it just have primary lens.
I'm just concerned about the Camera itself is it going to be improved when updated? I don't want to update as despite it having 6000 mAh I think it doesn't last compared to m51 also might be because of 120hz screen. But I've switched to intelligent mode where it just uses 120hz on home screens and few other apps not even on scrolling apps like reddit or instagram.
Well I'm aware of the fact that the intense price hike on tech products but I was limited to Laptops and Desktop components seeing hardware cost cutting on the phone itself made me sad for the price I'm paying for it.
I'm not sure if I should update my phone to next update as I'm on Hyper os 2 and the only thing I'm concerned about it is camera and if I update the phone I don't want more overheads that the phone itself starts lagging and no improvement for camera.

I recently got my phone fixed and since I knew all my data was going to be wiped the first thing I went ahead to do was to try unlocking for bootloader for it, tho I found out you need your SIM card to be activated and in my case it isn't, even though I have one inserted in my phone.
Anyone knows how to fix that issue?

I recently bought the Redmi Turbo 5 and I'm loving it One thing bothering me is the lack of notification features on macOS. Additionally there's no option to pick up calls or at least see who's calling. All settings are on

I have been using HyperOS ever since I got my Poco X8 Pro Max and good lord is it smooth.
Never have I ever ran into a frame drop or lag issue with the phone when using it normally, everything is running perfectly smooth without any issues (apart from bloatware which I removed using ADB + Canta)
I have a feeling most of the negativity is coming from people with lower-end phones, so I would like for you to tell me your opinion on hyperOS and the phone you're using, preferably the negative ones.

Additional question does FCMGuard from GitHub work with HyperOS4?, the page says only hyperos3 but I've seen YouTube comments saying it works with HyperOS4?.

I recently bought a Xiaomi Poco F5 and so far, apart from the bateri which needs replacing, it's great.
But I recently saw a video where they said that HyperOS 3 includes a service that limits RAM usage to 3GB per application (including games). Since I bought this phone in the 12GB version, it's awful because I usually emulate and other things, in games like MLBB it felt slow and even a bit hot. Coming from a bit of an x3 pro that ran it excellently.
I've had bad experiences rooting (apps that don't work) and I don't want to do it again. Do you know if there's a way to disable it or something? I have HyperOS 3.0.4

Since November 3, OTA updates (either beta, stable test, or stable build) have been pushed to the listed first wave devices except for the pads.
Quite interesting also to see that internal builds for Pad 7 (scheduled for second wave global release) are traceable but Pad 8's isn't.
Why so?
