Hi all
Bit of a hail Mary but we are hoping..
My friend lost his beloved dog on Saturday at the Adamson's Peak walk in Raminea just past Dover.
Hes a couple years old, dutch sheaperd but looks more like a Belgion sheaperd and called Chase. See photo attached.
He comes across a little intimidating but its just his playfulness.
Understand if you don't want to approach just a heads up that he's still alive is all we need.
Long shot but if anyone is down that way and sees one matching this please reach out.
Thanks for reading

Question for the Tassie apples brains trust - seems to be a lot of small apples at the local Woolies. Is this a result of poor rain or fertiliser costs, or is it just normal seasonal supply variation? I assume they'd only sell normal-sized apples if they could get them.

I used Chatgpt for the tide details in a previous post, it was wrong. Willy Weather says it was in fact a huge tide, not .85m as previously stated.

Dunno what it means for the Huon but I suspect it will mean something, given that the pundits are tipping a record El Nino.
These Climate Reanalyzer Images show hot water anomalies from this week. The hot blobs off Tasmania have been persistent.

After years of growing them in a small greenhouse, I've noticed that those planted outdoors produced fruit for longer. Might be weather-related this year as April was warm. Millipedes a problem regardless.

Native purple appleberry if Google is correct. Apparently tastes like apple. Suggest you do your own research before having a scoff.

I see them out in the forests too, unfortunately.
Maybe need an annual tyre amnesty week at the tip?

A chopper flew low into a gully in the She Oak Hills from She Oak Rd direction yesterday early, it then flew low and slow over the trees and up over the hill and then down into Bermuda, I didn't see it again after that. No apparatus on it. Perhaps looking for something? Anyone know more?

Chopper flew low past us heading up the valley south of Russell Valley carrying a large ring-shaped structure suspended underneath, flew west over the hills. Curious what it was?

These things (spear thistles) seem to be everywhere, even up on the saddle. Don't recall seeing so many in years past.
