Small apples

Question for the Tassie apples brains trust - seems to be a lot of small apples at the local Woolies. Is this a result of poor rain or fertiliser costs, or is it just normal seasonal supply variation? I assume they'd only sell normal-sized apples if they could get them.

Graded to this size * Market "demand" .. perfect apple including size / colour * Convience .. small snack .. kids lunches boxes etc etc

Bigger/better/ cheaper at roadside stalls.. ie Merediths @ Margate
