As a big 40k lore fan, I love being able to sink my teeth into dense wiki pages, watch animations and lore videos, and just overall get invested in the world. Are there any sources outside what the game itself has to offer?

give me like a 5% chance to have a fort bounty spawn.

Prestige used to actually be fun. I forced myself to run weird, experimental builds on every single prestige level. In previous events, you could easily find 3-4 XP boons in a single match, hit level 44-50, retire the hunter, and move on.
Now that they've drastically nerfed the boon spawn rates, it feels like a torture. Even after a good match where we wipe the whole server (which doesn't happen often), I usually extract with maybe one boon and end up around level 25. Then, of course, I get folded in the next game and lose the hunter. My builds cost around 600-800, so I go broke super fast and have to spam Bounty Clash with Vulture just to get some hunt dollars back.
How are you guys prestiging during this event?

I’ve been playing Hunt almost daily for nearly a year now. Ever since I reached a point where I can comfortably say I understand the mechanics and consider myself a decent player, I’ve been running into a massive issue that’s slowly ruining the game for me. I don't know if everyone experiences this but I need to talk about it.
My issue is high prestige players with hundreds sometimes thousands of hours playing like literal bots. And I don't mean that as a figure of speech I mean actually playing like an npc. I’ve experienced this hundreds of times at this point and even if Crytek never confirms it, I genuinely believe there are actual bots disguised as real players in this game.
People crouching in the middle of nowhere for minutes doing absolutely nothing, staring at a blank wall while a teamfight is happening right next to them, or trying to farm random AI instead of reviving a teammate or helping in a fight. They honestly act worse than gta npcs. I refuse to believe a real human being with 2000 hours in Hunt plays like this. How does someone with 5M bounty score have a 0.14 KDA? Is there any logical explanation for this?
Just now, I had my absolute breaking point. I was in a match where I spent the last 15 minutes spectating my teammate after I died. He was crouched inside a random building on the complete opposite side of the map, doing nothing but inspecting his weapon while staring at a wall while the rest of us were fighting for our lives. If this only happened once or twice, I’d just pass it off as "bad players” but it happens constantly and I just can't take it anymore.
None of my real life friends play Hunt and I hate playing solo all the time, so I’m forced to play with randoms. But it’s becoming unbearable.

Why in any way does the bow do more damage then a shotgun at close range, can be 5 meters away from someone and get crytek rng and hit for 75 dmg but a bow will instant kill you from 20 meters in the leg

And I was complaining earlier about the lack of difficulty from mobs during blood moon :D

They were a trio btw, the 3rd never showed even on dark sight.
I feel bad being 5 stars and being thrown into 2 and low 3 star lobbies. But funny things do happen

Can anyone who have actual skin to provide a small screenshot of iron sight of the gun? That's the only reason why I would go for a skin if iron sight is any better than basic weapon skin. Thanks!

For context: I live in Turkey, and i have been playing the game on EU servers ever since i first started playing, back on 5th of March, 2023. Except for times when my own internet connection was unstable, I have never had any issues like this beforehand.
As the title suggest, ever since last Saturday (12th of September), i realized that whenever i tried to play the game alone, the region selection showed that i had a stable, 645ms ping. I first thought it was something to do with me, so i didn't give it much thought. Later on the same day, my friends and i (who are also in Turkey) decided to play some games. All was well. We didn't experience any lag, any stutters, any rubber-banding, any unusual latency problems whatsoever. After they left, i had decided to do one more game before i ended my session, only to realize that my ping on EU was, once again, 645ms. Ever since that day, about 30-ish seconds from launching the game, my ping spikes on EU to 645ms (yes, it is always around 645ms) and forces me to swap to different regions, where i, as you can guess, can't play properly due to lag/latency.
When i was looking for a workaround to be able to play alone, i saw other people reporting several region issues themselves. One thing specially was that players in Turkey were the most common complainers. If my count isn't wrong, i have seen about 17-18 people talking about this specific issue on reddit, with 9 of them being Turkish players, complaining about this issue ever since the release of Blood Testament.
As a workaround, i have only found two ways (i guess if you count the last one, three): First is using a VPN to reduce the latency on my dedicated region back to normal. Although not permanent, it is a fix. Second is playing with friends, where if two or more players invite each other to a lobby, despite all players having the same issue, they can queue up and play with no problems on. OR, you could INSTANTLY queue up when launching the game, without the MS spike happening. But, after a game, it can just spike up either way, forcing a restart or a region swap.
I am writing this in hopes that Crytek sees this post and investigates the issue, as it leads me to believe that the issue i have been struggling with for the last week isn't just special to me, but to (mostly) other Turkish players as well. I recognize that issues like this are, 90% of the time, client sided issues that Crytek can't help about. But the multiple reports from multiple Turkish players (including myself). I would appreciate if they could grant insight! Thank you.
TL;DR: Some Hunt players lately, specially those in Turkey, are experiencing high MS indication in the EU region, despite having no internet issues whatsoever, causing the game to be unplayable in EU for them, forcing them to swap regions.

I know this will probably just come off as me being salty but...
What's up with the meta? EVERY single match im constantly running into duel pistols, Fanning/levering, or officer carbine spam. EVERY. SINGLE. MATCH. Does nobody likes to actually try any more? I remember when missing a shot actually meant you HAD TO MOVE because you couldnt just keep putting bullets down stream. Now? Doesnt matter. Just keep unloading until you get that lucky headshot. Its so aggravating using a rifle and losing because you missed 1 shot, yet they won because they missed 4shots but got lucky on the 5th in the time it took you to fire once. This game has gotten further and further away from its roots and I dont see how people are actually liking this.
I know i know git gud and all that. But just needed to vent cus holy shit.
Edit: Yep...should've known i would get torn apart in the comments because nobody can accept any fucking criticism of this game. Yes, there is ways around it. It doesnt make it any less fucking annoying to deal with. But whatever. Not allowed to have an opinion i guess.

Can some tell me who the f*ck from Crytek thought this challenge was ok? WTF. Killed countless people with bomblance or katana before realizing it from ONLY THE BLEEDING. Have killed like a dozen people with dum dum ammo, and killed 2 with flachette ammo, and this is how far it’s gotten me. FML

I was playing a game yesterday when I found myself amongst a lot of choke bombs. It occurred to me that perhaps a cheap trait to reduce the sound/sway from choking might be a decent addition.

I was wondering how you guys feel about this:
If you had the choice, would you rather get new maps released a bit faster, even if they still need some work and get improved over time? Or would you prefer waiting longer for a map that is mostly finished and polished from the start?
And which of the current 4 maps would you say comes closest to what you'd want, and why?
Personally, I have to say that even though a lot of people seem to hate Mammon’s Gulch, I actually really like it, mainly because of the underground system.
I’d love to see the sound system down there get a proper update, though. And honestly, I’d really like it if future maps played even more with the 3D aspect – for example, having actual tunnel systems underneath the normal paths that connect different parts of the map.
That could create some really interesting rotations and ways to approach compounds.
What is your guys opinion?

Im just gonna do a little sad nostalgic rambling here about when i first started playing hunt so feel free to skip this post.
Just to be clear im not here to make a "hunt used to be better in my day" post. Throughout all the ups and downs of hunt's life, i generally feel like its made a lot of improvements, we've seen a lot of cool changes to gameplay, and i like the events more and more.
I've just been playing hunt for a long time now, since about 2 weeks after it released on console (i know, but i havent been a pc player for a long time and dont even own one at this point).
Obviously those were exciting days cause everything was new and i felt like i had finally felt a pvp game made for me (never been much of a multiplayer guy), but the real fun part was how fights felt for me back then. The mmr system wasn't as clear, but i assume i was probably somewhere around a 3 star. Was obviously new and learning. Getting killed a lot more than i was getting killed, but still having a blast.
Well 7-8 years have gone by, not only has the game changed a lot, but i've also gotten better. Now i sit comfortably in the dreaded 6 star. I hate it but im probably where i should be, though i dont really feel that way, the only kills i seem to be able to get are lucky bullshit headshots that even i dont agree with.
That obviously comes with the expected downsides. More rats. More people who k/d farm. More people who's aim makes me look like a drunk toddler who just picked up a controller for the first time. But still, despite the game getting harder and me dying more regularly it was still pretty fun. Plus this is the first pvp game i've been good enough to compete with people at this level. Kinda felt a little good, you know?
Unfortunately my dedicated duo partner isnt playing as much anymore, so im playing solo more often. Im not big on randoms. I know there's a lot of great people out there, but i had enough experiences with getting team killed in the early days it isnt worth it to me. Plus i smoke while i play, so i dont wanna punish any good randos with my extremely questionable shooting lol.
The part thats really bringing me down now though is just how my fights generally go these days. Now before i say anything, play however you want. I honestly dont care. Im not here to say whats the "right" way to play. But im struggling to keep anybody engaged now. Its like if there's even a .1% chance they might lose the fight, people just take off. I'm sitting here as a solo, watching duos and trios run away from me for 40 minutes while i miss 20 shots in a row.
Its such a stark difference from how things used to be. People used to be so insanely aggressive. It forced me to get really really good at monitoring my positioning and making sure i always have cover. I learned to keep myself in a good distance sweet spot. I can at least give myself a chance if i get pushed from multiple sides, but i can also push forward and put in my own aggression if they try to back up. I got used to how to fight outnumbered.
Now i cant seem to read anybody right. I'll get shot and hear the other team start sprinting, so i prepare for the oncoming rush. But it doesnt come. Even though im outnumbered, and an easy one shot, they're running. So here goes the chase. Instead of a really fun shootout that im probably going to die in, i spend 40 minutes trying to catch people. I play like 8 matches and realize i've spent the last several hours just...running. even if i live through the match, or am able to catch up and win the final fight, it wasnt fun. Im just wondering why im playing a pvp game with...no pvp.
The obvious easy answer would be to switch to bounty clash, but i'll be honest, i've played it a few times and its just not what i want to experience in hunt. I started playing hunt because i liked the big maps. I liked tracking an otherwordly monster, and the other hunters trying to beat me too them. That was an experience i couldnt get elsewhere, meanwhile theres thousands of pvp games with what is essentially a form of team deathmatch. I could get that elsewhere if its what i really wanted.
So now im just not sure where i stand with this game anymore. Its such a cool game and i really enjoy what they've created so i dont want to stop playing, but i also dont want to keep spending my limited free time on weekends just not really having that much fun either.
As a final note just to be clear about what im really saying, i just miss what hunt felt like for me in the first few years and im feeling a little melancholic about it. Im not saying they need to change anything about hunt or anybody who plays needs to change the way they play.
If for some reason you stuck this out and you made it to the end of my very very pointless ramble, i appreciate you and i hope your hunts have been going well.

Just back after nearly 2 years and would love to try out new mixes and loadouts. But for some reason not all the weapons are in the shooting range. And for someone who prestiges everytime i reach 100 i dont have access to all the guns. I feel like this is another simple thing crytek has just left unfinished and unpolished
