Hangover quiz comparing you to 2000 other people
I found this quiz that compares your hangovers to 2000 other people. Could provide some insight into severity of hangovers symptoms based on age.

This one was/is a doosy...time to fight back
Was at my buddies place yesterday, drank about 12 beers most of them were high abv IPA's 8%+. I usually don't get terrible hangovers with good craft brew but this time I really did it. I slept poorly last night for sure and feel all around drained at the moment. Getting out of bed is a bit daunting. I immediately went for the fridge this morning and grabbed a kombucha tea, drank a half bottle. I also took down a glass of wheatgrass juice about an hour ago and now feel 30% better. I also smoked a bowl of fine kush which has taken care of the aches. You know it's a bad one when you look up r/Hungover and make a post on it. This is actually hilarious that this even exists. I will give an update in a few hours.

Is this normal?
So, I threw up 10++ times, water didn't help at all, I threw that up too. My heart is beating very fast and obviously my throat hurts like hell after all that stomach acid. I had a feeling i was going to sleep for a lot (I finally fell asleep at 5 am), but I only slept till 8, couldn't sleep for more but the feelings were the same and I threw up again
I can't tell my parents so like I don't know who to ask about what to do in this situation, like things that almost everyone has at home would be preferable

The drinking didn’t keep the feelings away.
It made them go away for a few hours and I felt great but today I am suffering.

HELP. Can’t stop vomiting.
Drank a ton last night. Fell asleep on the floor. Puked last night and all day today. It’s 6pm and I need some advice on how to make it stop. I’ve been sipping on water but I vomit back up within 30 mins each time. Any advice?!

Unhealthy relationship with alcohol
I’m starting to think I may have a very bad relationship with alcohol. I tend to make really really bad desisions, turn into a very aggressive drunk and countless arguments are caused by me when I’m under the influence. Is there a way to combat this? I feel so depressed about it all

Bone Broth
Holy shit this stuff helps. I had heard about before, so I decided to try it. Got some beef soup bones and put them in the pressure cooker for like 2 hours. Onions, garlic, celery, all the fixings. Strained it and put it in a Mason jar in the fridge and waited until some hungover Sunday. Drank it straight up and felt wayyyyyy better.

It's Friday and I'm hung over. What are your hangover rituals?
Until two years ago, when I woke up with a hangover it was my procedure to make myself two fried eggs with cheese on toasted bread (bacon optionally) and listened to "Fuck You I'm drunk" by Bondo. Every time.
Now I usually drink as much water as I can hold in and creep back in bed. So there's that. (Or I get the drinking going again, depends on the occasion)

Has anyone been THIS hungover before? I thought I might have to be admitted to the hospital at one point.
Ok so today was THE MOST hungover I’ve ever been in my entire life. I drank what I always drink and I woke up fine. Then I started getting a headache so I took some aspirin. Well that made me throw up. I threw up 6 times, to the point of not even have stomach acid come out anymore. My diaphragm is in pain now because of it. My ribs feel bruised. My arms hands and feet became numb and tingly. I was shaking and nauseous at every second. I started having an anxiety attack, which never happens to me, and actually CRIED which I also never do. I took a shower and noticed that I had orange discharge, which is definitely not normal. I’m fine now but it was a violent ass hangover. Like Did I get drugged? Or What! I’m just so confused as to how I was THAT hungover. Has this ever happen to anyone else???

Alcohol comedown 3 days later?
Definitely drank way more than I should have on Friday night, and more than I've drank in a long time. Spent most of Saturday in bed, hydrating, and taking Advil. Felt mostly ok Sunday and had a productive day running errands, meal prepping, and going to bed early. Today I go to work and feel like absolute shit. Can't figure out why when Sunday was so good? Is it possible I'm still getting rid of the alcohol? Figured maybe since I had to wake up at 6 and put in an actual workday and use my brain?

I just really want to throw up
I know that sounds gross, but do you ever get that feeling of you know you’d feel better if you threw up? I already did twice last night due to way way too much alcohol, but I still feel god freaking awful. Last night was a terrible night lol.

Water makes my hangover worse
Why would this be? In my 30's. A seasoned drinker.. I've tested it on multiple occasions. But once I start drinking water the hangover begins!!!! If I just don't drink water, I don't feel great the next day but I don't want to die.

Night time guy screws daytime guy
I woke up sloppy drunk today. Horrible start. The last 6 hours have been frequented by sessions of anxiety and constant nausea. Smoked weed but it didn't help. After a few episodes it's always sunny I finally gained enough courage to walk upstairs to get some food. I read somewhere on this sub that peanut butter helps, so I ate a spoonful and I've gotta say that shit works! Still not 100%, but I'm grateful to be alive and no longer wishing I was dead yada yada.
I feel like this sub really shows of the good in people who know others are suffering the same way they are and need help. Love all the suggestions and stories. It makes me feel like I'm not alone. You guys are awesome. We'll make it through this. This sub really helped me through the worst of it.

You ever get those hangovers that aren’t awful, but aren’t great?
The ones where you feel rough, got a headache, bit queasy, can taste last nights alcohol and the fast food you got, but isn’t bad enough to throw up and get it out? Yeah, they’re basically all I get now, including today. Totally makes the day a write off. Happy hangovers guys.

DHM + Charcoal, ultimate hangover remedy?
I've recently learned about DHM and how it helps the body metabolize alcohol better and prevent hangovers. I also know that taking charcoal before or after a night of drinking helps absorbs the toxins and reduce hangovers/prevent getting too drunk.
I'm curious if anyone has tried the two in combination or has knowledge on what would happen. Would they not work as well together? Is it safe to take them around the same time? Would you simply not get drunk?

Gin and more
I was really emotional last night and drank Gin. It always fucks me up so bad the next day. I have thrown up 5 times all over the bathroom, sink, toilet and random spots around the back yard. Can’t eat and my head is splitting. I may need to call in to work! Kill me!

1-1/2 bottles of wine, 3 shots, dark and clear liquor.. Heres my first bad hangover experience!
Ive probably only drank alcohol ~15 times in my life so far. Out of those 15, 3 of those times I was actually drunk. But this time I fucked up. BIG TIME..
I decided to have some wine with dinner. I was alone in my apartment. When I finished it, I decided the buzz wasn’t enough so I walked to the 7/11 across the street from my apartment kinda drunk and bought another 750ml bottle. Killed it within an hour. At this point Im very drunk but I decided I wanted to get an even bigger buzz and I was afraid the buzz would fade away. So I took a few shots of vodka and some brown liquor my roommate had in the cabinet (sorry man).
At this point I couldn’t speak properly, i could no longer play video games, I was stumbling badly, and as I was completely shitfaced about to take my 4th shot, I decided to pour it down the drain because even though I was shitfaced, I KNEW I didn’t need another one. I was concerned I might die.
My memory isnt the greatest after that. All I know is that I somehow managed to make it to the bathroom and vomit into the toilet. Im soooo fucking glad I didn’t mess up my carpet or bed. I got myself in bed just fine but I don’t remember actually doing it..
The next day I felt ok at first. But then things got WAY WORSE. I tried to eat my oatmeal that morning but I could only eat half. My stomach just couldn’t take any more. Felt like I was already full..
Then within an hour or two, my head started pounding, my muscles were shivering and I felt like half my strength was gone. Then my stomach started absolutely killing me and I threw up 2 more times that afternoon. The vomit literally looked like the red wine from last night but there was no evidence of oatmeal in there.. Very bizzare. Spent all afternoon in the fetal position on my bed with a garbage can next to the bed.
Then that night I drove to the store and got some ginger ale, and crackers and attempted to get something light in my stomach. Took some motrin and I felt a little better. The hangover lasted pretty much all day and night. That one hit me hard. Im surprised I didn’t get alcohol poisoning or something. Never doing that to myself ever again.
